Xin Yi and Roxy were trapped at the top of Yin-Yang Mountain, surrounded on three sides by cliffs and facing a large number of pursuers. With no way out, the two decided to make a bet on who could take down more Taiwan Soldiers. Just as they finished discussing the competition, they noticed a beam from a Powerful Flashlight approaching them from not far away. Xin Yi laughed and said, "Look, it's coming just as we mentioned it. The competition is about to begin! Let's split up and fight separately to avoid any confusion about who took down whom!" 0

"No, we won't split up!" Roxy firmly rejected. "We'll stick together; you take the right side and I'll take the left. We'll count how many we each take down. I promise I won't cheat unless you do!" 0

"Well, whatever you say goes... But can you let go of my hand? We can't just hold hands while taking down Taiwan Soldiers, can we? Do you really think they're just made of clay? There's no danger at all?" Xin Yi raised her left hand, which Roxy was tightly holding. 0

"No! I'm not letting go! We can still take down Taiwan Soldiers like this," Roxy stubbornly replied. In truth, she wasn't being stubborn or throwing a tantrum; she simply hoped that if they were to be killed by Taiwan Soldiers, they could die hand in hand. 0

As they spoke, the Taiwan Soldiers were only twenty meters away. Xin Yi tightened her grip on Roxy's hand and said, "Let's start!" 0

"Okay," Roxy replied, also tightening her grip on Xin Yi's hand. They both raised their guns and pulled the triggers simultaneously. With two gunshots ringing out, two Powerful Flashlights among the lined-up Taiwan Soldiers were suddenly sent flying into the air, followed by two screams as two Taiwan Soldiers fell to the ground. To their surprise, Roxy's left-handed shooting was just as accurate. Xin Yi praised her, saying, "Not bad! Your left-handed shooting is impressive too. If you had two guns going at once, you'd become the famous dual-wielding old lady in our Heavenly Pride history—amazing!" 0

"Hey! Who are you calling an old lady? Am I that old?" Roxy unexpectedly retorted angrily. "If I'm an old lady, then you'd be an old man!" 0

"Ha ha, yes, yes, you're not an old lady," Xin Yi laughed. "You're a stunning beauty in your prime; I'm just the old man here—I'm like that legendary old fisherman with a straight hook." 0

Although they joked and laughed with each other, their hands remained steady on their guns. Before the Taiwan Soldiers could react, several more gunshots extinguished more flashlight beams. It was only then that the Taiwan Soldiers realized they were exposed while the attackers were hidden in the dark. Realizing they were at a disadvantage, they quickly turned off their flashlights, plunging the mountaintop into darkness. In the dark, the Taiwan Soldiers raised their automatic rifles and began firing wildly in the direction of the gunfire in an attempt to hit the attackers. Meanwhile, Xin Yi and Roxy had already moved hand in hand to another location behind a large tree. 0

"I fired three shots; I should have taken down three," Roxy said from behind the tree. "You seem to have fired four shots; you should have taken down four—so you're ahead by one for now. But don’t get too proud; I'll definitely surpass you soon!" 0

"No, I only took down three as well," Xin Yi replied. "One shot missed its target, so we're currently tied. I believe you'll definitely surpass me; how can this old fisherman compare to you—the brave and skilled dual-wielding shooter... sister? Ha ha, I concede." 0

After a chaotic barrage of gunfire aimed at where the shots had come from, the Taiwan Soldiers huddled together to discuss their strategy when they heard their leader's voice rise above the noise: "Damn it! I didn't expect this guy would still dare to shoot back at this time! Everyone who can still breathe better answer me—how many are left?" 0

"Squad Leader, I'm still here!" "Squad Leader, I'm here too." "I'm not dead yet!" "Damn, that assassin is ruthless!" In the darkness, voices chimed in, and the Squad Leader counted based on the responses; there were still eleven people left. "Damn it! This guy is really something; in the blink of an eye, seven brothers have already lost their lives!" The Squad Leader gritted his teeth and cursed, "But no matter how powerful he is, he should have been shot dead by our barrage! Now, is there anyone willing to go check if that assassin is dead?" 0

No one answered him. These Taiwan Soldiers were no fools; they had just seen seven brothers fall in an instant. Who would want to provoke such a formidable assassin? In this day and age, being a soldier was just a relatively pleasant job that could bring some benefits. Did anyone really want to risk their life for someone else? If they got killed, they wouldn't even have their names inscribed on the People's Hero Monument. Even if they did get inscribed, their girlfriend or wife back home wouldn't be able to sleep with the name on the monument. So it was better to keep their lives; what good was being a hero? If they died, they'd just end up with a green hat on their heads. Thus, everyone shared a common wish at that moment: they really hoped some foolish hero would step up and say to the Squad Leader, "I'll go!" Then everyone would be relieved. 0

