When Xin Yi and Shen Shanshan returned to the Shen Family, Mixed-Race Beauty Roxy was surprisingly still living in Shen Shanshan's home. Upon seeing the two return, she sincerely apologized, explaining that she had gone to a bar alone out of boredom that night. However, she ended up getting drunk after just one drink. During that time, a young foreign man had approached her and even lent her his phone to make a call. Xin Yi remained noncommittal about Roxy's words; he simply replied lightly that as long as everyone was okay, that was enough. However, for a long time afterward, Roxy no longer mentioned returning to Lusang Nation. Later, when Shen Shanshan asked her about it, Roxy said she had grown increasingly fond of Heavenly Pride and planned to stay for a while to find a job there before considering returning to Lusang. As a result, Xin Yi arranged for her to work at Three Tiger Group, specifically handling import and export trade between Three Tiger Group and Lusang Nation.
With the merger of the entire Binhai gang, Three Tiger Group had expanded its scale several times over. Its headquarters remained in Longchuan, with branches established in every region. Due to the vast expansion, the original personnel of Beng Hu Lian were no longer sufficient for the security needs of Three Tiger Group across Binhai. Therefore, Xin Yi invited Xu Maogong, who had been living at Xin Manor and playing chess with Xin Shengtian all day, to come over. He asked Xu Maogong to work with Qin Dali, Zhong Kai, Topology, Summer Wind, and others to recruit and train new members for Beng Hu Lian. After some effort from the group, Beng Hu Lian's numbers increased from around one hundred to five hundred. This personnel configuration exceeded that of a battalion; thus, Xu Maogong divided the five hundred into two battalions: the first battalion with two hundred members consisting of one hundred original brothers from Beng Hu Lian and one hundred outstanding recruits from the new additions. The training regimen for the first battalion followed military standards akin to special forces training. The second battalion consisted entirely of new recruits selected this time around, focusing mainly on free fighting and urban warfare, with firearms training being secondary. Xin Yi understood Xu Maogong's purpose in this division: the first battalion was reserved for warfare soldiers while the second battalion would handle security tasks for Three Tiger Group. It seemed Xu Maogong was thinking long-term and had already made plans for Xin Yi's future.
Such a large team would be hard to hide completely; however, Xu Maogong suggested that Xin Yi register a security company under which they could organize and train this team. This process went smoothly since establishing a security company typically involved complicated scrutiny from law enforcement. Fortunately, Xin Yi had old friends Lu Jianming and Wang Wei at the police department overseeing things, making it relatively simple. Lu Jianming told Xin Yi: "Xin Yi, I don't want to say much more; I'm sure you understand this saying: A man should know when to act and when not to act—keep your direction clear!" Wang Wei also advised him: "Bros, don’t get me into trouble!" Thus, this matter was settled. Xin Yi purchased land in the suburbs where he built two buildings and a large training ground that served as both the office for the security company and the training base for the team. The security company retained its name: Binhai Benhu Security Company; however, Beng Hu Lian was no longer an accurate title for it anymore. It was upgraded to Beng Hu Company and Beng Hu Second Battalion with Qin Dali as Camp Commander for the first battalion and Zhong Kai as Camp Commander for the second battalion. Topology served as the knife techniques instructor for the first battalion while Summer Wind took on that role for the second battalion. Xu Maogong acted as Chief of Staff and strategist; even Big Bull held a leadership position as Military Discipline Officer—responsible for handling any disciplinary issues within the camp. Despite his usual carefree demeanor, once he took on this role, he became serious and stern within the camp environment.
In fact, Benhu Security Company did not take on external contracts but only handled internal security contracts from Three Tiger Group’s finances. A company needed some business revenue to operate; otherwise, it wouldn’t pass muster with industry regulators. Since Three Tiger Group unified Binhai’s underworld forces, few dared to provoke them anymore.
Previously, aside from investments made by Three Tiger Group’s investment company, most of its operations were running on reserves without significant income while supporting many brothers within the group incurred substantial expenses. However, after enduring through this period of adjustment coupled with newly acquired assets, Three Tiger Group began turning a profit—though modestly—enough that they could sustain themselves without Xin Yi having to continuously pour money into it like an endless pit. Huang Mang was quite pleased about this development; after so long of struggling as chairman, he could finally fulfill his role properly.
