A clear voice echoed in everyone's hearts. Freya's expression changed slightly; she had initially suspected that Philip might be a co-conspirator with Berta, but she never expected it to happen so quickly.
Moreover, from what Philip said, this betrayal seemed to involve not just a few individuals, but possibly other high-ranking officials of the empire.
"Well? Have you all made up your minds? Are you going to follow me?"
Ignoring the thoughts of others, Philip spoke softly to the two leaning against the wall.
"I..."
The Guard Member beside Damsdin was clearly swayed by Philip but had yet to make a firm decision, his eyes revealing a struggle.
Suddenly, a faint sound was heard as a dagger pierced through the back of the Guard Member's heart, blood splattering onto Damsdin's face behind him.
"Traitors must die!"
With an expression of disbelief, the Guard Member stared blankly at the fierce man behind him until his last breath, the Cross Sword in his hand falling to the ground.
"Huh?" Not expecting things to unfold this way, Philip was momentarily stunned, then he clapped his hands and said, "Good, I like your toughness. Well then, you can go die!"
His longsword swung out swiftly.
Even a non-Agility Knight Level's speed was beyond what a Squire could resist.
"Sis, run!!!"
Looking at the long sword that was swung down, Damsdin leaned against the wall and let out a loud shout, spitting out another mouthful of blood. His muscles instantly swelled as he raised the giant sword in his hand, trying to block this strongest strike.
But he also Understand that perhaps this was his final moment.
‘Clang!!!!’
The sound of metal clashing exploded in his ears.
Damsdin widened his eyes, staring at the long sword that was just a hair's breadth away from him, now surprisingly blocked.
Beside him, the girl who had been quietly standing in place had somehow moved in front of him. Her frail body unleashed such fierce power.
A faint fragrance from the girl reached Damsdin's nostrils, making him Understand that everything was so real.
“Hmm?” Philip looked at the girl who had taken his strike head-on but was now flushed, questioning her.
“You... could it be that you are also Knight Level?”
Philip Understand the force behind his strike; an ordinary soldier could never withstand it. Yet the girl before him managed to take it, which made it easy to guess Freya's strength. However, according to Baron, she was not even fifteen years old...
“Terrifying potential!” Philip frowned slightly, not giving Freya a chance to respond. He suddenly retracted his long sword and delivered a horizontal slash.
‘Swish!’
Bright sparks flew as the long sword easily sliced through the hard stone tiles.
Seeing Philip's strike coming, Freya had already dragged the injured Damsdin backward and leaped away.
Although her strength was not on par with Philip, her Agility far surpassed his.
Gently placing the silent Damsdin on the ground, Freya straightened up and focused her gaze on the approaching Philip.
"Count Philip, if you want the Green Family to perish, then you must also bear the consequences!" The girl's clear voice carried a strong sense of incongruity.
Yet Philip knew that the girl before him, not yet fifteen years old, had every right to say such a thing. He suddenly grinned and said, "Heh heh, Freya, I originally intended to kill you just for fun; in fact, I wanted to hand you over to that useless person behind me. But now I have no choice but to kill you here. You know how much of a threat a woman who can become a knight before turning fifteen poses to me!"
As he spoke, Philip lunged at her.
His previously well-proportioned body suddenly swelled slightly, with streams of air swirling around him, indicating that he had activated his own aura, increasing his speed.
'Swish'
The sound of the longsword slicing through the air.
With brute force, the longsword embedded itself halfway into the wall, and the flying debris struck Freya, who had already dodged the attack.
A sharp pain shot through her back as Freya jumped and spun in mid-air to thrust her weapon.
"!" Philip's expression turned cold as he quickly drew his longsword to block.
Freya, having missed her strike, swiftly retreated. The swirling aura around her enhanced her already swift movements even further.
Philip, nearly hit by her attack, wiped the smile off his face and began to take things seriously.
He was a knight type with balanced development, but the girl before him was purely agility-focused; he simply couldn't keep up with her speed. If Freya wanted to escape, he had no way to stop her.
Glancing sideways at Damsdin lying motionless on the ground, Philip suddenly changed direction and thrust his longsword forward with a swift motion.
Freya, who had been watching Philip's movements, suddenly lunged forward with her Cross Sword.
Clang!
The blades collided.
Philip had not exerted much force, but seeing Freya easily block his strike made him grin.
"Got you!"
His empty left hand swung out with a powerful punch.
Boom!
Even though Philip had blocked the vital area with his hand when he punched, his immense strength sent Freya flying backward.
Pfft...
A mouthful of fresh blood spilled from Freya's lips as she clutched her abdomen, where a sharp pain surged. Fortunately, no internal injuries were sustained; the blood was merely a result of the impact, and she would be fine after spitting it out.
"Women are ultimately women! That's why you didn't run away, right?" Philip remarked, looking at the girl he had knocked away. He pointed his sword at Damsdin, instantly leaving a Long Scar across him.
Freya frowned slightly, lowering her hand from her abdomen. Suddenly, she moved toward Olyssis, who had been standing by and seemingly ignored.
"You!!" Philip was taken aback by Freya's sudden change in direction. His expression shifted slightly before he disregarded his earlier threats and quickly chased after her.
Olyssis, who had been almost completely overlooked, saw the girl rushing toward him and his face changed dramatically. The longsword in his hand had already been taken by Philip, leaving him unarmed against a Knight Level girl.
Without thinking twice, he turned to run. However, after just two steps, he felt his body lighten abruptly; Freya, who was slightly shorter than him, had grabbed him and held him up, with her Cross Sword pressed against his neck.
Freya's speed was incredibly fast. Before Philip could catch up, she turned and disappeared around the corner of the hallway.
"Damn it!" Philip growled as he watched the two vanish, his speed increasing even more.
Even though Olyssis was a useless person, to Philip, he represented a promise to Berta.
Bang!
Just as he rounded the corner, a dark figure suddenly threw something at Philip, aiming directly for him.
Recognizing the familiar armor, Philip did not dodge but reached out to catch it.
The impact was not heavy, and he easily caught it, but the warm sensation in his hand made him feel uneasy.
"Hmm?" Philip looked down at the person in his hand, a chill instantly spreading across his face as he realized that Olyssis was headless.
Freya held a sword in one hand and Olyssis's head in the other, her azure eyes fixed on Philip, glinting with a cold light.
