"Ha ha ha. I heard my niece is back. I have to take a look," laughed Ye Wu as he entered the villa's hall with Little Four and Abiao, along with four or five other yellow-haired individuals, looking like ghosts.
As soon as Ye Xiaofei saw him, she felt an urge to pounce on him and tear his face apart. This guy was simply too despicable. Angrily, Ye Xiaofei turned her face away. Yingzi glanced at the smirking Ye Wu and coldly said, "You really have no decency, do you? Inviting yourself over—how interesting."
"Hey, you girl. You don't make any sense when you speak. This is also my home, don't forget. I share the surname Ye too. Even if that bastard Fei Hu has become the boss of the Dragon Tiger Gang, this villa has nothing to do with him. It has to do with me, so I can come and go as I please without needing anyone to invite me," Ye Wu replied, casting a glance at Ye Xiaofei.
Ye Xiaofei, having received a good education, quickly adjusted her mindset. She turned her face back and smiled slightly, saying, "So, are you here to collect rent or just to drop by? But let me tell you, Grandpa isn't here, and we have no one to entertain you." She spread her hands in a gesture of helplessness.

Ye Wu couldn't remain calm upon hearing this. Such a big matter—how could he not have been informed? He shot an angry glance at Little Four and Abiao. The two exchanged looks and shook their heads; it was evident that most people were unaware of Ye Wei's arrest.
"Is my niece joking? Your second uncle is the chairman of Sheng Wei, and Wang Qian is the Vice President. If these two are arrested, won't Sheng Wei be thrown into chaos? Such a big deal—there can't be any movement at all?" Ye Wu persisted; he wanted to extract some information from Ye Xiaofei's words but truly did not want to believe that Ye Wei had been arrested. After all, together they could still pose some threat to the old man.
Ye Xiaofei was incredibly clever. She snorted coldly and said, "Sorry to disappoint you; Shengwei Group hasn't fallen into chaos at all—in fact, it's doing better than ever. This afternoon they held a board meeting and dismissed Ye Wei from his position as chairman while drafting an agreement to reclaim his shares. A mere Wang Qian means nothing; if she manages to escape this time, it's just luck for her. However, she won't be able to return for the rest of her life; if she does come back, she'll just be waiting for prison." As she spoke these words, Ye Xiaofei deliberately raised her voice high.
Ye Wu could no longer hold himself together upon hearing this. He sat there foolishly, not saying a word. The arrogance he had just displayed vanished completely. This kind of person would not shed tears until they saw the Yellow River. It seemed that Ye Wei's arrest had indeed dealt him a significant blow.
"Boss Ye, grandpa and the others will be back soon. You know that tonight's guests are the Dragon Tiger Gang's Eight Elders, as well as the long-retired Teapot Lid and Brother Dong. If you think you can handle it, then just wait quietly here. However, as far as I know, you and Ye Wei were expelled from the Dragon Tiger Gang during the elder meeting the day before yesterday," Yingzi said halfway through.
Ye Wu stood up angrily, interrupting Yingzi and shouting, "If that old man is so vicious, then don't blame me for being rude!"
"Be sensible and leave quickly. When they arrive, your few followers will be killed," Yingzi exaggerated a bit. He knew that dealing with someone like Ye Wu required tough measures.
Ye Wu still tried to maintain his pride, but Little Four and Abiao were the first to feel scared. They had already experienced Fei Hu's power, and now with the legendary Teapot Lid and Eight Elders coming, it was a matter of life and death for them. Little Four trembled and whispered in Ye Wu's ear, "Let's go, Brother Tiger. Don't you have guests coming tonight?"
Things had developed to such a point that Ye Wu could only retreat. He was also afraid that if what Yingzi said was true, he would really be finished if those people came together. The Eight Elders and Teapot Lid wouldn't care who he was; their rules were enough to end him.
"Hmph. Tell that old fool that this matter is not over," Ye Wu said before leading his subordinates away in defeat.
As soon as Ye Wu left, Ye Xiaofei became furious. She shouted loudly, "What are you babysitters doing? I clearly set a password lock on the main door! Why didn't you use it?" The babysitters were somewhat frightened; this was the first time they had seen Ye Xiaofei so angry. As for the password lock, they didn't even know when it had stopped working.
