"Can we start now?" Little Kobe asked anxiously, clearly looking forward to the duel between the two masters. 0

"Xin, let's go to the lawn outside," Topology said to Xin Yi. 0

"Okay," Xin Yi nodded in response, and the two walked side by side towards the hall's entrance. Upon seeing this, Little Kobe hurriedly followed them outside, with Thomas trailing behind him in a similar hurry. 0

The lawn outside the villa was brightly lit, resembling daylight. Xin Yi and Topology stood in the middle of the lawn, about ten feet apart. Topology maintained his usual posture, placing his right hand over his left chest and bowing deeply to Xin Yi, showing respect for his opponent. Xin Yi returned the gesture in kind. 0

Both of them wore serious expressions. Although Topology was known as the Arabian Nation's Fastest Blade Master, he approached every battle with full commitment, which was a responsibility to himself and a respect for his opponent. Xin Yi had practiced swordsmanship before, but facing such a powerful opponent for the first time required his full concentration. Time seemed to freeze as they stood still, staring at each other without moving. Little Kobe and Thomas were puzzled; what were these two doing? Could they really determine a winner just by standing there? 0

Finally, it was Xin Yi who decided to strike first. He placed his right hand on the hilt of his sword and pressed down with his left thumb on a spring. The long sword sprang out with a "clang," and Xin Yi swiftly drew it, unleashing a beam of blue cold light. He stepped forward lightly and executed a flourish with his sword, darting towards Topology, completely enveloping Topology's upper body with his blade. 0

Topology's right hand rested on the hilt of his curved dagger at his waist; he had not yet drawn it. He was waiting for the right moment. As Xin Yi's long sword came within less than a foot of him, there was a "clang," and Topology's right hand suddenly held a gleaming curved dagger. After drawing it, he angled it toward Xin Yi's long sword in an unusual arc. He anticipated that Xin Yi would not dare to clash directly with his dagger, so this move was actually a feint; the real target was Xin Yi's throat! Truly, as the Arabian Nation's Fastest Blade Master, when he struck, it was a lethal move aimed at taking a life! 0

Seeing that his long sword had already covered Topology's upper body, Xin Yi suddenly felt a flash of cold light as Topology's dagger came straight at him. Of course, Xin Yi would not engage directly with Topology's dagger; he quickly redirected his sword toward Topology's left shoulder. However, Topology's dagger seemed to have anticipated this move and did not entangle itself with Xin Yi’s sword. Instead, it swiftly turned upward toward Xin Yi’s throat. In desperation, Xin Yi leaned back to avoid the deadly blade aimed at his throat but felt a sharp pain as Topology’s dagger grazed his left shoulder, causing flesh to tear and blood to gush forth. 0

Yet Topology did not pause; after slicing through Xin Yi’s shoulder, he swiftly turned again and aimed for Xin Yi’s abdomen. At this point, Xin Yi could no longer focus on attacking; he endured the intense pain in his shoulder and retreated several steps while executing a defensive flourish to protect his upper body. But while Xin Yi moved quickly, Topology moved even faster. As Xin Yi retreated, Topology followed closely behind him, creating a flurry of blade shadows aimed directly at Xin Yi’s chest. With no way to evade further, Xin Yi could only forcefully use his long sword to block Topology’s dagger. The clash produced a loud metallic sound as Xin Yi felt numbness in his hands and struggled to maintain grip on the hilt... 0

In that split second, Xin Yi realized that defeating Topology in swordsmanship was nearly impossible; Topology’s strikes were too swift and powerful. The only option left was to risk everything for survival. With this thought in mind, Xin Yi steeled himself and pretended to lose grip on his long sword; it slipped from his hands and stabbed into the wall behind him. At that moment, he leaned forward sharply so that his right chest met Topology’s dagger head-on. A sickening sound echoed as the blade pierced deep into Xin Yi’s right chest... 0

But Topology did not move again because he could not afford to move anymore—or rather, he dared not move—because Xin Yi’s left hand held a thin blade pressed against his throat. By blocking Topology’s attack with his own right chest, Xin Yi had managed to position the thin blade against Topology’s throat! 0

Topology sighed and said, "Xin, I admit defeat." 0

Topology accepted his loss wholeheartedly. Although his swordsmanship was extraordinary and despite having inflicted two wounds on Xin Yi—who now appeared pale and unsteady—he knew that if death were the ultimate goal of their duel, he had lost. He understood that if Xin Yi had intended to kill him just moments ago with that thin blade, it would have been easy for him to do so. Thus, the final outcome of their contest was that while Xin Yi was gravely injured, Topology would have been dead; therefore, without question, Topology had lost. 0

"Ha ha, we all lost," Xin Yi said weakly, pulling at the corner of his mouth. The thin blade pressed against Topology's throat was released, and he glanced at the stunned Little Kobe and Thomas beside him, saying, "They won. They put on a spectacular show." 0

