A City High School Canteen
Xu Yi sat in the canteen, but there was no tray on the table. Instead, he watched Bai Jinxi across from him gobbling down his food.
Bai Jinxi looked at Xu Yi not eating and just sitting there watching him. "Aren't you going to eat?"
Xu Yi shook his head and said, "I'm not eating."
Bai Jinxi asked, "Then why are you sitting here?"
Xu Yi gave Bai Jinxi a look and said, "Didn't you pull me over here?"
Bai Jinxi laughed suddenly. "Haha, right." She picked up a bun from the plate and handed it to Xu Yi. "Here, have some."
Xu Yi looked at the bun and shook his head. "I'm not hungry."
"Why don't you eat?" Bai Jinxi asked curiously. "Aren't you hungry?"
"I'm not hungry," Xu Yi answered crisply. Bai Jinxi didn't force it and ate his buns in peace. After finishing the buns, he started drinking milk. Xu Yi watched Bai Jinxi eat and suddenly said, "Bai Jinxi, I find your eating style quite cute."
Bai Jinxi looked up and said to Xu Yi, "Is that so?"
Xu Yi nodded, "Yes, you're so cute I want to pinch your cheeks."
Bai Jinxi continued eating, letting Xu Yi pinch her cheeks. "Xu Yi, you're making me itchy."
Xu Yi let go of Bai Jinxi's hand and smiled, "Your face is really soft."
Bai Jinxi picked up the tray, "I'll go get some dessert." As she walked halfway, she turned and asked, "You really won't eat?"
Xu Yi still refused, and when Bai Jinxi came back with the dessert, she asked again, "You really won't eat?"
Xu Yi smiled, "I really won't eat, I already ate at home this morning."
Bai Jinxi suddenly became interested, "You already ate, what did you eat?"
Xu Yi suddenly felt guilty, "Just plain rice porridge and milk."
Bai Jinxi looked at Xu Yi with a guilty expression, and her curiosity grew stronger. "Hmm, your expression is off. Come clean with me."
Seeing Bai Jinxi determined to get an answer, Xu Yi had no choice but to confess about Jian Chen ordering takeout for himself.
"What? Your breakfast was ordered by Jian Chen?" Bai Jinxi exclaimed in surprise.
Xu Yi nodded, somewhat helpless, "Well, I didn't expect him to order takeout for me."
Bai Jinxi rubbed his chin, "Tsk tsk, Jian Chen is quite thoughtful. But why do you say it's ordinary?"
Xu Yi sighed, "The taste is just average."
Bai Jinxi smiled and said, "Do you believe me?"
Xu Yi looked at Bai Jinxi and replied, "Why wouldn't I believe you?"
Bai Jinxi raised an eyebrow smugly and said, "That was recommended by Jian Chen. Do you think it would taste just okay?"
Xu Yi furrowed his brow, blushing as he said, "Oh, it's fine, it's quite delicious, let's drop it!"
Bai Jinxi looked at Xu Yi's shy expression and couldn't help but laugh, "Haha, Xu Yi, you've fallen for it!"
Xu Yi asked in confusion, "Fallen for what?"
Bai Jinxi smiled and said, "Of course, it's falling into Love."
Xu Yi was taken aback, then blushed and glared at Bai Jinxi, "Hey, come on, just eat your dessert!"
Bai Jinxi looked at Xu Yi's reaction and became even more certain of her guess, "Okay, okay, I won't tease you anymore."
Xu Yi lowered her head and didn't say anything. She didn't know what was wrong with her. Every time the topic of Jian Chen came up, she felt very shy.
Seeing Xu Yi not speaking, Bai Jinxi said, "Let's go, I'm done eating. Let's go to the classroom." After speaking, Bai Jinxi picked up the tray and headed towards the recycling area. Xu Yi and Bai Jinxi left the cafeteria and walked towards the teaching building.
Along the way, Bai Jinxi chatted with Xu Yi, and Xu Yi occasionally responded. But whenever the topic of Jian Chen came up, Xu Yi avoided it and blushed, making herself unable to help but laugh.
