The people in the palace cheered with joy, knowing that the threat of the Demon Clan had finally been eliminated.
" Curator Lin, you are truly amazing! You are the hero of our Heavenly Revelation!"
" Curator Lin, you are indeed our guardian deity!"
The Imperial Guards cheered, their faces filled with delight.
I slowly raised my hand to signal everyone to quiet down. "We have won this battle! But we must not let our guard down; the Demon Clan is cunning, and after this defeat, they will surely return."
The crowd gradually quieted down, all eyes focused on me, filled with admiration, gratitude, and deep trust.
"Brother Lin Fan, you are incredible!" The Little Emperor excitedly ran to my side, looking up at me with eyes sparkling with admiration. "How did you manage to trap those demons? That formation was amazing!"
"Yes, Curator Lin, how did you do it? That formation was simply unheard of and powerful beyond belief," General Zhao couldn't help but ask, his tone filled with respect and curiosity.
"Haha, this is my unique secret technique; I can't reveal it easily." I smiled mysteriously and bent down to gently pat the Little Emperor's head. "But rest assured, Your Majesty, as long as I am here, no demon will set foot in the palace!"
"Mm!" The Little Emperor nodded vigorously, his youthful face filled with determination.
"Report—"
At that moment, an Imperial Guard rushed over, kneeling on one knee and reporting loudly, "Reporting to Curator Lin, there has been a sudden violent fluctuation in the encirclement of the Demon Army. A huge spatial rift has appeared in the sky; it seems something unusual is happening!"
A chill ran through me as an ominous premonition surged within my heart.
"Let's go take a look!"
I said in a deep voice and quickly led the Little Emperor, General Zhao, and others toward the scene of the incident.
As they arrived at the outskirts of the palace, everyone gasped in shock at the sight before them.
The once clear sky was now shrouded by a massive black vortex, with howling winds and flashes of lightning. A suffocating sense of terror descended from above, as if the apocalypse had arrived.
"What is that?!" General Zhao exclaimed, his face turning pale.
"This is bad; it's the Demon Gate! The demon race is trying to summon a more powerful force!" My heart sank as I immediately understood the situation.
The Demon Gate is a passage connecting the demon realm to the human world, and only the most powerful beings among the demons can open it. Once the Demon Gate is fully opened, an endless stream of Demon Army will pour into the Apocalypse Continent, and the consequences would be unimaginable!
"Brother Lin Fan, I'm scared..." The Little Emperor clutched my clothing tightly, his small face filled with fear.
"Don't be afraid, Your Majesty. I'm here," I gently patted his shoulder and shielded him behind me, my gaze resolutely fixed on the Demon Gate in the sky. "General Zhao, immediately issue orders for all soldiers to prepare for battle. We must defend Heavenly Revelation at all costs and not allow the demon race to step foot into the palace!"
"Yes!" General Zhao responded loudly, his eyes burning with fierce determination.
Boom!
With a tremendous roar, a massive Black Pillar of Light shot out from the Demon Gate, piercing through the clouds and illuminating the already dim sky as if it were broad daylight.
Within that Black Pillar of Light, a massive black altar slowly descended, covered in strange runes that emitted a chilling aura of evil.
"Hahaha, humble humans, tremble and despair! Welcome your doom!"
A voice filled with arrogance and cruelty echoed from the altar, deafening all who heard it.
There stood a man on the altar, clad in a black robe, wearing a golden crown, and holding a black scepter. A cruel smile adorned his face, and his eyes were cold and merciless, as if he were looking down upon mere insects.
"The Demon King!"
A gasp erupted from the crowd, fear etched on everyone's faces.
The Demon King, the supreme ruler of the demon race, possessed unfathomable power. Legends spoke of his terrifying ability to destroy the world, making him a nightmare for all humanity!
" Curator Lin, what should we do?" General Zhao asked, his face pale and voice trembling.
I took a deep breath to suppress my fear and said with determination in my eyes, "Don't be afraid. Even if he is the Demon King, I will fight him!"
As I spoke, I slowly drew my longsword from my waist. A sharp sword intent surged upward, pointing directly at the arrogant Demon King in the sky!
