Shen Mo walked up to me, ignoring the surprised gazes of those around and Zhao Siqi's unpleasant expression. With a gentle smile on his lips, he leaned down to look at Little Bean and kindly asked, "Hello, little friend, what’s your name?"
Little Bean looked up at me and then at the unfamiliar uncle in front of him. Shyly, he hid in Lin Qingqian's arms and said in a soft voice, "My name is Lin Mu Mo, but my nickname is Dou Ding. But my mom always calls me baby."
"Hello, baby," Shen Mo's smile deepened as he reached out to pat Little Bean's head.
However, Little Bean buried his head deeper into my embrace, refusing to come out.
Shen Mo was not annoyed; he withdrew his hand and turned his gaze toward the pale-faced Zhao Siqi, his tone returning to its icy demeanor. He didn't even glance at Zhao Siqi and impatiently asked, "What’s wrong?"
Zhao Siqi stared in disbelief at the scene before her. Shen Mo? She initially thought it was just a coincidence of having the same name, but it turned out to be him! Although she had never seen Shen Mo from Yao Hua Group, she often encountered his secretary at her father's company.
She never expected that after ten years apart, the poor guy who had been dumped by Lin Qingqian would now transform into the president of Yao Hua Group! But why was he being so affectionate towards Lin Qingqian's child?
"Shen Mo, you... what is this?" Zhao Siqi's voice trembled slightly as she tried to maintain her composure.
"Oh, it's nothing," Shen Mo replied casually, shifting his gaze away. "I just saw an old classmate's child and came over to say hello."
As he spoke, he turned his attention back to me and Little Bean, gently pulling away Little Bean's hand that was tightly gripping my clothing. "Don't be afraid, little treasure; Uncle is not a bad person."
Only then did Little Bean lift his head and timidly glance at Shen Mo before quickly hiding back in my arms.
"He is my son," I said calmly, suppressing the bitterness in my heart.
In my sophomore year, I went to a bar with classmates to drink away my sorrows and unexpectedly ran into Shen Mo. At that time, he was drinking with a group of friends but ended up alone at the table, downing drink after drink.
I stood in a dimly lit corner, watching him intently. Seeing that he was heavily intoxicated, I couldn't bear to leave him in such a dangerous place. After saying goodbye to my classmates, I returned to the bar to find him and helped him get settled in a hotel.
Unexpectedly, he held onto me tightly and wouldn't let me go. Later... later came Little Bean.

Shen Mo's response left Zhao Siqi even more shocked. She could no longer maintain her composure and shouted, "Shen Mo, what do you mean? Could it be... could this child be yours?"
"That's right, Little Bean is my child," Shen Mo admitted without hesitation.
The banquet hall erupted in an uproar, everyone staring in astonishment at Shen Mo, Lin Qingqian, and Little Bean, whispers filling the air.
Zhao Siqi felt dizzy and staggered back a few steps, shaking her head in disbelief. "Impossible... this can't be..."
Shen Mo ignored Zhao Siqi's outburst. He turned around, his gaze sweeping over the crowd with determination as he spoke loudly:
"Everyone, I think there may be some misunderstandings. Today, I would like to formally introduce someone."
"This is Lin Qingqian, my..." He paused for a moment, looking at me with tenderness. "My partner. This is our child, Lin Mu Mo."
"What?!"
Another wave of gasps erupted from the crowd as people whispered among themselves.
"Shen Mo, what are you talking about?!" Zhao Siqi finally snapped back to reality. She rushed in front of Shen Mo and shouted hysterically, "Do you even know what you're saying? You..."
"Zhao Siqi!"
Shen Mo suddenly raised his voice, a hint of undisguised disgust in his tone. "I'll say it again: this is between me and Qingqian; it has nothing to do with you!"
Zhao Siqi was taken aback by Shen Mo's tone. She stepped back and pointed at Lin Qingqian, her voice trembling as she said, "Shen Mo, have you forgotten? Ten years ago, she abandoned you..."
"Enough!" Shen Mo interrupted her sharply. His gaze was piercing as he looked at Zhao Siqi, his tone icy. "I don't want to discuss what happened ten years ago anymore. And regarding that matter back then, I will definitely demand an explanation from the the Zhao Family!"
