In ancient times, there was a wise sage who transcended the ages and was revered as a saint. Later generations compiled the scriptures left by this sage into a Taoist classic called the "Transcendental Sutra."
However, only the sage who created the "Transcendental Sutra" could wield it to its fullest extent. The "Transcendental Sutra" within the Eight Treasures Mystique does not refer to the text itself, but rather to the method of helping others and benefiting society.
This method cannot be learned; it can only be comprehended through personal insight.
When you understand the true essence of Resentment within the Sea of Blood, you will be able to create your own unique "Transcendental Sutra." Although the "Transcendental Sutra" is a classic of Taoism, it is also widely used in Buddhism.
The "Transcendental Sutra" exists in various forms. For example, the previous Jikong Living Buddha embodied his "Transcendental Sutra" in the saying, "Wine and meat pass through the intestines, but remain in the Buddha's heart." "Hell is not empty; I vow not to become a Buddha," refers to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. There is also Buddha's act of "cutting flesh to feed an eagle, sacrificing oneself to nourish a tiger," and Guanyin Bodhisattva's "manifestation of Sentient Beings," all of which are embodiments of the "Transcendental Sutra."
However, I never expected that my "Transcendental Sutra" would manifest in the form of a Sword Formation!
Resentment transformed into pure energy, taking the shape of a Flying Sword that surged upward.
Ghostly Blade Formation! Transforming Ghost Fangzi's Ghostly Trap into a Sword Formation to counter Ghost Fangzi—that was the only method I could think of.
As the first pure energy Flying Sword ascended into the air, a second and third followed, each pure energy Flying Sword bursting forth from the bodies of those Blood Demons and ghosts.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!" The sound of breaking air echoed as Flying Swords flew upward like rain flowing backward from the ground.
Although Ghost Fangzi had vanished from sight, he was certainly still here; after all, his goal had not yet been achieved. How could he possibly leave?
The countless Flying Swords pierced through Ghost Fangzi suspended in mid-air.
At this moment, the distinction of Ghostly Blade Formation from other Sword Formations became evident.
Ordinary Flying Swords could not hit Ghost Fangzi in a Severed Soul state, but Ghostly Blade Formation could. After all, Ghostly Blade Formation itself was formed from souls, so even against a Severed Soul, it could still be effective.
Ghost Fangzi Tragedy Pure Qi Sword After piercing through, it transformed directly into a pitch-black mist, which then began to turn white and rise.
The Severed Soul of Ghost Fangzi was also transformed into a Pure Qi Sword!
This is the power of the Ghostly Blade Formation!
When encountering evil, the sword rises in azure, circling once before returning to Reincarnation. This is my Transcendental Sutra, pointing the way with the sword, and then returning to Reincarnation.
However, the Ghostly Blade Formation is still just a prototype. I do not know how far this Sword Formation can develop; I only know that for me now, the next step is to strive to control the Ghostly Blade Formation.
Resentment transforms into pure energy, which then becomes a Flying Sword. However, the Flying Sword can only fly upwards and cannot be controlled by me. If I could control those Flying Swords, then the limits of my Transcendental Sutra would not be far away.
Even so, the prototype of the Ghostly Blade Formation was still able to transform one of Ghost Fangzi's Severed Souls.
“Recitation of the Ten Faults, Zhu Yao Chang, Ten Thousand Emperors offer their respects. Silent River and Sea, Mountain Hidden in Clouds. Sun and Moon Stand Still, The Celestial Gem Cannot Move. Demonic Binding, Ghostly Purification. Revive the Dead, White Bone Transformation. Scholar of Ultimate Learning, Recitation of the Ten Faults. Thus, Five Emperors' Guards, Three Realms Suppression, Demonic Essence Lost Eyes, Ghost Demon Extermination, Dying to Save, Obtain Life After Death. Therefore, Scholar, Pollution Has Not Cleared, Body Not Yet Enlightened, Summon the Ten Directions, Unestablished Authority, Deity of Earth, Binding Spirit, yet dead and cannot be reborn. Recite This Chapter Lightly, and one will suffer calamity. Offering Respectful Tribute, Portal Prosperity. Eternal Prosperity, with good causes and conditions. Disaster-Free, Divine Guardian. The sutra is profound and wonderful, unmatched in Jade Capital. Limitless salvation is for the origin of all paths, majestic Brahma, virtue difficult to surpass.”
A faint voice came from above the Nine Hells, indeed it was the Transcendental Sutra.
The azure flying sword soared towards the Ninefold Tower following that ethereal voice.
Where did this voice come from? I looked up in confusion; this is not my technique—how did it appear? But no matter what, as long as it works, that's good.
Although only a moment has passed in the book, that bastard author has dragged it out for so many chapters.
The Severed Soul of Ghost Fangzi was also transformed by my pure sword into a Flying Sword. However, unlike other pure energy flying swords that rose up, the flying sword transformed from Ghost Fangzi merely floated in mid-air.
“What’s going on?” I wondered as I looked at that pure energy flying sword that neither rose nor fell.
Before I could figure out a reason for it, an old man’s figure appeared beside the pure energy.
The old man had a kind face; although he looked quite aged, he was spirited and stood straight, with a glimmer of intelligence hidden in his eyes.
