"Hehe~ What I meant is that he, he's limping! No, it's not easy for him to travel." Yu Mo stammered in explanation.
Ah~ What was I just saying! Upon careful thought, this excuse is really lame. I hope this Hell's Messenger won't feel like bringing him along is a waste of time and leave him here.
Yu Mo looked embarrassed as she picked at her fingers, letting out a sigh. She was about to speak up to salvage the situation, but Hell's Messenger beat her to it.
"It's simple!" he said casually.
Hell's Messenger then walked up to lingering soul, grabbed his leg, and gave it a strong twist. Lingering soul gritted his teeth as a bead of sweat rolled down his cheek.
"It's okay! Hurry up and go." Hell's Messenger said indifferently as he turned around.
lingering soul got up and walked away as if nothing had happened.
"It's really better now!" Yu Mo looked admiringly at lingering soul's legs.
"What are you looking at? Hurry up and leave, or we won't be able to leave once it gets dark!" the lingering soul urged.
The Yu Mo hurried to catch up and whispered, "Wait! You haven't given me the antidote yet!"
"No antidote!" lingering soul said coldly.
"What!" Yu Mo exclaimed unconsciously, frowning.
She cautiously looked up at the person in front, fortunately Hell's Messenger hadn't noticed.
"What do you mean there's no antidote! You're not keeping your word, are you?" Yu Mo glared fiercely at Lingering Soul.
"You're not poisoned, so of course there's no antidote!" Lingering Soul grinned.
"Then why does my chest hurt?" Yu Mo whispered.
"You suffered a severe impact, so of course your chest hurts. I just wanted to remind you to feel the pain more vividly," Lingering Soul said, then quickly walked towards Hell's Messenger.
How dare he lie to me! Yu Mo was furious, glaring at Lingering Soul's back. At that moment, she wished she could stab him with a big knife a thousand times!
The sky gradually darkened, and Hell's Messenger suddenly flashed in front of Yu Mo.
"You better hurry, or else if you get caught by evil spirits later, I won't save you," Hell's Messenger said coldly.
"What are evil spirits?" Yu Mo looked puzzled.
Hell's Messenger didn't want to hear her nonsense at all. He turned and walked away quickly, disappearing like the wind.
"Out of the blue," Yu Mo muttered quietly, but still quickened his pace to catch up with them.
"Hey, Lingering Soul! What is an evil spirit?" Yu Mo asked in a low voice.
"Evil spirit? It loves to feast on tender souls like yours," Lingering Soul chuckled.
"You're crazy!" Yu Mo rolled his eyes at him, then quickly followed behind Hell's Messenger.
"Ah! Why is there not a single normal person here?" Yu Mo sighed lightly.
"Am I crazy?" lingering soul muttered to himself, looking incredulous.
The sky was dimly lit, and one could faintly see a small hill with lights on it, indicating a small wooden house.
"This desolate place actually has people living in it. The world is truly vast, with all sorts of wonders," Yu Mo couldn't help but exclaim.
"Ignorant!" Hell's Messenger squeezed out a few words from between his teeth.
Yu Mo turned to look at Hell's Messenger, thinking to himself, "This guy is really crazy! He's the ignorant one, not me. I wasn't even talking to him. Some people really have mouths but would be better off keeping them shut!"
At that moment, a hand suddenly grabbed Yu Mo's ankle.
This familiar feeling! Yu Mo impatiently said, "Are you done yet, you lingering soul? What do you want now?"
lingering soul looking at the Yu Mo on the ground, feeling both angry and amused, "It's nothing, just letting the demon come to eat you."
After saying that, he walked to the side of Yu Mo, patted Yu Mo's shoulder and laughed, "I'm leaving first, good luck to you, hahaha~"
Yu Mo Unbelievably, I watched the lingering soul's back, then suddenly looked down at the "claw" on my foot.
It was a terrifying skeleton hand, with some remaining flesh and long-dried bloodstains on it.
"Ah~" Yu Mo was so scared that she screamed, subconsciously stomping on skeleton hand with her other foot, while continuously shouting for help!
lingering soul watched Yu Mo jumping around and found it amusing, staring at her with a sense of humor. Isn't she like a monkey? It's a pity there are no trees here, otherwise she would have jumped onto a tree!
