The so-called Dry Earth Formation is actually a collective term for various formations that use the Dry Earth Branches as their array paths, including the Trap Formation, Killing Formation, Maze Formation, and so on.

The rumbling from below continued for a while before stopping with a sound of something breaking through the earth.
Zombie Ba! The Zombie Ba sealed for a thousand years has reemerged!
"Roar~~~~~" Zombie Ba swung a massive blue stone door panel, which was precisely the blue stone that had previously suppressed it!
The blue stone had suppressed Zombie Ba for an unknown duration. As the Dry Formation gradually lost its effectiveness due to changes in terrain, it was further influenced by Zombie Ba's malevolent energy and became assimilated by it. Now it had even turned into a weapon in Zombie Ba's hands! The Middle-Aged Taoist had mentioned before that this blue stone might have been utilized by Zombie Ba; it seems that Zombie Ba used it to surge up from underground so quickly.
Zombie Ba is extremely tall; it appears that in life it was not human or perhaps not an ordinary human. Standing over four meters tall, its muscles bulged outwards like pillars. It had two tusks protruding from its mouth, and its eyes were entirely red as if they would bleed at any moment. Its body was covered in short black fur, which is one of the characteristics of zombies; this fur is not real but rather formed by malevolent energy separating from its body. The enormous Bluestone was gripped in one hand by Zombie Ba as if it were merely holding a brick. Its hands were very large with arms proportioned differently than those of humans; overall, Zombie Ba resembled a gigantic silverback gorilla!
"Ding Mao, Jiawei!" I formed a spell gesture and shouted loudly at Pixiu. Ding Mao and Jiawei are positions within the Dry Earth Formation; these two positions are currently the best spots to attack Zombie Ba.
Pixiu reacted quickly and immediately landed at Ding Mao's position while flicking its tail to provide cover for me. After transforming its form, Pixiu looked nothing like the dirty "earth dog" it used to be. Now Pixiu was covered in purple gold scales; its teeth and claws were sharp like daggers, its eyes had turned golden, and spikes resembling halberds grew from the tip of its tail. Now Pixiu truly resembled a majestic divine beast!
I leaped down from the treetop while drawing Zhang Fan's Brass Greatsword.
Although Pixiu had grown significantly larger, it still resembled a puppy in front of Zombie Ba. Pixiu's tail merely attracted Zombie Ba's attention, allowing me to land in the position of 'Armor End.'
I hadn't expected Zombie Ba to be so enormous, but fortunately, I still held Zhang Fan's Brass Greatsword. I took out a 'Three Disasters' talisman and affixed it to the Brass Greatsword.
Talisman Magic, one of the Eight Treasures Mystiques, is the most widely known and easiest to learn type of spell. While Talisman Magic is widespread, it is also extremely intricate and complex. The 'Three Disasters' is one of the eight original talismans and the only one that can be used for attack.
The Three Disasters can also refer to the Three Disasters that originate from the Cultivator's three calamities. After becoming an immortal, a Cultivator must endure a hardship every thousand years. Only those who have experienced six calamities can attain great freedom and ease. Each calamity corresponds to what is known as the 'Three Disasters': wind disaster, fire disaster, and thunder disaster.
The Three Disasters talisman uses wind, fire, and thunder as means of attack (the Fire Talisman is not the same as the Three Disasters talisman).
When dealing with Zombie Ba, using the fire disaster from the Three Disasters talisman is definitely not an option, so I chose the most domineering thunder disaster talisman.
Thunder represents righteous energy among the elements of earth and has the effect of restraining Evil Spirits. However, I am more adept at controlling fire, so I don't often use thunder in general situations.
Moreover, within the five elements, there are interactions of generation and restraint. I usually use a Peach Wood Sword, so using a Fire Talisman would yield better results. However, today is different; I am wielding a massive Brass Greatsword! Wouldn't it be a waste not to use thunder for an attack?
Of course, I wouldn't be foolish enough to activate the Thunder Calamity Triad talisman while holding the Brass Greatsword since brass conducts electricity. I can't risk electrocuting myself before even striking my enemy!
So I employed the Three Talents Sword Formation technique to turn the Brass Greatsword into a Flying Sword for my attack. With one hand forming a sword gesture to control the flight trajectory of the Brass Greatsword, my other hand made a grabbing motion in mid-air to activate the Thunder Calamity Triad talisman on it.
I deliberately let the Brass Greatsword ascend to a certain height before descending. Just as it was about to strike Zombie Ba, I activated the Thunder Calamity Triad talisman. Suddenly, it was as if a bolt of lightning descended directly onto Zombie Ba's head.
"Clang!" It sounded like two pieces of wrought iron colliding; as soon as the thunder-infused Brass Greatsword struck Zombie Ba, it rebounded and spun through the air.
"Wow! This thing's head is incredibly hard! What is it made of?" I couldn't help but exclaim.
At that moment, Pixiu had already been caught by Zombie Ba by its tail and was swung around like a weapon. Zombie Ba held onto a piece of bluestone with one hand while using Pixiu as a weapon with the other!
The terrifying aspect of Zombie Ba lies in its indestructible body and immense strength. It’s nearly impossible to confront it directly; it's akin to flying a kite without being able to pull it down.
Zombie Ba used Pixiu as a weapon against me. Although Zombie Ba possessed immense strength, its speed left much to be desired—especially compared to my own swiftness.
I lightly swerved aside to avoid being hit by Pixiu being swung around. Pixiu reacted quickly too; once close to the ground, it clawed at the surface and kicked off with its legs to break free from Zombie Ba's grasp.
“Pixiu, this thing is too tough, I can't move it.” As I landed, I immediately jumped back to the treetops and said to Pixiu.
“What should we do?” Pixiu also seemed quite troubled.
I took out the Octagonal Taiji, intending to use the Taiji Diagram to bind Zombie Ba, but then I suddenly remembered that the Octagonal Taiji could only be used once, and I had already used it to control Zhang Fan.
“Damn.” I shook my head in frustration; my luck was really bad.
I couldn't use the Ebony Hairpin so early, after all, it was my last resort. If I couldn't resolve the current situation with Zombie Ba, it would truly be a dead end. The same went for the ground support; I couldn't use it too early either, as it needed to be combined with the Ebony Hairpin.
