Freya stared blankly as the dagger was put away.
Dragon Academy, although built on wealth, did not neglect security. The guards at the entrance possessed at least beginner-level knight skills, making it nearly impossible for an ordinary person to sneak in.
Moreover, those with Knight Level strength or higher would not stoop to sneaking in.
But at this moment, she clearly saw someone trying to enter.
'Is there a thief among the students?'
This was the first possibility that came to her mind.
With a creak, the door opened, and under the glow of the White Light Stone, two thin middle-aged men dressed in Black Leather Armor sneaked in. One of them carried a black bag on his back.
However, when they entered the room, they found Freya sitting on the bed, with a Cross Sword beside her. The soft light from the White Light Stone made Freya's still-recovering face appear somewhat delicate.
The sight caught the two middle-aged men off guard; they seemed surprised that a young girl was still awake at such a late hour.
Freya had initially thought it was a student stealing, but unexpectedly, it turned out to be two outsiders, and it seemed their intentions were not as simple as theft.
Her expression turned slightly cold as she drew her Cross Sword with a clang and without hesitation swung it toward them!
'Rip!'
Cross Sword sliced effortlessly through the Leather Armor of the man in front, taking a piece of flesh with it!
"What!?"
The middle-aged man, caught off guard by the seemingly fragile girl's swift and decisive swordplay, quickly retreated while skillfully deflecting the Cross Sword with his dagger.
As the slashing attack was parried, Freya shifted her footing, her agile wrist twisting to leverage the force of the deflection, bringing the Cross Sword down in a sudden strike.
'Swish!'
A silver flash cut through the air with a faint sound, and a hand fell to the ground.
Due to the incredible speed, the severed wrist twitched involuntarily for a moment.
'Stiletto... second strike combo.'
"Damn it!"
The pain from his severed wrist caused the man's Face to pale slightly as he quickly exited the room.
Behind him, another person looked on in shock at the girl before them.
Freya gave her wrist a light shake, causing a drop of red liquid to fall from the Cross Sword onto the ground, the cold Blade reflecting a faint glimmer.
"What kind of people are you?"
She asked expressionlessly.
Breaking into a private room, if it were Byron, killing them on the spot would be no problem.
But this is Rudin; even killing in self-defense would get her taken in by the city guard for a while. To avoid unnecessary trouble, she held back.
Moreover, judging by that person's skilled grappling techniques, Freya could tell he was clearly a master as well. He just didn't expect her Piercing Sword Technique and carelessly lost a hand.
Not answering Freya's question, the one with the severed wrist turned pale and exchanged a glance with the person behind him.
"What should we do about what the young master instructed?"
"It's just a coincidence!"
"Damn it! Do it!"
In their brief conversation, the two seemed to reach some sort of agreement.
A surge of powerful energy erupted suddenly as their discussion ended, charging directly toward Freya!
"Knight Level!?"
Seeing the two people rushing in at high speed, Freya's gaze tightened slightly as she quickly retreated and dodged in the small room.
Cross Sword continuously swung to block the daggers that were aimed at him.
The items in the room became shattered amidst the three-way battle.
Taking advantage of the moment, Freya threw a pillow from the bed, obstructing one of the attackers' strikes, while Cross Sword deflected a nearby dagger.
Although it seemed that Freya was at a disadvantage in the fight, the two middle-aged attackers grew increasingly alarmed as they continued to engage.
They realized that despite their overwhelming presence, they could only force the girl in front of them into a defensive stance, and she appeared to handle it with ease.
In this state, Freya sidestepped a dagger attack and then kicked out through the opening created by the dagger.
Bang!
By sheer coincidence, she kicked right at the spot where one of the attackers had just broken his wrist.
"Hiss..."
The intense pain caused him to gasp sharply, his face paling further as he quickly chose to retreat.
Facing only one opponent now, Freya and Cross Sword transformed their defensive stance into an offensive one, easily forcing the other attacker back.
“Knight Level mid-level... Who sent you here? What is your intention?”
Freya stood in the center of the room, her gaze carrying a hint of coldness.
A dangerous aura emanated from her, enveloping the two like a tangible presence.
The strength of Knight's Pinnacle made them feel as if they were facing a seemingly fragile girl who exuded the illusion of confronting a tiger or lion.
Although the two had exchanged only a few simple words, it was clear from their implications that they were intentionally targeting her.
Moreover, the power behind them that could command two mid-level knights was immense.
This surprised Freya, as she had been keeping a low profile since arriving at Dragon Harbor. Aside from her studies, she had no friends in her social life.
Unless... it was related to the quota for Rudin Imperial Academy.
‘Who could it be?’
A few names of newcomers with good grades and significant power flashed through her mind, but after considering them, none seemed likely.
Meanwhile, the two who had been forced back looked at the girl with shock in their eyes.
In the moment Freya was pondering, they unexpectedly turned and ran in unison.
The lingering aura was even more ferocious than the previous attack.
Seeing the two choose to flee, Freya's expression darkened, and a hint of killing intent overflowed from her eyes.
"Trying to run?"
A subtle breeze swirled around Freya, producing a faint sound.
She stepped forward, her figure instantly becoming blurred as a circle of white energy slowly dissipated in the room.
Since someone intended to harm her, she would not let these two go until she understood the situation.
The two fleeing heard an unusual sound behind them and turned to see Freya's extremely grim and beautiful face.
"Knight's Pinnacle!!!"
The middle-aged man with the severed arm exclaimed in fear, and the surging energy accelerated once more, a glint of ruthlessness flashing in his eyes.
With a swift motion, he drew the dagger in his hand and thrust it toward the person in front of him.
The pain in his back made the man turn his head, revealing a look of disbelief on his face, before he was thrown towards Freya.
Freya, who was in pursuit, was momentarily taken aback by the sudden betrayal of the man, and then she saw the figure flying towards her.
Bang!
A loud crash echoed, mixed with thick clouds of dust.
Freya squinted her eyes at the rapidly fleeing figure, frowning slightly.
The man at her feet remained wide-eyed in disbelief until his death.
"Who is there!"
The sound of the three-person chase seemed to have alerted the academy's guards, and a low shout came from a distance.
Without a moment to think, Freya kicked over the man's corpse, pulled out the dagger left behind, and quickly vanished into the darkness.
