At the Jinting Human Affairs Station, there are many people. I know Master entrusted me to Uncle Xing. Although Uncle Xing sometimes acts a bit foolishly, he still takes care of me. As for Old Black, we hit it off right away; after just a few meetings, we could already tease each other. Sun God did trick me at first, and while White Impermanence is not very talkative, I can feel that they are all very loyal people and spirits. This was evident from the incident with Old Black. By the way, I almost forgot to call Sister Wang Ni!
I called Wang Ni, and she readily agreed when she heard that Uncle Xing and Old Black would be coming. Fortunately, I had reserved a few extra spots from the beginning; otherwise, I would have been in trouble.
By a twist of fate, aside from White Impermanence, most of the people I am familiar with had gathered.
Thus, the attendees were nearly confirmed. It's quite peculiar to think about—a table not only has the War God from the Ancient Court but also representatives from the Underworld like Black Wuchang and the current Court Representative Sun God, along with human representatives Wang Ni and Lin Miaomiao. People from all three realms were present. Plus, I was there as the Taoist Representative and Red Boy as the Buddhist Representative... In short, it was going to be lively.
The earliest arrivals were Old Black and Red Boy, followed by Wang Ni. After waiting together in the lobby for a while, Uncle Xing arrived.
Uncle Xing did not come alone; he brought Jin with him.
Today, Jin was not wearing her usual professional attire but instead sported a plaid shirt paired with jeans.
There were quite a few beautiful women I knew there, including Lin Miaomiao and Sister Wang Ni, along with three stunning ladies from Red Bean Noodle Shop. However, Jin was definitely the tallest among them. With her incredibly slender legs, she appeared particularly tall. Moreover, she liked to wear high heels...
With Jin and Wang Ni around, Lin Miaomiao looked like a girl; she instinctively pulled Red Boy aside to whisper together.
"Hahaha! Little Anzi, what a rare sight!" Uncle Xing called out to me in his loud voice as he walked over proudly.
I didn't mind him calling me "Little Anzi." However, I felt that from today onward, everyone would start habitually calling me "Little Anzi," which sent shivers down my spine.
I quickly approached him and pulled Uncle Xing aside.
"Uncle Xing, your coming here is already giving me face; come on, let's take our seats," I said with a smile. I still needed to maintain my image as the host.
Jin, as usual, was not very willing to pay attention to me, proudly following Uncle Xing.
Lin Miaomiao leaned closer and whispered to me, "This sister is so cold."
I rubbed my nose nervously, completely agreeing with Lin Miaomiao's assessment.
Our group walked into the private room, and I could still vaguely hear the waitstaff in the hall commenting on Lin Miaomiao and the others. Beautiful women always attract attention, especially when there are many of them. Although the number of beautiful women I called out was not dominant, their combined looks could definitely be off the charts. What's more, they were all different types. Lin Miaomiao was lively and quirky, while Wang Ni appeared to be a more gentle beauty on the surface. As for Jin, her aloofness was definitely not an act…
"Uncle Xing, Old Black, Brother Wen, want to drink?" Although it was a buffet-style setup, aside from free beer, other drinks had to be paid for.
"One and a half jin of baijiu, drink as much beer as you want!" Sun God shouted boldly.
I was being foolish; these guys could definitely drink. Money was one thing, but I always had to accompany them when they drank, right? My alcohol tolerance was not good; I could get drunk even from sweet rice wine…
"Me too! Me too!" Red Boy raised his hand high.
Lin Miaomiao casually slapped Red Boy on the head, and I saw Sun God's mouth twitch unnaturally.
"Kid, what kind of alcohol are you drinking?"
"Oh no, it can't be like this." Old Black surprisingly supported him: "If one does not love alcohol, there should be no wine fairy; if the earth does not love alcohol, there should be no wine spring; if everyone loves alcohol, then drinking is justified!"
Old Black actually shook his head and recited this. He must get along well with my master because my master used to trick me like this too…
In the end, it was Uncle Xing who made the decision—five jin of baijiu and a case of beer to start.
Lin Miaomiao sat nearby, tilting her head to ask me, "Is this how all you guys drink?"
"I usually don't drink," I replied.
Since it was a self-service setup, the waiter brought out the Broth Base and then left. Uncle Xing casually sat on the stool, instructing Jin to get him what he wanted to eat.
