"Illegal? What law am I breaking?"
My grandfather looked confused. "Ning Ning, if you don't want to help, that's fine. Why make up such a reason?"
"Grandpa is old, but he's not a fool."

I laughed.
My grandfather's inability to understand human language isn't just directed at me.

My mom couldn't stand it anymore and came over to explain to my grandfather: "Dad, Ning Ning has an interview; please don't disturb her."
"Interview? What's wrong with an interview?" My grandfather was unhappy: "My granddaughter has an interview; how can I help?"
"Go away, just go somewhere else and stop being a nuisance here."
