Hearing Li Nan's explanation, Liu Ziming was reassured that he was fine.
At the elevator entrance, Zhang Li and Han Guang noticed that Li Nan had regained consciousness and also felt relieved.
Liu Ziming said to Li Nan, "The elevator broke down, so we can't get out this time either!"

Seeing this, Liu Ziming helped Li Nan towards the elevator shaft.
Zhang Li saw Li Nan and gently patted him on the shoulder. "Hang in there, brother!"

Li Xiaofan was taken aback by this statement. "We want to get out, not get further stuck. How does going down make sense?"
Zhang Li also found it hard to believe, but after thinking it over, he realized that Li Nan had a point. Their only hope now rested on this Freight Elevator, and since it was at Underground Level Two, they should follow it down; perhaps they would make unexpected discoveries.

The distance between the first underground level and Underground Level Two wasn't great, and there was an elevator below them, making the straight distance quite short. As Li Nan pondered this, a sudden thought struck him. Who said this underground space was just a Morgue? On the other side of Mortuary One was a Medical Equipment Storage Room!
With his thoughts opened up, Li Nan came up with a plan. He remembered that there was an X-ray contact therapy machine in that Medical Equipment Storage Room. Although it had reached its service life, the machine could still operate normally, which would be perfect for their needs.
Li Nan shouted down the elevator shaft to Zhang Li, "Captain Zhang, come up! I have a plan!"
Upon hearing that Li Nan had a solution, Zhang Li immediately jumped up from the elevator's top cover and asked Li Nan, "What method do you have to break that elevator's top cover?"
Li Nan chuckled, "I have my own clever tricks!"
