Upon hearing Fran Sith's words, Freya was taken aback. The self-destructing Undead Warriors reminded her of a certain organization from her past life. Although she had killed many, she still held a strong regard for human life.
For a moment, she felt some psychological resistance towards the Elk family.
"Alright, enough about that. After dinner, do you want to go to the training room? It's not every day I meet a strong Knight's Pinnacle like you. I have many swordsmanship questions to ask," Fran Sith said, seemingly noticing Freya's discomfort and deliberately changing the topic.
"Sure, that sounds great. Coincidentally, I have many questions about wizards as well. You know how it is; in my situation, wizards are basically considered Transcendence beings," Freya replied with a smile, recognizing his good intentions.
"Then it's settled. I have some things to take care of first; wait for me in the training room," Fran Sith quickly finished the last bite of bread on his plate and stood up.
"Okay," Freya nodded lightly.
Once Fran Sith completely left the dining hall, she continued eating her unfinished food while reflecting on their earlier conversation.
From Fran Sith's description, it seemed that Elgreen was an area rife with conflict. However, according to what Hegel had mentioned before, Elgreen was not merely a second or third-rate Wizard Organization. It seemed likely that safety could be assured unless something unexpected occurred.
Moreover, during their conversation, Freya began to understand the attitude that people from the Wizarding World held towards ordinary individuals. It was a sense of superiority over mortals and a feeling of disdain for most ordinary lives.
Even the sunny Fran Sith exhibited this attitude towards common people; whether he was aware of it was another matter entirely.
Of course, wizards with powerful and mysterious abilities had the right to such attitudes; it was just something that Freya found somewhat difficult to adapt to.
"I still have so much to learn about the basics of wizardry. I should take advantage of the time I have left," she decided quietly.
In fact, the relationship between the two had initially been one based on mutual needs. This was why Freya had quickly accepted Fran Sith's friendly demeanor. Perhaps Fran Sith had intended this from the beginning as well; it was only now that both had begun to genuinely appreciate each other that they were becoming truly familiar with one another.
Time passed quickly.
The Giant Ship named 'Bosek' was slowly approaching the shore, and the gangway had begun to lower.
Freya stood quietly on the Gunwale, waiting. She had a Cross Sword at her waist and a leather case by her feet. She gazed into the distance at a massive black mountain range, resembling a strange black beast lying in wait.
At the foot of the mountains, the shadows of some town buildings could be faintly seen.
"Is that the Dias Mountains?" Freya turned to ask her companion, Franc Sith.
"Yes, that's right, it is the Dias Mountains," Franc Sith replied with a smile and a nod. "I didn't expect time to pass so quickly. Are you really not going to come with me to my family? With my status, I could provide you with the best resources and knowledge."
Freya was surprised that Franc Sith would try to persuade her again, but she smiled and said, "Heh, although we've only known each other for a little over ten days, you know me well enough. I don't go back on my promises. Besides, the distance between us isn't too far; I will visit when I have the chance."
"Well, I respect your decision," Franc Sith sighed helplessly. He was genuinely impressed by this girl through their interactions.
Although Freya was still an ordinary apprentice who only knew a few things, Franc Sith could see her excellent qualities that were not overshadowed by her current status.
Her absolute rationality, strong willpower, thirst for knowledge, and innate character undoubtedly indicated that no matter what path Freya chose in the future, she had immense potential.
Knowing Franc Sith's regrets, Freya could only shake her head slightly and offered no comforting words.
"Bang!"
The gangway was placed on the bridge below.
"The Dias Mountains have arrived. Please ensure you take your belongings with you when disembarking," a figure in a black robe shouted from a distance.
In addition to Freya, three unfamiliar individuals also disembarked.
"Typically, the Wizard Organization will have receptionists. After you get off the ship, just follow the signs and you will encounter them. It's quite chaotic here, so it's best not to wander off to other places first; you must find your destination first," Fran Sith kindly reminded her.
"Okay, I understand."
After giving Fran Sith one last glance, Freya nodded, grabbed her suitcase, and disembarked with the other three.
On the ship, Fran Sith watched Freya's departing figure with a strange expression. After a while, he returned to his cabin. He had already given Freya his address; simple communication wouldn't be an issue. Whether they would keep in touch in the future depended on fate.
Once Freya disembarked, the Giant Ship retracted the gangway and quickly departed.
Standing on unfamiliar land, with waves crashing against the shore making a "splashing" sound, Freya took a deep breath to mask her turbulent emotions.
In her line of sight was a black signpost.
In addition to indicating the direction of Aelgreen Wizard Academy, it also showed the locations of Serpent's Tooth Tower and Hurricane Fortress.
The other three individuals had no intention of conversing either; after disembarking, they headed directly toward the other two directions.
Freya paused for a moment and walked towards the Aelgreen Wizard Academy.
Half an hour later.
After walking for half an hour following the directions on the sign, Freya passed through a jungle path and, through layers of dense trees, vaguely saw a massive dark building standing isolated in the distance.
The jungle path beneath her feet continued to extend towards that building.
"Is that the Aelgreen Wizard Academy?" Freya frowned slightly, feeling uncertain.
Although the sun was still up, she felt as if the building in the distance was shrouded in shadows, as if covered by a thin mist.
A gentle breeze blew from afar, lifting a few strands of hair from her forehead.
"I smell the scent of a young girl..." a hoarse voice suddenly came from behind Freya. "Strange young one, are you a new apprentice?"
The sudden voice made her alert immediately. She turned to look back but only saw a large Gray Rabbit hopping and staring at her; there was no one else around.
