The fireball resembled a sun, and its heat could be felt from a distance.
Azure Vine feigned calmness and was already on high alert, yet still said to Lingfeng, "There's no need to be nervous. Now that you possess both Spiritual Energy and Demonic Energy within you, try to use both energies simultaneously to control that fireball!"
Lingfeng's forehead had begun to bead with sweat as he nervously watched the approaching fireball and nodded.

As for using both powers simultaneously, Lingfeng was unsure of the outcome and lacked confidence in his ability to control them.
"Lingfeng, you're still a hundred meters away!" Azure Vine reminded him from the side.
Since reaching the Xuan Zhao Period, Lingfeng's Fire Control Technique could be executed from fifty meters away from the target.
The fireball was incredibly fast; in the blink of an eye, Lingfeng felt it was already about fifty meters away from him.
"Lingfeng..." Azure Vine suddenly shouted his name.
Lingfeng knew it was time to act. He formed fists with his hands, gathering a large amount of Spiritual Energy in his right hand and a small amount of Demonic Energy in his left. With a roar, he transformed his hands into palms and suddenly pushed toward the fireball.
The fireball had now appeared before Lingfeng and Azure Vine, waves of heat scorching them both.
"Ha!"
Just as Azure Vine was about to cast a protective barrier, Lingfeng suddenly shouted loudly. The fireball seemed to be stunned by his shout, coming to a halt in mid-air as its intense heat gradually dissipated.
Azure Vine was overjoyed, watching Lingfeng's flushed face, wishing he could rush over and give him a hearty kiss.
"Take this!"
Having gained control over the fireball emitted by Tao Tie, Lingfeng began to counterattack. Although he could catch the fireball in his hands, he did not have enough strength to manipulate it fully. He split the massive fireball apart; one part was hurled back toward the spot where it had originated, while the other portion transformed into Blazing Bombs that rained down toward the ground.
Azure Vine looked at the ground and couldn't help but show an envious expression. Although Azure Vine was part of the Demon Suppression Sect, he was also affiliated with the Main Hall. Typically in the Demon Suppression Sect, only those with superior qualifications would be assigned to the Main Hall, while those with talent for cultivating Five Elemental Spells would be placed in one of the Five Peaks. Therefore, being in the Main Hall did not necessarily mean one would possess Five Elemental Spells.

Each Blazing Bomb resembled a cannonball, unleashing tremendous power that blasted apart the ground with deafening explosions.
Lingfeng nervously looked at the ground, unsure of what this ancient beast would do.
Just as curiosity struck, a swirling pattern suddenly appeared amidst the flames on the ground, continuously rotating until it gradually formed an open space, and in the center of that space stood the ancient beast, Tao Tie.
Amidst the roaring flames, the ancient beast stood tall, its fierce face vividly expressing its anger. Although Azure Vine had seen much in its time, this scene still left it astonished.
"Is this Tao Tie?" Lingfeng stared blankly at the furious beast on the ground. For some reason, Lingfeng felt an inexplicable sensation towards this creature. It was a familiar feeling that made Lingfeng reluctant to take action against it.
However, Tao Tie did not care about that; Lingfeng's hesitation ignited its battle instincts. Its ancient pride refused to bow to any enemy.
"Lingfeng, what's wrong with you?" Azure Vine asked in confusion as it noticed Lingfeng staring at Tao Tie in a daze.

Lingfeng did not continue because he couldn't find the words to describe this sensation.

Azure Vine grew anxious; in this state, Lingfeng would surely be unable to fight Tao Tie.
It seemed that Tao Tie had grown impatient. With a roar, flames erupted around it, as if wanting to turn the entire area into ashes.

Not far away, the sound of a dove cooing could be heard. Azure Vine's furrowed brow suddenly relaxed as it joyfully looked toward the source of the sound. It turned out that State Government had tamed a brave dove that was majestically flying in this direction.
However, the massive form of the White Phoenix Messenger also caught Tao Tie's attention. Its fierce head lifted high into the air, emitting cries reminiscent of a baby. Before State Government and Azure Vine could react, Tao Tie leaped into the flames and soared toward them.
The White Phoenix Messenger, which had already been tamed by State Government, was caught off guard by Tao Tie's sudden approach. It let out a helpless cry and vanished with a swoosh. Meanwhile, State Government had already floated into its previous position.
The State Government floated in the air, holding a soft sword, with a serious expression that gave off a divine aura.
Lingfeng still wore that same expression, his eyes having lost their luster. Although his breath remained, he seemed like a walking corpse.
Azure Vine anxiously supported Lingfeng while nervously watching the State Government.

Tao Tie's claws were indeed like those of a tiger—thick and sharp.

Azure Vine responded and flew back to the State Government with Lingfeng on his sword.
Watching Azure Vine and Lingfeng leave, the State Government finally unleashed his power. The soft sword in his hand transformed into a streak of azure light and vanished from his grasp. His entire body seemed to be enveloped in steam, continuously emitting white Spiritual Energy.
Tao Tie seemed to realize it had encountered an opponent and let out an excited roar. Lightning erupted from its two giant fangs and struck towards the State Government.
The State Government did not evade; he appeared confident in facing this attack. He raised both hands in a gesture of worship, and immediately, the surrounding Spiritual Energy transformed into a hard white membrane that blocked Tao Tie's lightning.
"Ha ha, let me show you what it means to use strength against strength!" The State Government revealed a mocking smile. As the Membrane dissipated, the lightning seemed to be toyed with by the State Government, molded like dough into an electric ball.
"Here it comes!" The State Government placed the electric ball in his right palm and shouted as he hurled it towards Tao Tie.
Just as Tao Tie was about to dodge, the electric ball flew through the air and suddenly exploded, sending forth tendrils of lightning like demonic claws rushing towards Tao Tie.
Tao Tie nervously watched the attack in front of it, seemingly out of options for a counterattack. However, it still kicked the air forcefully with its hooves, and then flames erupted from its nostrils and mouth as it charged towards the lightning.
“Wow!” State Government gasped, thinking that this Tao Tie was indeed a proud beast. Even when faced with an attack, it refused to be passive.
Then, a series of crackling sounds filled the air as Tao Tie was surrounded by lightning, its body beginning to tremble. Yet, it stubbornly continued to use its horns to push against the onslaught.
“Let me give you another gift!” Although State Government admired Tao Tie's courage, it was still a fierce beast. If it didn’t take the opportunity to eliminate it now, dealing with the Mandala Demon Realm in the future would likely be even more difficult. With that thought, State Government’s sword reappeared, aiming for Tao Tie's neck.
However, at that moment, all the lightning surrounding Tao Tie was gradually absorbed by it, as if it were drinking water effortlessly.
“Oh no, I've fallen into a trap!” State Government silently lamented while observing the situation.
In reality, Tao Tie was not afraid of electric shocks; its earlier display was merely to lower State Government's guard. At this moment, with the sword in hand and focused solely on killing Tao Tie, State Government had exposed too many vulnerabilities, playing right into Tao Tie's hands.
Sure enough, Tao Tie grinned with a sinister expression. Before State Government could retract its stance, Tao Tie opened its mouth wide and unleashed a torrent of flames.
Despite State Government's agility, this sudden turn of events occurred in an instant, leaving no time to prepare for escape.
“I never imagined my lifelong cultivation would end like this. However, since I die for the people, I suppose it's a worthy death!” With no way to evade, State Government despairingly closed its eyes and awaited the flames.
