Xin Yi saw the two scantily clad women rushing towards him and initially thought they were Jiao Xinmou's mistresses. It wasn't until he noticed the chaotic look in their eyes and the burning desire radiating from them that he realized they had been drugged with a potent aphrodisiac. He quickly withdrew his hand, but the two women took advantage of this moment, one on each side, wrapping around him tightly. Without a word, they began to unbutton his clothes. The once weak women were surprisingly strong under the influence of the drug, and Xin Yi found himself unable to break free. 0

At that moment, Jiao Xinmou saw the two women clinging to Xin Yi like they were insane. He pushed away the woman in his grasp and kicked her hard on her perky backside. The third woman stumbled towards Xin Yi, giving Jiao Xinmou a chance to escape into the living room. In his living room, there was a 5.45mm caliber self-defense pistol on the coffee table. At that moment, he felt he needed a weapon for safety. Although Jiao Xinmou was still unclear about the true intentions of the young man who had suddenly barged into his house, he was certain that this person was no good. Having spent his life as a head of intelligence, he could read people quite accurately. From the first moment he saw Xin Yi, despite his smiling face, Jiao Xinmou sensed a chilling aura of lethal intent emanating from him. This person was definitely not a common criminal; he was here for something far more serious than money or lust—he was here for revenge. Therefore, after grabbing the self-defense pistol, Jiao Xinmou did not return to the dining room to shoot at Xin Yi, but instead turned and headed upstairs where he had more secure safety measures. 0

Meanwhile, in the dining room, Xin Yi found himself entangled by three scantily clad women who wrapped around him like giant octopuses, tearing at his clothes in several places. One woman even unzipped his pants and buried her head inside. If he couldn't escape from these three women soon, it seemed likely that his reputation would be ruined today. The world’s Top Assassin was actually unable to shake off the threat posed by three women trying to assault him; if word got out, Xin Yi would never be able to show his face again. Therefore, after finally freeing his arms from their grasp, he swiftly transformed his palm into a blade and struck at the necks of the three women with precision. They finally stopped their entanglement and collapsed onto the floor. Looking at the three lifeless bodies sprawled on the ground, even Xin Yi felt a chill run down his spine. Did that old bastard Jiao Xinmou want to commit suicide? With how fierce these three women were under the influence of drugs, could Jiao Xinmou's old body withstand it? If only he had waited until after Xin Yi was exhausted before entering; it would have saved him so much trouble. 0

Having freed himself from the three women's grasp, Xin Yi dashed into the living room only to see Jiao Xinmou running upstairs. He had already reached the corner of the first flight of stairs when he turned around and saw Xin Yi chasing after him, prompting him to quicken his pace up the stairs. Noticing that Jiao Xinmou had a gun in hand but hadn't taken advantage of his entanglement to kill him made Xin Yi realize that there must be even more powerful weapons or defenses waiting for him upstairs. This old spy was cunning; he couldn't let him pull any more tricks. Thus, Xin Yi took a few steps back and leaped into action, using his toes to push off from a grandfather clock in the corner of the living room and vaulting up to the landing of the staircase just as Jiao Xinmou slipped around into the corridor on the second floor. 0

Without hesitation, Xin Yi pursued him up the stairs. As soon as he reached the second-floor corridor, he saw that Jiao Xinmou had already darted into a room at the end of the hallway and was closing the door behind him. Unsure if there was something unusual about that door's lock, Xin Yi knew he couldn't let it close; otherwise, if he had to break it down later, it would create noise and attract unwanted attention from guards at Yin-Yang Mountain. With a swift motion, he threw a flying knife that lodged itself in the door just as it was about to close. 0

Inside, hearing that door still ajar made Jiao Xinmou realize that Xin Yi would likely kick it open next. He knew there wasn't enough time to remove the knife and shut it completely; instead, he lunged towards a desk and pressed a hidden button behind it. 0

After pressing the button, Jiao Xinmou immediately turned back and fired two shots at the door to delay Xin Yi's entry into the room. He then opened one of the desk drawers and pulled out another handgun. True to form as an old fox, this move was meant to distract Xin Yi, making him think that Jiao Xinmou had come upstairs merely for weapons while concealing what really mattered—the hidden button leading directly to reinforcements from Yin-Yang Mountain. If he could buy just a little more time, a large number of guards would arrive soon enough; by then, even if Xin Yi sprouted wings, escape would be impossible. 0

The two shots fired by Jiao Xinmou indeed served their purpose in delaying Xin Yi. Hearing gunfire made him quickly sidestep for cover; however, his forward momentum did not stop as he pressed against the wall of the corridor while pulling out two throwing knives from his pocket. When executing assassination missions like this one, he typically didn't carry firearms due to their loud noise which could easily expose him after eliminating targets; cold weapons could kill silently without drawing attention. As he reached near the door's edge, Xin Yi suddenly kicked it open and rolled inside. 0