But the outcome was often disappointing; after a long pause, no one spoke up, including the Squad Leader himself. He usually thought these guys were pretty silly, but at this critical moment, they were all surprisingly shrewd! They were so clever that they could squeeze two ounces of oil from a fart! Since no one was willing to demonstrate brave revolutionary sacrifice, they had to adopt a fair approach: everyone would go together to see if the assassin had been killed. The Squad Leader ordered, "Since no one is willing to take the lead, let's all go over together and see if we managed to take down that assassin!" 0

"Squad Leader, judging by the gunfire earlier, it seems there might be more than one assassin—at least two or more. If we rush over like this and they're not dead..." a soldier expressed his concern. 0

"Damn it! What else can we do? We can't just sit here waiting! The main force definitely heard that gunfire and will speed up their approach to surround us at the top of the mountain," said the Squad Leader. "If by chance we’ve already killed the assassin but are still hiding here afraid to move, then we won’t get any credit when the main force arrives! What are we afraid of? Losing our lives is just like getting a scar on a bowl! Besides, we still have eleven people; are we really scared of one or two assassins?" 0

Although his words sounded bold and heroic, inside the Squad Leader's heart was still racing. The remaining eleven men held their guns tightly but dared not turn on their flashlights as they cautiously made their way toward where the gunfire had come from. In fact, Xin Yi and Roxy were not far behind a large tree from that spot. Xin Yi's keen hearing had already picked up on the movements of those Taiwan Soldiers in the howling wind. She whispered to Roxy, "The Taiwan Soldiers are coming over; don't shoot yet. Watch me—I’ll take care of them with my throwing knives!" After saying that, she pulled Roxy aside and moved to an upwind position because throwing knives differ from bullets; due to launch force and knife size, they can easily lose accuracy in strong winds. Only by launching them from an upwind position could she ensure their accuracy under such harsh conditions. 0

The Taiwan Soldiers had crept within about ten steps of their target when they all suddenly stopped. Suddenly, several flashlights turned on simultaneously, blinding beams shooting toward that spot. Everyone's eyes widened in anticipation; however, regrettably for them, what they hoped to see—a corpse of an assassin—was absent from the ground; there wasn't even a trace left behind. Seeing this scene made everyone's hearts sink as they quickly swept their flashlights around while preparing their guns for immediate firing. Just as the Taiwan Soldiers turned on their flashlights, Xin Yi had already launched six throwing knives from her hands like six white ribbons flying swiftly through the air. The force of her throw combined with the wind helped propel them faster than bullets. In an instant, they reached those Taiwan Soldiers before they could react; amidst the beams of powerful flashlights came several white streaks. Before those Taiwan Soldiers could comprehend what was happening, each knife found its target with chilling precision—"Thud thud thud..." The sound of sharp weapons piercing flesh was hauntingly vivid; only those struck by the knives could hear or feel it—the terrifying sound became the last thing they heard before becoming loyal followers of the great leader and joining Comrade Old Ma in revolution. 0

In a flurry of panic among the Taiwan Soldiers who were still alive, they hurriedly turned off their powerful flashlights as before in hopes of escaping death. However, in their confusion, they failed to turn off the flashlight lying on the ground and thus remained pitifully exposed in its light—targets for Xin Yi's deadly aim. Since throwing knives made no sound or sparks upon release, the remaining Taiwan Soldiers couldn't accurately determine Xin Yi's location and could only fire wildly in roughly her direction. But Xin Yi wouldn’t let them live any longer; every additional kill meant another victory for her. Thus she continued launching throwing knives until all those Taiwan Soldiers lay dead in pools of blood. At that moment, Xin Yi truly became a killing machine; she killed eleven Taiwan Soldiers without even blinking an eye—her entire being radiated an icy aura so fierce it felt like shards of ice could fall from her presence. Even Roxy beside her felt chilled by this murderous energy and couldn't help but shiver. 0

A small squad of Taiwan Soldiers was completely wiped out—only two unaccompanied hunting dogs remained who yelped in fright before scampering down the mountain with their tails between their legs. Xin Yi and Roxy tidied up the battlefield and collected all the powerful flashlights and rifles left behind by the Taiwan Soldiers—a total of seventeen flashlights and eighteen rifles. Since they had decided to fight to the death against the Taiwan Soldiers, having these supplies would allow them to claim even more lives. 0

Xin Yi and Roxy moved all the powerful flashlights and rifles to a side of the mountain where they could ascend. Xin Yi instructed Roxy to secure all the powerful flashlights onto branches so that their beams illuminated paths leading up from below while both hid behind a large rock with collected rifles and magazines lined up beside them—at least several hundred rounds of ammunition ready at hand. Unfortunately for them, none of these Taiwan Soldiers had brought grenades; otherwise, it would have been possible to stage an earth-shattering battle right there as they sat quietly waiting for the main force of Taiwan Soldiers to approach near the mountaintop. 0