It was strange; Jin didn't listen to anyone, but whenever it was Uncle Xing's request, she would complete it quickly and perfectly. Soon, Uncle Xing's table was piled high with food. Sun God, sitting next to him, attempted to grab some but was shot down by the murderous glare from Jin.
Lin Miaomiao obediently went to help Red Boy and Wang Ni, who was seated inside and couldn't get up. She and Wang Ni seemed to get along quite well.
Uncle Xing pinched a small white liquor glass that could only hold four ounces and smacked his lips, looking unsatisfied. He called over the waiter and got a larger cup for beer...
At that moment, I suddenly realized why Uncle Xing looked a bit disappointed when he saw only five kilograms of white liquor and a case of beer—apparently, all of that was ordered for himself...
Uncle Xing boldly downed half of the large cup... of white liquor! He was nothing like those heroes on TV who spill half of it while drinking. Not only did he not spill a drop, but he also carefully placed it back on the table, fearing even a single drop might be lost.
Lin Miaomiao was almost stunned; not just her, even Sun God, who could usually drink one and a half kilograms, widened his eyes in disbelief.
Wang Ni silently switched her glass for the larger cup as well. Although she wasn't as bold as Uncle Xing, she still downed about a third in one go.
I was nearly having a heart attack—not because I was worried about them, but simply because I felt sorry for my own hard-earned Renminbi that was about to slip away from me.
"Alright!" Old Black shouted enthusiastically, "Let me show you my skills too!"
Old Black grabbed two bottles of beer, one in each hand, and chugged both down in one go.
I don't feel sorry at all because the beer is free.
I saw Sun God's cold sweat dripping down as he struggled with the peanuts in front of him. He probably didn't expect these people to be so twisted...
Meanwhile, Red Boy was being held down by Lin Miaomiao, only able to drink juice. He was competing with the glass of juice, biting the straw and blowing air into it with a dissatisfied expression.
Just when Old Black and the others were about to finish their drinks, Broth Base finally started boiling, happily steaming. I specifically ordered a Yin-Yang Hot Pot, half meat and half vegetables.
"Come on, come on," I called out. "Eat your vegetables."
If they kept drinking like this, I would soon go bankrupt...
After several rounds of drinks, the first one to pass out was surprisingly Sun God. Old Black was also getting tipsy, but only Uncle Xing remained, sitting there continuing to drink cup after cup.
Uncle Xing must have been drunk too. How do I know? Because he was now drinking not alcohol, but the hot pot broth...
Looking at these drunks made me worried. Uncle Xing would be fine; he would definitely get sent home. But what about Sun God and Old Black? Oh right, and Wang Ni.
Turning my head, I saw that Wang Ni only had slightly flushed cheeks and showed no signs of being drunk at all.
Out of this whole group, it turned out that Wang Ni was the last one sitting there.
With Old Black and Sun God keeping him company, Uncle Xing didn't force me to drink either; I just raised a few cups to show my intent.
I called over the waiter, settled the bill, then I carried Old Black, while Red Boy supported Sun God, and we all left the hot pot restaurant.
I am not worried, after all, there is Jin. However, when Jin helped Uncle Xing away, I clearly heard someone nearby say, "Old Cow eats tender grass..."
It's hard to imagine the look in Jin's eyes at that moment; if looks could kill, there would surely be rivers of blood.
Old Black and Sun God are also manageable. Although they were all drunk, they still had decent manners and weren't completely out of control.
Red Boy and I supported Old Black and Sun God while Lin Miaomiao flagged down a taxi ahead to help them in. When I turned around, Wang Ni was already lying in the middle of the road.
I shook my head helplessly and asked Lin Miaomiao and Red Boy to head back first. I requested the driver to help when he got out, and he readily agreed.
After closing the taxi door and sending Lin Miaomiao off, I turned back to Wang Ni.
Wang Ni was sprawled on the ground, her hair a mess, looking quite disheveled. Sighing, I helped her up.
"Sister Ni, are you okay? Wake up quickly; you can sleep at home later." I shook Wang Ni gently. She reeked of alcohol; although she seemed fine, I knew she was completely drunk.
Wang Ni woke up with a groan and immediately vomited all over me.
What did I do to deserve this...
