"Diamond Absolute Love" has wrapped up filming. With the addition of International Superstar Augus and the buzz surrounding his on-screen couple partnership with Summer, the drama has been a hot topic since it began shooting. Director Chen Jianliang has skillfully leveraged this star power, not only promoting the film extensively during production but also holding a press conference after filming concluded to announce the release date and showcase a short trailer.
As the reporters below watched the trailer, they snapped photos of the main creative team on stage. Augus and Xinran stood at the center, continuously basking in the flashes, smiling and engaging with the media.
"Your girlfriend, it's been a month, right? Has the person you love deeply not returned from Japan yet?" Augus maintained his smile, wrapping an arm around Xinran's waist and seemingly casually whispering in her ear.
"Thanks for your concern. You know it's been a month, so what about that promise you made to me?" Xinran shot Augus a glare and leaned closer to his ear.
"I really want to keep my promises, but if news of our breakup were to leak now, what do you think would happen?" Augus tightened his embrace slightly, speaking deliberately.
To avoid being noticed by the paparazzi below, Xinran had no choice but to allow Augus to hold her. However, if she could, she would really like to bite him. This annoying man knew that any bad news released around the time of the show's wrap would affect its ratings, which is why he was deliberately putting her in this position. Yet she felt powerless against his manipulation and could only go along with whatever he said.
Augus was actually a very clever man. While he suppressed any thoughts of ending their fake relationship contract, he also subtly cared about her feelings for Zhong Si. The staff intended for the reporters to focus on topics related to the series, but once Augus and Xinran appeared, it was clear that the reporters' attention had shifted to their relationship. How about this: why don’t you help me ask Summer if she’s willing to marry me?" Augus suddenly flashed a strange smile, responding playfully to the reporters' questions.
"Augus, stop joking around!" Under the crowd's teasing, Xinran's face turned bright red. She tugged at Augus's sleeve from behind and whispered.
"It seems Summer isn't very eager to marry me!" Augus ignored Xinran's warning and sighed.
Thus, the media began another round of teasing. In the end, Xinran had no choice but to compromise, promising that if she saw an engagement ring and Augus personally knelt down to propose, she would agree. Only then did the reporters finally let her off the hook...
Taking a deep breath, Xinran glared at the man beside her who seemed indifferent yet nearly caused her to choke on her own words. She wished she could beat him up out of frustration. Augus was always like this; he played however he wanted, and only someone exceptionally strong could handle him!
