On the other side, Lu Li watched the screen as Su Qingyi replied to his email, a playful smirk curling at the corners of his mouth. He knew Su Qingyi would show up because, like him, she had an inherent obsession with uncovering the truth.
Lu Li's fingers flew across the keyboard, lines of code cascading down like a waterfall. He needed to create a safe communication environment for Su Qingyi while also concealing his own identity.
As night fell, the city was adorned with neon lights that made it seem like daytime. Lu Li sat in front of his computer, his eyes fixed on the countdown on the screen. At exactly ten o'clock, Su Qingyi logged on right on time. The two met in an encrypted chat room.