Topology's curved knife was still embedded in Xin Yi's right chest. He didn't dare to pull it out all at once, fearing that Xin Yi would bleed out too quickly. In Topology's heart, he had already regarded Xin Yi as his best friend; only someone like him was worthy of being his friend. Looking at Xin Yi's pale face, Topology shouted at the dazed Little Kobe, "Why aren't you calling for a doctor yet!" 0

"Tell Little Kobe to let go of my fiancée. Her name is Lijie," Xin Yi said, looking at the nearly enraged Topology. He suddenly felt that he could trust him. If he were to die just like this, based on what he had just said, Topology would surely find a way to release Lijie. 0

"Enough! Don't talk anymore!" Topology shouted loudly at Xin Yi while stepping forward to support the already swaying Xin Yi... 0

Little Kobe and Thomas finally snapped back to reality under Topology's roar. Little Kobe hurriedly told Thomas to call a doctor while he and Topology helped carry Xin Yi toward the hall. At this point, Xin Yi was completely soaked in blood; the wounds on his left shoulder and right chest were gushing blood like springs... His face grew paler, and his body temperature dropped lower and lower until finally, Xin Yi's head tilted, and he slumped weakly against Topology... 0

... 0

Lijie's chest suddenly twisted in pain, an unsettling feeling washing over her entire body. She had no idea how long she had been locked up in this place; based on the frequency of her meals, it had been almost a month. She didn't know why she was here. That night, after finding an underground passage from the parking garage of the council building, she followed it to another underground parking lot. Just as she opened the door to walk out, she felt as if she had been electrocuted and fainted. When she woke up, she was already in this room. Aside from receiving meals through a small window on time, she hadn't seen anyone else and had no idea where she was now. However, she was certain that it was related to her goal this time—Kobe Bryant of the Black K Party. What puzzled her was that since the Black K Party had captured her, why hadn't they interrogated or simply killed her? 0

Lijie wasn't afraid of death; from the day she became an assassin, she knew that sooner or later someone would kill her. Now all she could do was miss Xin Yi, the person she once hated but fell deeply in love with without hesitation. If he knew she was dead, would he be heartbroken? Lijie's answer to herself was affirmative; she believed that Xin Yi loved her too. He had once told her that once his parents' matters were settled, she would be his wife. She looked forward to the day when she could be his wife, but now her life hung in the balance, and she didn't know if that day would ever come. If she were to die this time, she hoped that Xin Yi could find happiness again—like that girl named Shen Shanshan whom she saw at Xin Yi's Farm; she seemed like a good choice. Thinking of this made Lijie smile through her tears. "Xin Yi, I wish you happiness!" 0

Shen Shanshan had been feeling restless these past few days. Ever since Xin Yi left her house that day, he hadn't shown up again. His phone always seemed to be out of service area when she tried calling him. Shen Shanshan even went to Xin Yi's Farm to look for him but only saw the giant Big Bull there. Big Bull said that Xin Yi had rushed abroad as if he were looking for someone; he wasn't very clear about the details but promised Shen Shanshan that he would let her know when Xin Yi returned. 0

Back home, Shen Shanshan couldn't stop overthinking. Why did he suddenly go abroad? Who was he looking for? Was it a man or a woman? Why didn't he even say goodbye? Was the person he was looking for more important than her? While lost in thought, the teacup in her hand slipped and shattered on the floor, startling her into jumping up... 0

The Junxing Group's investment project in Zhongjiang had entered the demolition preparation stage, and there were a lot of things waiting for Shu Rui to handle. During this time, she was busy like a clock wound too tightly, spinning around the company's business without pause. This made her life feel more fulfilling and gave her less time to think about that sentimental man. Although Shu Rui knew that Xin Yi had special relationships with two other women and claimed to Shu Junxing that she didn't care about it, deep down she believed in herself and trusted that Xin Yi would make a choice that wouldn't disappoint her. If his choice wasn't her, she'd withdraw without complaint; however, she couldn't deceive her own feelings. If Xin Yi ultimately chose someone else, she really didn't know what to do because throughout her life she'd only liked this one man—but this man was so charming that sometimes she hated him for attracting so many women’s affection! So Shu Rui could only fill herself with endless work to keep herself occupied and maintain a woman's proper reserve by not actively seeking him out while giving him enough space to choose. 0

One day during a meeting about the demolition compensation plan for Zhongjiang's land project at the company, Shu Rui held a pencil in hand while listening to various executives' proposals and taking notes on the meeting minutes when suddenly the pencil lead snapped with a "pop." Shu Rui felt a twitch in her right eyelid and suddenly became restless; she hastily concluded the meeting and rushed straight to her office. 0

After arriving at the office, she picked up the phone and skillfully dialed the number she had agonized over countless times in her mind. "Sorry, the number you have dialed is not in service..." The phone slipped from her hand without her noticing. Xin Yi, where have you gone? Couldn't you at least tell me so I wouldn't worry? 0
