"The Falling Leaf Technique!" Lingfeng's heart raced, almost shouting it out. He then heard Monkey Head say, "The Falling Leaf Technique is known as the supreme martial art, and this 'supreme' title is not just for show."
Last time, Azure Vine had only given Lingfeng a brief introduction to the Falling Leaf Technique book. He still didn't know the true secrets of the technique, so he listened patiently.

Perhaps the original creator of this manual simply wanted to prevent others from practicing it.

Azure Vine stood by lazily listening and let Monkey Head explain matters regarding this manual to Lingfeng. He thought that since Lingfeng would never have a chance to see this book anyway, there was no need to worry about him cultivating it.
"Yes," Monkey Head continued, "and he is a master from our sect; however, this master has learned transformation techniques and is unpredictable. Aside from his master, probably no one has seen his true face."
"That's it," Lingfeng thought. Lame Li was skilled in disguise techniques. Although he had appeared as a master from the academy and many disciples had already seen him, most of Lame Li's face was the result of his disguise. "But what about that book? Why is it missing? Azure Vine's face lit up with surprise as he patted Monkey Head's head and said to Lingfeng, "This is why I won't teach you the Intoxicated Fist. You are still young and do not understand how to utilize your soul; you can only learn some physical techniques." The implication was clear: Lingfeng did not know how to achieve a state where the wine does not intoxicate the soul but rather allows it to become intoxicated.
Although Lingfeng was mentally far ahead of his peers, he was still a child and could not cultivate certain techniques that required mental maturity. Monkey Head was three years older than Lingfeng; while not significantly older, his maturity surpassed that of Lingfeng.