However, as soon as he rolled into the room, he sensed something was off; out of his peripheral vision, he caught sight of a pale figure behind the door just before hearing a gunshot ring out. A sharp pain shot through his left calf—he realized he'd been hit—but more importantly, this was a life-or-death moment. Ignoring the intense pain radiating from his leg during one last roll, he exerted all his strength and leaped towards the desk while simultaneously launching one of his throwing knives toward where he'd seen that figure move. 0

He didn't know where exactly it would hit Jiao Xinmou, but as long as it could prevent him from firing again, there remained hope for survival because right now he was airborne with no way to dodge incoming bullets; if given another chance to shoot at him again, being hit would surely be far worse than just in his calf. Little did Xin Yi expect this assassination mission would leave him injured; over ten years he'd executed numerous missions against targets far more cunning than Jiao Xinmou, yet he'd never felt so passive before. 0

The reason why this operation had turned passive stemmed from not conducting thorough analysis on target individuals beforehand; driven by vengeance for his parents' deaths, all Xin Yi knew about was who Jiao Xinmou was and where he could be found—he rushed in without hesitation. His plan had been to subdue Jiao Xinmou, extract information about past events possibly involving other masterminds unknown even to Cao Borin, then kill him for revenge against both his parents and those comrades lost in Phantom Banner's destruction. However, what caught him off guard was how those three women had been drugged by Jiao Xinmou, desperately clinging onto him and buying time for his escape so that he could arm himself and retreat into this room. 0

After retreating inside this room, Jiao Xinmou, based on where he'd fired those two shots from earlier, Xin Yi deduced that he must be just meters away from behind that door. Following this logic, Xin Yi charged in with plans to control him immediately upon entry; however, Jiao Xinmou, being crafty as ever, Jiao Xinmou, quickly ducked behind it after firing shots unexpectedly shooting at him when rolling inside. 0

Despite enduring excruciating pain in his left calf, Xin Yi, leaping behind cover at last managed to throw out one knife mid-air—everything transpired within mere seconds. Jiao Xinmou's shooting speed indeed faltered slightly but only by two or three seconds before gunfire erupted once more; fortunately, Xin Yi successfully hid behind cover at last. 0

Peeking over from behind cover provided by desk, Xin Yi caught sight of how, Jiao Xinmou, using one hand holding onto gun pressed against right chest area revealed that earlier thrown knife had struck true hitting right chest area—its blade fully embedded leaving only handle visible while blood flowed across exposed skin creating an alarming sight. Jiao Xinmou's right hand still aimed toward direction where hiding behind desk continued firing bullets. 0

Now, Xin Yi abandoned thoughts of capturing, Jiao Xinmou, forcing confession regarding crimes committed since entering this room, Jiao Xinmou's firing multiple rounds already alerted nearby residents surely someone notified guards stationed at Yin-Yang Mountain. Now failing act decisively meant losing opportunity altogether—even if managed eliminate, Jiao Xinmou, chances escaping unscathed seemed slim especially since left calf injury limited mobility significantly—thus swift resolution became imperative. 0

Thinking of this, Xin Yi took two flying knives in hand, preparing to seize the opportunity to shoot and kill Jiao Xinmou. However, it seemed that Jiao Xinmou was aware of Xin Yi's intentions; he lowered his left hand, which was covering his right chest, and raised both hands with guns, wildly shooting while retreating towards the door. The bullets from the two guns prevented Xin Yi from even raising his head, let alone throwing the flying knives. He could only helplessly listen to the gunfire as it moved outside the room, followed by hurried footsteps running down the corridor. 0

Damn it! Xin Yi couldn't help but curse; that old bastard was indeed more cunning than a fox. He understood that even with a gun in hand, he had no confidence in killing Xin Yi, so he chose to escape and hide to buy time. As long as he waited for reinforcements to arrive, he would win. 0

Although Xin Yi knew that continuing to entangle would be very unfavorable for him—the longer it dragged on, the greater the chance that the Yin-Yang Mountain guards would be alerted—making his own retreat increasingly difficult. However, seeing his enemy right in front of him, how could he just watch as his foe escaped? Gritting his teeth, Xin Yi straightened up and chased after him. 0

Jiao Xinmou was running downstairs; he wanted to burst out of the house. There would definitely be Yin-Yang Mountain guards patrolling outside, and as long as he could get out, there was hope for survival. Thus, Jiao Xinmou, completely naked with a flying knife still embedded in his right chest, charged down the stairs like a crazed boar towards the living room's front door. At this moment, Xin Yi was still on the second-floor corridor; the injury to his left calf hindered his movement, and at such a distance, throwing a flying knife was clearly beyond his capability. He watched as Jiao Xinmou was about to burst through the living room's front door. 0

Just then, the front door of the living room was suddenly slammed open from the outside, followed by two gunshots. Jiao Xinmou screamed and rolled onto the floor as both handguns fell from his hands... 0
