On the grass, fresh blood splattered everywhere. It was late summer, and the heat was intense; the corpses began to smell, and swarms of flies buzzed around, creating a disturbing noise.
Ye Yang calmly observed his surroundings, uncertain about what kind of magical beast had killed this group of people. However, since he entered this valley, he felt as if he were being locked onto by countless auras. Something must be hiding in the darkness, watching him with greedy eyes, as if it were looking at prey.
Holding the Breaking Flame Sword, Ye Yang coldly glanced around. After confirming there was nothing unusual, he waved his hand, sending over a dozen fierce Fire God Powers flying, incinerating the bodies of the martial artists into Ashes. This way, they would not rot away and be devoured by beasts.

Ye Yang did not rush; he continued to move forward slowly. He dared not walk too fast, as that would betray his inner anxiety and give the hidden hunter in the darkness an opportunity!
Not far ahead, he heard a series of "whoosh" sounds that seemed somewhat familiar!
Curious, Ye Yang stepped closer and was stunned by the sight before him—
A Porcupine was rooting around a tree that was as big as two people could hug. The Porcupine was enormous, weighing around 500 pounds. The tree swayed back and forth under its efforts until suddenly, with a loud crash, the tree fell!
Logically speaking, it was reasonable for a wild boar to uproot Big White vegetables; however, uprooting a towering tree seemed far-fetched. Clearly, this Porcupine was no ordinary wild boar but a legendary magical beast!
Ye Yang recognized it from the Beast Compendium he had studied all night before leaving Liang City. This wild boar was known as the Ironback Boar, a Third-Order Beast with Earth attributes. It possessed immense strength and was surrounded by sharp quills. Its back had been coated with resin over many years, forming a very hard armor. The Ironback Boar was considered one of the strongest in defense among Third-Order Beasts!

At that moment, voices came from the west: "Big Brother, look! There's a Third-Order Beast, an Ironback Boar! Should we go take it down? If we kill it, we can become Pavilion Chiefs just like that Liu Bang idiot! Hahaha..."
Ye Yang looked over and discovered three martial artists approaching the Ironback Boar. The weakest among them had Earth Level Three strength, while the strongest was at the peak of Earth Level Three. They wielded Blades and charged confidently toward the Ironback Boar.
"Roar!"
The Ironback Boar detected the enemy and immediately let out a sharp scream, its steel quills standing on end as it charged straight at the three men!
"Second brother, be careful!"
The leading man swung the Demon Blade fiercely towards the back of the Ironback Boar!
"Clang!"
Sparks flew, but he failed to penetrate the Porcupine's defenses. Instead, another man let out a scream as his thigh was pierced by the dense spikes on the Porcupine's forehead, his cries echoing across the vast fields!
"Beast!"
The knife-wielding man was furious, his body radiating a yellowish energy as he raised his long knife to strike again!
"Clang!"
Another sound rang out as the Ironback Boar roared and shook its body, deflecting the man's long knife. It then charged forward, countless spikes piercing into the man's abdomen, and he died in an instant!

Ye Yang watched with wide eyes. Although all were at Earth Level Three, none of the three stood a chance against the Ironback Boar. No wonder the Beast Compendium warned not to provoke it; this beast, impervious to blades and bullets, was truly a Death King!
Seeing that their strongest member had already died, the other two were terrified and hurriedly fled towards a distant hillside.
However, suddenly there was a cacophony of "chirping" sounds from above, followed by the grass on the hillside beginning to tremble, shaking across the entire mountain!
"What?!"
Two burly men had not yet reacted when they suddenly let out a series of desperate screams. Some black creatures crawled up their bodies, gnawing fiercely, and in the blink of an eye, both men fell to the ground, leaving behind only two bloody bones!
Ye Yang gritted his teeth, realizing he had no chance to call for help; in just a moment, the three of them had met a tragic fate!
The entire grassland trembled, and soon, countless creatures appeared on the ground. The culprits were revealed to be black rats!
Ye Yang took a deep breath: "Oh my! Is this the Endless Rat?"
Endless Rat, as recorded in the Beast Compendium, is a first-tier magical beast that lives in groups and reproduces rapidly. It has very few natural enemies and possesses extremely sharp teeth capable of gnawing through anything, even steel. Ordinary weapons cannot threaten them. More importantly, Endless Rats act in swarms and reproduce quickly, making it impossible to eradicate them completely, hence their name!
Ye Yang silently lamented; he never expected to encounter such a terrifying existence. Now, even if he wanted to hide, it was futile. The Endless Rat has an incredibly keen sense of smell and can detect any living being within miles!
Compared to the Third-Order Beast Ironback Boar, the Endless Rat was actually far more terrifying!
At that moment, the Ironback Boar overturned the corpse of one of the victims and spotted Ye Yang in the distance. It charged recklessly toward him while emitting sharp roars!
"Clang!"
Ye Yang drew out the Breaking Flame Sword from behind him and smiled slightly: "Let me send you off, beast!"
Leaping into action, the Fire God Fragment True Qi rapidly transformed into lightning power within his arm. Fiery purple lightning appeared around the Blade as he swung down with a thunderous strike—Wilderness Thunder!
"Slash!"
The Ironback Boar had provoked someone it shouldn't have. With just one strike, its skull was cleaved open, its body split in two, blood spraying everywhere in a gruesome sight.
Ye Yang exhaled; indeed, his Earth Level Six strength far surpassed that of the Ironback Boar. With just one sword strike, this pig's head could not withstand it!
However, at this moment, the mountains were flooded with Endless Rats.
"Chirp..."
Accompanied by piercing screams, a swarm of Endless Rats quickly engulfed the corpse of the Ironback Boar. In just a few seconds, the Ironback Boar's tough body was actually torn apart!
A group of Endless Rats rushed towards Ye Yang, seemingly wanting to tear him apart as well.
"Hmph!"
Ye Yang snorted lightly, secretly channeling Fire God Fragment True Qi. Waves of Blazing Cyclones appeared around his body, tightly protecting him within. This was the Protective Aura formed from Fire God Power, sufficient to withstand these little creatures!
The Endless Rats shrieked loudly as they charged at Ye Yang's feet but were suddenly bounced back by a Barrier Wall. Ling Kong was burned to ashes by the flames; however, the Endless Rats continued to pounce forward relentlessly, undeterred and unyielding.
Ye Yang finally understood why many Earth Level Five experts had perished outside the Azure Cloud Mountain Range. Once faced with these Endless Rats, they could not be completely exterminated. Even those with great strength would be drained of their power and become food for the Endless Rats.
Thinking of this, Ye Yang resolutely took a step forward, leaping several times. With each leap, he left behind circles of flames on the ground, incinerating countless Endless Rats as he charged into the distance.
