So she had to reach the Green Territory before dark. 0

The forest was rugged, and despite the hacking of the Cross Sword, their pace was still not very fast. 0

Although Eli was pulled along and had survived a disaster, at fourteen, she was at an age of curiosity. The fear from earlier had already diminished in such a short time. After all, she had been hidden by Freya from the beginning and had fainted due to psychological pressure, completely unaware of the soldiers and corpses that had chased them. 0

What she understood was that her usually lively sister had actually saved her and was calmly pulling her along to continue their escape. This feeling was quite strange for Eli; she even doubted that the Freya in front of her was someone else—someone with the same face as Freya but much stronger and colder. 0

Of course, this doubt stemmed only from her unfamiliarity with her sister's sudden display of strength. 0

"Perhaps my sister has always been strong; she just doesn't show it usually," Eli thought as she looked at Freya, who was pulling her along. She noticed the dirt on Freya's back from the wet mud and felt the warmth of their hands together. Gradually, her initially anxious heart began to settle down. 0

Unlike Eli, who had various thoughts, Freya kept moving without pause while also paying attention to their surroundings. 0

During this time, she had already discovered several dark, disgusting objects in the grass—animal feces, and there were quite a few of them. 0

"It seems to be from a carnivorous animal, and it's still fresh," Freya said with a slight frown as she tightened her grip on her sword. "I hope it's not something difficult to deal with." 0

She wasn't omnipotent; she could only gather some basic information through clues. Herbivores typically have granular feces due to their unique digestive functions, but what she saw was something different. 0

The beasts in this world were far more terrifying than those on Earth. In Green Castle, there was a black Bear Pelt about three meters tall stored in the baron's storeroom; it was one of Baron’s proudest trophies. 0

Listen—at that time, to completely kill this black bear, Baron and Howard Bailey needed one person as bait while the other struck it down. As a result, Howard Bailey suffered a severe injury to one arm that left him with irreversible consequences. 0

The terror of two Knight-Level Experts was certainly not as simple as one plus one, yet a black bear could force two Knight Level fighters into such a situation before dying; this showed its power. 0

However, based on the clues Freya had gathered, she could tentatively guess that these creatures were not beasts of Knight Level like black bears but rather some pack-hunting carnivores... like wolves! 0

The sharp blade easily cut through a branch blocking their path as Freya and Eli emerged from a thicket taller than themselves. 0

The skirts of the two were already tattered. Freya was relatively fine, but Eli, an ordinary person, looked much worse. Some parts of her thighs and body were almost exposed, scratched by branches or tough weeds. 0

Despite this, Eli showed no signs of complaint. Freya, who was in a similar situation, had no reason to complain either, especially since Eli was just an ordinary maid. 0

Freya, who had been running, suddenly stopped, nearly causing Eli to trip over. 0

"Shh..." Freya lowered her voice intentionally and signaled Eli to be quiet. She crouched down and gently touched the soil beneath her, feeling the disordered and subtle traces gradually becoming clearer under her touch. 0

"Footprints... they haven't been covered yet..." Freya's expression changed slightly as she looked up towards the distant weeds. Although faint, she caught a hint of an unusual sound coming from there. 0

Without hesitation, she led Eli to change their direction and run sideways, intending to bypass the group of creatures to avoid unnecessary trouble. 0

Their feet crunched on the thick layer of fallen leaves as they carefully avoided anything that could make noise. Although it was a detour, they knew that the hearing and sense of smell of beasts far surpassed that of humans, so they could only minimize their chances of being discovered. 0

As they approached the weeds hiding unknown creatures, Freya took the opportunity to look over. Her keen eyesight allowed her to see what was lurking there. 0

It was a pack of Gray Wolves, each as large as a cow, numbering more than ten. They resembled the Gray Wolves she remembered but were much larger. Their claws were exceptionally huge and gleamed like metal, clearly not for decoration. 0

At that moment, the giant wolves were gathered together tearing into something, making grunting sounds as they fed. The fresh scent of blood filled the air. 0

Perhaps because they were busy eating and didn't want any interruptions, only one or two alert wolves lifted their heads to glance in Freya and Eli's direction before ignoring them again. 0

The two managed to slip away unnoticed. Once they were past the feeding giants, their pace quickened again. 0

Next, it seemed like Lady Luck was smiling upon them; Freya and Eli encountered no further unexpected events and finally arrived at the Iron Mine Area in Green Territory as dusk began to settle. 0

Freya emerged from the forest carrying Eli on her back while holding a Cross Sword. The once sharp blade had become jagged and chipped due to repeated use. 0

After running through the forest all afternoon, although Freya's physical condition still held up, Eli had long since exhausted herself and had been carried for most of the journey. 0

"What kind of people are you!" 0

Seeing the two disheveled individuals suddenly emerge from the forest, one of whom was holding a Cross Sword, a soldier on duty shouted warily. 0

The soldier in front was wearing Half Armor adorned with the Green Family Crest, which made Freya, who had been tense all along, completely relax. 0

Gently setting down Eli from her back, Freya wiped the dirt off her face to reveal a better appearance. 0

"I am Freya. Freya Green! You need to call Howard Bailey right away!" 0

Most of the soldiers in Green Territory had seen Freya before, and upon recognizing her, the soldier immediately turned around without hesitation to summon help. 0

Soon, Howard Bailey, dressed in battle gear and riding a Black Warhorse, along with several seemingly formidable cavalrymen, appeared in her line of sight. 0

Seeing Freya sitting on the ground, panting heavily, Howard Bailey quickly dismounted and strode over to help her up. 0

"Freya, what happened? How did you end up here? Wasn't Andrei supposed to send you to Kent City this morning?" 0