"I didn't expect that a ghost would scatter one of my Severed Soul," the old man said, hands behind his back.
Is this the true form of Ghost Fangzi? Or is this another Severed Soul of Ghost Fangzi?
"Ghost Fangzi, it has been a long time since we last met," a familiar voice came from behind me.
I turned around: "Senior Jiang?"
The person who appeared behind me was none other than the already blind Ginger Daoist, who had helped me several times before.
"I didn't expect that we would have another chance to meet in person," the voice of the true form of Ghost Fangzi was different from that of his Severed Soul, carrying a sense of calmness along with warmth and kindness.
Is this still the Ghost Fangzi I know? I felt that the previous image of Severed Soul was more fitting for the name Ghost Fangzi.
"I also didn't expect to have the opportunity to confront you again." Although Ginger Daoist could not see, he relied on other senses to determine the location of Ghost Fangzi.
"However, I have something else to take care of first. Once I resolve that, I will deal with you," Ghost Fangzi waved his hand, and a wave of Blood Qi rose from beneath Ginger Daoist, enveloping him.
Ghost Fangzi's target is me! With his true strength, as long as he can trap Ginger Daoist for a while, I will be at his mercy.
A thick layer of Evil Energy began to spread from the center of Ghost Fangzi, soon enveloping the entire interior of the Demon Coffin. It reached a point where I couldn't see my own hand in front of my face!
Since my debut until now, all the combined Evil Energy and Blood Qi I've encountered wouldn't even match one-tenth of what Ghost Fangzi released at once! The previous Ghost Fangzi's Severed Soul, compared to the true form of Ghost Fangzi, was nothing at all.
It should be like this:
One is a kite flying high in the ninth layer, while the other is a rat digging in the depths of the Eighteen Layers of Hell, unable to go any lower.
Looking at his kind appearance, he was actually an embodiment of Evil Energy.
This is the true Ghost Fangzi!
The First Great Benefactor! The First Great Villain!
Formed for good! Heart for evil!
"Buzz!!!" A golden light flashed from my Seed Bag.
An Ebony Hairpin emerged from my Seed Bag.
That was the treasure of the Ginger Daoist!
"Whoosh"
The Ebony Hairpin grew in size with the wind, and soon transformed into a dark golden wooden long whip.
Divine Whip!
Legend has it that in ancient times, there was a figure named Jiang Ziya, known as Jiang Taigong!
Jiang Taigong was a disciple of the Primordial Lord, one of the Three Pure Ones. In his youth, he engaged in various trades, but whatever he did ended in loss. He spent his life fishing and eventually caught a five-clawed golden dragon!
However, Jiang Taigong had another significant achievement—Deification!
Although the Investiture of the Gods is nominally a battle between the Intercepting Teachings and the Chan teachings, it was actually a conflict marking the transition of the new Ancient Court. Ultimately, humanity emerged victorious.
You see, in the Investiture of the Gods, most of the people from the Intercepting Teachings were cultivated by Demon Cultivators, while most in the Chan teachings were individuals who had attained immortality through cultivation.
Among them, representing the Primordial Lord, was none other than Jiang Taigong!
The Divine Whip is the treasure used by Jiang Taigong! The Divine Whip measures three feet and six inches long, with twenty-one segments; each segment has four Talisman seals, totaling eighty-four Talisman seals, known as the Divine Whip.
The Divine Whip has a unique characteristic: it can only strike those recorded in the Investiture of the Gods. However, since the end of the Deification battle, the Divine Whip has become an ordinary wooden whip. Thanks to the efforts of Jiang Family descendants, the Divine Whip has finally transformed into a magical artifact capable of dispelling Evil Energy.
Upon seeing the wooden whip, Ghost Fangzi's expression changed, and he said, "You actually gave this divine whip to this child."
I grabbed the Divine Whip and fiercely swung it down at Ghost Fangzi.
"Whoosh!!!"
A beam of golden light shot out as the Divine Whip fell, targeting Ghost Fangzi!
I wasn't sure how effective the Divine Whip would be against Ghost Fangzi, but judging by his expression, he seemed quite wary of this wooden whip.
Ghost Fangzi extended his hand and directly dispersed the golden light with his palm.
"If it were that blind Jiang, I would pay more attention. As for you..." Ghost Fangzi said with a strange smile, floating effortlessly to my side.
I had no idea how he got so close to me.
Ghost Fangzi moved incredibly fast, and his palm struck me directly.
Is it Voodoo? Having suffered once before, I instinctively thought of this while simultaneously retreating to avoid his strike.
Unfortunately, that palm still landed on me.
Centered around the imprint of his palm, my flesh began to slowly wither and shrink until only my stark white bones remained. This palm strike was indeed insidiously vicious!
"Wake up!!!" Suddenly, someone slapped my head, causing me to wince in pain.
However, when I finally reacted and looked down, I realized that I had not turned into a skeleton; there weren't even any handprints on my body.
"Senior Jiang, what is this?" I looked at Ginger Daoist in confusion.
"Evil energy has entered your body. Remember, Ghost Fangzi can lead you astray with every move he makes. To deal with him, the first thing you must do is not look at him."
How is that possible? Am I supposed to blind myself like you? That won't work; I'm afraid of the pain.
