The jurisdiction of Elgreen Academy is quite extensive, as it falls within the war-torn area of the Dis Mountain Range, and the boundaries of the academy often change.
Abyssal Lake, thirty years ago, did not actually belong to the academy; it was a stronghold of an organization. It only came under the academy's jurisdiction after being absorbed by it.
Unexpectedly, this overlooked place actually conceals some kind of secret resource.
Freya estimates that even the upper echelons of the academy did not anticipate this.
Three days after the incident.
Elgreen Academy, Freya's room.
A large circular magic circle occupies half of the room's space.
The magic circle is composed of dense incantations and spell languages, emitting a faint pulling force from above.
Wearing a Gray Robe, Freya holds a black book in her hand, comparing it while evenly sprinkling white powder around the magic circle, murmuring a strange syllable.
As Freya utters these syllables, the magic circle on the ground surprisingly emits a rhythmic Force Field that seems to resonate with her voice.
This unusual reaction halts abruptly once Freya completely encircles the magic circle with white powder, and the strength of the pulling Force Field finally stabilizes within a certain range.
Feeling satisfied with the subtle fluctuations emanating from the magic circle, Freya lets out a sigh of relief and straightens up.
"To think that I succeeded only once after three precise attempts at mental control; if this intermediate Energy Gathering Array were in the hands of other apprentices, it might truly be considered useless."
The intermediate Energy Gathering Array in her hand was part of the compensation that Rand had reported to her family after returning to the academy. In addition to this array, there were also some Magic Stones and various low to mid-level materials.
