In the internal testing area of an International Large Pharmaceutical Company, a staff member dressed in protective gear operated a robotic arm outside a sterile isolation laboratory, injecting a white medication of only 0.1 milligrams into a Mouse.
"Starting drug reaction experiment recording. Subject: three-month-old adult Mouse. Drug: W Virus. Dosage: 0.1 milligrams. Initial symptoms: none. Follow up on Experiment Record." A woman, guided by her own voice, kept her eyes fixed on the Mouse inside the laboratory while her right hand recorded the entire observation process in the Experiment Record manual.
After ten minutes of experimentation, the Mouse showed no abnormalities; it simply stared motionlessly at the figures outside the laboratory, seemingly with greed.
"Report to the supervisor, the Mouse's nerves may have been disrupted by the W Virus, so I suggest conducting a full-body nerve and muscle examination on the Mouse; we might discover the mechanism of action of the W Virus," the woman paused her writing and turned to speak.
In the large testing area, there were only two staff members in sterile protective suits: one was the woman recording the experiment, and the other was a man referred to as "the supervisor," who operated the CNC robotic arm.
"Compared to the mechanism of action of the W Virus, I am more concerned about its effects!" A stern voice emerged from within the protective suit, prompting the woman to fall silent.
The Experiment Record continued as she wrote: "Fifteen minutes into the experiment, the Mouse's eyes turned red, and red spots began to appear on its body. It exhibited signs of restlessness and irritability, occasionally bumping its body against the tempered glass of the isolation laboratory..." Upon reaching this point, she stopped writing and murmured, "What kind of virus is this W Virus? Why are these symptoms appearing? This is truly unprecedented!"
The supervisor did not show any signs of surprise; he simply pressed a red button with his right hand, causing white Liquid Nitrogen to spray into the sealed laboratory, instantly freezing the Mouse.
"Miss Yang, I cannot say much about this experiment; you should know that I am merely following orders!" The supervisor removed his protective headgear, revealing a weathered and aged face that could not hide his expression.
Miss Yang was taken aback; she was just an assistant for this experiment and had only heard about the W Virus for the first time. However, after witnessing the bizarre changes in the Mouse, she couldn't help but gasp and felt a deep sense of crisis. After glancing back at the now pulverized Mouse, Miss Yang discreetly left.
The supervisor's gaze remained fixed on the vaporized nitrogen inside the laboratory as a smile crept onto his lips. Just then, a voice suddenly came through his wireless earpiece.
"Report to the supervisor, the single-cell experiment in Experiment Area One has been successful."
"Report to the instructor, the Invertebrate Experiment in Test Zone Two has been successful."
"Report to the instructor, the Human Experimentation in Test Zone Four has been successful."
"Haha... finally succeeded, it was worth all my years of hard research!"
