The sudden inquiry startled Freya, and she turned her head sharply, only to discover an old man with dark yellow skin, covered in age spots and wrinkles, standing behind her.
Strangely, she hadn't noticed him at all, as if he had appeared out of thin air.
"Uh... it's nothing... I was just browsing," she stammered. This was the first time she had encountered such a bizarre situation, causing her usually suppressed aura to almost slip away in fear.
"Oh, then feel free to look around. I'm the librarian. If you need anything, just come to me," the old man said, seemingly oblivious to her emotions, and walked inside without another word.
Freya watched the old man's unsteady back with a slight frown. Despite her peak Knight Level strength, she hadn't sensed his presence at all. However, upon closer inspection, there was nothing unusual about him; he appeared to be an ordinary person.
After a long moment, she shook her head lightly and gently rubbed her somewhat fatigued temples.
'It might just be an illusion caused by suppressing my aura for too long,' she thought.
The aftereffects of her condition had already begun to affect her life, and it seemed to be gradually eroding her energy as well.
Raising her head, she looked at the vast library and walked over to the nearest bookshelf, narrowing her eyes slightly.
'I hope to find a solution soon.'
After some time.
Freya furrowed her brows as she returned a book about body maintenance to the shelf.
Her current thinking and intelligence had reached a level of photographic memory, and her reading speed was astonishingly fast.
If others saw her reading, they might think she was merely flipping through pages casually.
However, even so, facing this vast sea of books left her with a sense of helplessness.
The library has a vast collection of books. Although she is searching with a clear purpose, the scope is still too broad.
"It seems I need to plan for the long term," she said softly, easing her somewhat stiff body as she murmured to herself.
Even though it is a long-term plan, spending time in the library not only allows her to search for clues but also enriches her knowledge base, which is still quite beneficial for Freya.
Two hours later.
In a bright classroom.
"What you need to pay attention to is that the pronunciation of 'Angmar' is quite similar to that of vegetables, so be careful not to confuse them. Alright, today is your first exposure to Angmaric. Review it on your own, and if you have any questions, ask in the next class."
As the words fell, a middle-aged man in a White Robe with a serious expression collected the textbooks from the desk and walked out of the classroom.
Freya, sitting in the middle, also closed her book lightly, revealing a thoughtful expression in her eyes.
This world has many languages, even more than those on Earth. Although learning them isn't too difficult given her current intelligence, it isn't exactly easy either.
Fortunately, the teachers here are quite responsible; as long as she listens once, she can grasp most of what is taught, though she needs to pay attention to some special aspects.
Language and history classes are taught together for convenience. While Freya adapts quickly to this teaching method, others can be seen from their expressions still in a state of ignorance.
Shaking her head slightly, she got up from her seat. The number of students studying language and history is still considerable. She glanced around at the groups of students chatting casually before walking out of the classroom with an expressionless face.
Although she doesn't mind making friends, perhaps due to her increasingly cold demeanor caused by suppressing her aura since arriving at school, no one has approached her for conversation, leaving her without any friends so far.
However, Freya doesn't mind this; she has many things to do and sees no need to get entangled with strangers.
The curriculum at Dragon Academy consists of morning classes and an afternoon break, allowing for a relaxed schedule.
After finishing language and history classes, the next subject is swordsmanship.
She feels a bit curious about what kind of swordsmanship Dragon Academy can teach.
The ten-minute break quickly passes.
She arrives in a spacious room along with the other students learning swordsmanship.
The wooden floor is polished to a shine, and rows of brown sword racks are set up. At the back of the room, there is a row of logs used for practice, marked with deep sword scars that suggest they have been used for quite some time.
Most of the students learning swordsmanship are boys; there are only three or four girls, including her. Compared to Freya, the other girls appear rather stocky, and their muscles seem even stronger than some of the thinner boys.
As a result, the obviously handsome yet cold-tempered Freya becomes the center of attention among the surrounding students, which makes her frown slightly and feel a bit restless inside.
At that moment, a man dressed in a white swordsman's outfit, with a wooden longsword hanging at his waist and a robust physique, walks in.
Seeing the buzzing students, he furrows his brow slightly.
"If you don't want to be punished first, now! Be quiet!" His voice booms like a lion's roar.
This leaves the students momentarily stunned.
Satisfied with the effect he has created, the man nods and scans the crowd.
"I am Laika, and from now on, I will be your swordsmanship teacher! I have a bit of a temper; if I catch anyone slacking off in my class or failing assessments, think about the consequences yourself!"
A speech without any particularly new insights echoed in the room. Nevertheless, everyone listened attentively, while Freya looked at the man in front of her with curiosity.
From her perspective, the instructor named Laika was at the level of Knight's Pinnacle. Judging by his physique and stride, he seemed to follow a conventional approach, but she was unsure about his practical combat abilities.
Compared to Knight Level, aside from meeting the physical standards, lacking corresponding strength would render one merely a decorative figure, which was meaningless.
“…Now, those who have previously studied swordsmanship, step forward!”
After the speech concluded, Laika had a sword stand placed in front of everyone, presumably to test the abilities of each student.
Soon after he finished speaking, about ten students, including Freya, stepped forward.
These students who had learned swordsmanship clearly had better physiques than the others. Surprisingly, aside from Freya, another girl also stepped forward. However, compared to Freya, if not for her attire, one might mistake her for a man.
Laika frowned slightly as he scanned the students who had stepped forward. His gaze paused between the two girls before finally settling on the comparatively slender Freya. He asked loudly,
“What is your name? Are you sure you have studied swordsmanship?”