Shu Rui and Shen Shanshan’s relationship grew stronger day by day; these two girls seemed to have reached some secret agreement as they frequently gathered together along with Roxy and Lu Hanmeng who had officially transferred to the Criminal Police Team now. The young women were up to something mysterious; whenever Xin Yi asked any of them about it, they all wore infuriating expressions of secrecy. During this time, Xin Yi was busy merging Binhai’s gangs and strengthening Three Tiger Group while also establishing Benhu Security Company. When he finally found some free time, he realized it had been quite a while since he last saw Shu Rui or Shen Shanshan—and neither girl had reached out during this period either. This situation felt unusual; especially Shen Shanshan who used to call him if they hadn’t seen each other for even one day.
Since Shu Rui and Shen Shanshan’s relationship no longer caused discomfort due to each other's presence, Xin Yi decided there was no need for him to avoid anything further; his relationship with Shen Shanshan had been clarified through their experiences together—they both understood they couldn’t do without each other now. Although his relationship with Shu Rui hadn’t reached that level yet, he sensed that Shu Rui might have known from the beginning about his connections with Lijie and Shen Shanshan without showing much concern about it all along—leaving him puzzled about her true feelings towards him; perhaps she regarded him merely as a worthy confidant.
Xin Yi wanted to gather both women together for a meal mainly to inform them that everything in Longchuan had stabilized significantly now—with Huang Mang and other experienced leaders managing Three Tiger Group—there was no need for concern regarding their hold over Binhai territory anymore. As for Beng Hu Camp now under Qin Dali and Xu Maogong’s leadership—it likely wouldn’t encounter any issues either. Thus Xin Yi thought about taking a trip to Taiwan—to scout opportunities suitable for Three Tiger Group’s development while also gaining experience support for future actions—though he couldn’t disclose everything just yet since he feared revealing too much might worry them.
First off, Xin Yi called Shen Shanshan to confirm their meeting time and place before calling Shu Rui next. As soon as Shu Rui picked up her phone she teased him: “What’s up? Boss Xin.”
Surprisingly enough—the previously icy beauty Shu Rui now joked with him! Xin Yi couldn’t help but chuckle: “President Shu! Don’t tease me! If I’m considered Boss then you must be Heavenly Pride’s richest woman! Let’s not forget you’re feeding me here at Three Tiger Group!”
“It’s been so long since you called me—I thought you forgot my number! So what is it? Are you inviting me out for dinner?” Shu Rui asked.
“Right! How did you guess? I wonder if busy President Shu has time?” Xin Yi replied playfully mimicking Shu Rui's tone.
"After calling Shanshan, I just remembered to call you. It seems like I'm closer to Shanshan," Shu Rui said with a hint of jealousy on the other end of the line. Xin Yi was about to say something when she suddenly heard a girl's light laughter, followed by Shen Shanshan's voice saying, "Sister Shu, you aren't jealous, are you..."
It turned out that Shu Rui and Shen Shanshan were together. From the tone, it seemed they had reached a level of intimacy where they could talk about anything. Xin Yi couldn't help but feel embarrassed. After hastily saying a few words, she hung up the phone. Women are truly hard to understand; one moment they are heartbroken over another woman, and the next they are closer than sisters. It's really puzzling. Well, as the saying goes, let things take their course.
It wasn't until dinner that Xin Yi found out that besides Shen Shanshan and Shu Rui, Roxy and Lu Hanmeng had also come along. Since Roxy lived at Shen Shanshan's house, it wasn't surprising for her to be invited. But why was Lu Hanmeng here? They didn't seem very familiar with each other. Noticing Lu Hanmeng looked a bit awkward, Xin Yi quickly said, "So... Director Lu, how have you been lately?" Only after speaking did she realize she wasn't sure how to address her. Given her relationship with Lu Jianming, calling her Little Lu wouldn't be inappropriate, but they were only a few years apart in age. Moreover, she didn't want to seem so old. However, calling her Hanmeng felt too intimate since they weren't that close yet.
Fortunately, Shu Rui was perceptive. She grabbed Lu Hanmeng's hand and shot Xin Yi a look, saying, "How can you not even know how to address someone? Hanmeng is my good sister; you can just call her Hanmeng from now on. Come on, Hanmeng, let's sit down and ignore him." Shen Shanshan nearby only covered her mouth and giggled at Shu Rui's words, making Xin Yi feel embarrassed as he scratched his head and said, "President Shu is right; I'll call you Hanmeng from now on. Now then, everyone take a seat."
Thus, the four women and one man gathered around a table to start eating. Fortunately, Xin Yi had booked a private room this time; otherwise, having four beautiful women dining with him might have led to some unexpected situations. In this day and age, there are too many incidents of seeking attention because of beautiful women.
