"Tick, tick."
Water droplets continuously fell. In the Tomb, the most terrifying thing was not the Zongzi or the Corpse Tortoise, but the uncertainty of everything that lay ahead.
Right now, my only thought was to quickly escape these eerie tomb passages; otherwise, we would surely die here.
Carrying Shaoming on my back ensured that even if we were displaced, we would not be separated.
"If I'm correct, this should be something similar to a formation. Since it's a formation, there must be a key to activate it," I said to Shaoming. "Moreover, it should follow a pattern. Therefore, identifying the key and the pattern of this formation is our most important task right now."
The corner of the tomb passage could be turned, meaning as long as we kept moving, we could avoid being displaced?
Wait, footsteps, turning around, and position? Could this be the key to this formation?
I deliberately stopped my footsteps for a moment. When I moved forward again, I was not teleported away.
It seemed my guess might be correct.
Just now, I glanced back at Shaoming; since my steps did not stop, we were not displaced. This meant that only by simultaneously stopping and turning around would we trigger the displacement.
But would stopping and turning at different positions lead to different displacement locations?
That was difficult to determine, but it was possible.
"Boss, is that you? Where are you?" Suddenly, Li Ping's voice echoed in my mind. Had he finally caught onto my whereabouts?
"What happened to you?" I responded.
"We have all been separated. I tried to contact them a few times before, but they quickly disappeared again. By the way, boss, who is on your back?"
"My apprentice, it's nothing." I replied, "Listen carefully, I have some understanding of this tomb passage now. Pay close attention to what I say and relay it to everyone you can reach."

As long as those two conditions are met, one will be transferred to another passage. Moreover, every end of the passage leads to a corner that can be entered. Before I could respond, Li Ping's voice vanished, indicating he had been transferred again.
No wonder there are no defenses against tomb raiding outside this Demon Tomb; with this maze in place, what do we have to fear from tomb raiders?
I continued walking and turned another corner; this was not the first corner I had turned. After encountering Shaoming, I had connected to several rooms, but unfortunately, each room contained only a bed and a coffin—bones on the bed and an empty coffin.
I had left markers in the previous rooms, meaning that each time I entered, it was not the same room.
I didn't know what these rooms represented, but since they were established here, there must be some significance.
"Master, let's take a break here," Shaoming said from behind me. Ever since she transformed back into a child, she had become more comfortable calling me 'Master.'
"Are you tired?" I rolled my eyes at her. "I'm the one carrying you; how can you even say you're tired?"
"I'll take care of you," Shaoming pouted.
Damn it, after Shaoming transformed, she seemed like a completely different person, using her advantages to act cute. I couldn't stand it; am I her master or is she my elder?
I pushed open the door, and as expected, it was still the standard setup of a bed and a coffin. However, this time there were no bones on the bed.
What exactly is this room for? Shaoming had stayed in this room for so long without any issues. Or perhaps these rooms are actually places for the tomb owner to rest? Then what were those bones about?
The bones appeared to be human skeletons, and we had already confirmed that this tomb was a Demon Tomb. This means that these bones must have appeared in this tomb later on.
However, there were no bones on the bed in this room. What about the coffin?
Thinking of this, I set Shaoming down and walked towards the dark coffin.
What could be inside?
The coffin lid was heavy. As I struggled to move it, I thought how nice it would be if Zhang Fan were here.
I opened the coffin lid, and inside lay a person.
It was actually Zhang Fan!!!
What the hell! What kind of situation is this? Is this coffin some kind of wish-fulfilling coffin? I just thought about Zhang Fan, and here he is! If only I could think about endless wealth!
Suddenly, Zhang Fan opened his eyes, but they were grayish-white.
He is not Zhang Fan. In an instant, I realized that this room was different from the previous one. The coffins in the earlier rooms were all empty, which means that the skeleton on the bed must be...
Only the coffin in the room with a skeleton on the bed is normal. Why is that?
“Burial, this is a method used by the demon clan to punish those who intend to enter their Tomb.” Shaoming looked at ‘Zhang Fan’ and said, “The previous coffins did not have any unusual rooms because there were already Burial individuals, meaning that every coffin in the previous rooms had been enchanted, but those Spells have already been used up.”