"Sister Xiaofei, please don't be angry. Grandpa canceled the password lock because he needed to exercise in the yard every day. It was inconvenient to go in and out, so it was temporarily removed. So please don't stay mad. Besides, even if we locked the door, they would still knock and send someone to open it," Yingzi said with a smile towards Ye Xiaofei.
However, Ye Xiaofei was unconvinced. She walked over to the door, climbed inside, fiddled with it for a moment, and reset the password. Then she told everyone one by one and instructed them to remember it well.
Back in the room, Ye Xiaofei still wore an angry expression. Yingzi understood her feelings; it was about not being informed about Fei Hu. But this wasn't her fault; these matters were arranged by grandpa for her to handle.
The atmosphere in the room was somewhat awkward. After a while, Ye Xiaofei coldly asked Yingzi, "Did grandpa decide on Brother Fei becoming the leader of the Dragon Tiger Gang all by himself? Isn't he being a bit too arbitrary?" The displeasure in Ye Xiaofei finally erupted.
Yingzi sighed lightly and said, "Of course. The gang has its rules. The candidate for the leader must be approved by the Eight Elders and the various stewards. Fei Hu was recognized only after a thorough review by them. In this matter, Grandpa merely made a recommendation. Sister Xiaofei, don't you wish for Fei Hu to become the leader of the Dragon Tiger Gang?" Yingzi deliberately asked back.
"Whether he becomes the leader of the Dragon Tiger Gang has nothing to do with me. I was just asking casually. What I can't understand is that I am Grandpa's own grandchild, yet he refuses to tell me anything about what he does. I'm not even as good as that Fei Hu," Ye Xiaofei said, her eyes filled with tears. She was clearly angry at Fei Hu.
At that moment, the nanny brought the late-night snack into Xiaofei's room. Yingzi took a glance and then went to the living room to grab a few bottles of beer. She felt that it was time to talk about some things; everyone was getting tired of holding it in.
Yingzi poured drinks for herself and Ye Xiaofei. As she drank, she softly said, "Sister Xiaofei, it's been a while since we sat together to drink. No matter the reason, let's not discuss it for now. However, there are some matters that I think we should clarify, like the misunderstandings between you and Fei Hu."
"Don't mention him. Just thinking about that person makes my heart ache. Perhaps it's because I've placed too much importance on him. I know that even while I was suffering, he continued living a carefree life. That's just his character; I underestimated him. To put it bluntly, we are not on the same path. Even if we were together, it wouldn't last long. I've analyzed this very clearly," Ye Xiaofei said, though her face still showed that she had not forgotten Fei Hu.
Yingzi looked at Ye Xiaofei and gently said, "He often asks about you; he hasn't forgotten you at all. To be honest, there are indeed many women around him, but in his heart, you are irreplaceable. Do you know? The person who saved you that night was him. If he didn't care about you, why would he take such a risk? Don't you think so?"
Ye Xiaofei smiled sadly and said, "I know it was him. I realized it at that moment. So when I saw you both, my heart finally felt at ease for the first time ever. But his indifference made me feel worse than death; it would have been better if he hadn't saved me at all. From that night on, I started to hate him. He is too heartless; I can never forgive him in this lifetime." As she spoke, Ye Xiaofei raised the bottle and drank heavily.
Yingzi initially wanted to persuade her to reconcile with Fei Hu but found that things were becoming increasingly complicated; saving her had brought up more issues.
Gradually, as they drank more deeply, Ye Xiaofei finally erupted with her feelings for Fei Hu and shared them openly with Yingzi. For such a proud woman like her, this was indeed rare. From every word she spoke, one could hear her undeniable love for Fei Hu. But why did they have to be so serious when it mattered most?
Yingzi swirled her drink in her glass while looking at Ye Xiaofei's flushed face. She really wanted to say that since she loved him so deeply, why not just let go? It could give him a way out as well. But just as those words were on her lips, she swallowed them back down. The night had grown very deep, yet the two continued drinking heartily.