So, the previous bones were used for Burial? The absence of bones here means that no one has been Burial yet?
“Are you saying we need to send the things back into the coffin?”
“Pretty much,” Shaoming replied. He crossed his hands in front of his chest, and demonic energy appeared between his fingers. Then he switched the position of his hands, and a stream of demonic energy shot out from Shaoming’s hand.
The magical force directly struck ‘Zhang Fan’, pushing him back into the coffin.
I quickly closed the coffin lid.
As soon as the lid was closed, ‘Zhang Fan’ didn’t settle down; several Exorcism Talismans appeared in his hands and he quickly put them onto the coffin lid. Once the Exorcism was applied, ‘Zhang Fan’ calmed down.
“Shall we go?” I looked at Shaoming: “If he jumps out, it’ll be Trouble.”
“Alright, let’s go.” Shaoming gestured for me to crouch down.
As we exited the room, I began to sense something was off; this wasn’t the path I took when I arrived.
“We’ve been moved, but we haven’t stopped or turned around,” I said to Shaoming.
“I noticed that too. Keep walking,” Shaoming replied. “When soldiers come, we fight; when water comes, we block. What’s there to be afraid of?”
“That’s true.”
Like before, there was a corner at the end of the passage. I walked straight past it; this time there were no rooms at the corner, but another dark tomb passage.
"Are we out?" I asked uncertainly as I looked at the tomb passage.
"I don't know, but we shouldn't be transferred again," Shaoming replied.
"Roar!!!!!!!"
A roar came from the end of the tomb passage, and it was clear that it was not a human sound.
"There are monsters over there," I said. "Should we go?"
"Let's go!" Shaoming said firmly.
In the pitch-black tomb passage, Earthwalker lowered his head and felt along the wall.
This was his habit, developed over many years in the Tomb. Not just him; basically everyone involved in Tomb Raiding had this habit.
Earthwalker had no idea where he was now. Since getting separated from Yin Zheng'an, he had lost count of how many times he had been transferred.
Fortunately, with years of Tomb Raiding experience, Earthwalker knew that no matter how strange the passage was, there would definitely be an exit; otherwise, he would have given up long ago.
However, this tomb passage was truly bizarre. Despite years of Tomb Raiding, Earthwalker had never encountered a passage like this. He held a Luoyang Shovel in his hand to probe ahead. Lighting a lamp in the tomb passage was not allowed, but the Luoyang Shovel acted like an extension of Earthwalker's eyes; as long as it touched the ground, he could tell if there was a way forward.
"Old Sun." Suddenly, a voice echoed in Earthwalker's mind.
"Li Ping? Where are you?"
"I don't know either, but I got some information from the boss," Li Ping said. "Don't stop suddenly in the passage and then turn around; that will get you transferred. Also, at the end of the passage is a room; there's a possibility of finding an exit in there."
"Really?" Earthwalker said. He knew that at the end of the tomb path was a room, but he didn't dare to enter.
"This is all the information I have. I need to find others to relay it," he continued.
"Okay, take care."
Having received the information from Li Ping, Earthwalker decided to check the next room.
"Creak."
He pushed open a dusty door and saw a bed and a coffin.
There was nothing on the bed!
"A coffin?" Earthwalker muttered to himself. "Could there be Zongzi inside?"
Earthwalker planned to open the coffin to see what was inside.
"If only the boss were here, then I wouldn't have to do this alone," Earthwalker thought.
As soon as the coffin opened, there was indeed a person lying inside.
"What is this?" Earthwalker exclaimed in surprise. "No way!"
He turned to run, but the person in the coffin had already sat up.
The door wouldn't budge, and Earthwalker had no choice but to turn around, holding the Luoyang Shovel in his hand.
"Ahhhhh!!!"
Earthwalker began to shout as if going mad.
Following the source of the sound, Shaoming and I hurried towards it.
It was a room, and the sound was coming from inside.
"Should we open it?" I asked Shaoming. "I have no idea what's inside if we push the door open."
"Go ahead, what are you afraid of?" Shaoming showed no sense of danger at all.
"You really are carefree."
I reached out and pushed the door open slowly.
