"Ye Boss. I really appreciate your recent performance. The goods that were supposed to reach you in two months, I'm preparing to expedite them. In another month, you will be able to collect all the money. However, you still need to put in more effort to clear all your current obstacles. I wonder if you have the confidence." Aunt's sexy lips whispered in Ye Wu's ear.
Ye Wu's cunning eyes flashed as he coldly replied, "Of course I do. How could I not? I've already boarded your ship; there's no turning back for me. Those who go against me must perish." After saying this, Ye Wu made a chopping gesture with his hand.
Juanzi glanced at the large bed behind Ye Wu and softly said, "Brother Tiger, you've been under a lot of stress lately. Let Juanzi give you a massage to help you relax. Those messy tasks can be handled by your subordinates; you can't just keep them for nothing." As Juanzi spoke, she glanced at Aunt, who immediately stood up, patted Ye Wu on the shoulder, and left the room.
Once Aunt was gone, Ye Wu stood up and leaped onto the large bed. Juanzi gently walked over and sat beside him, removing his jacket and starting the massage. Ye Wu lightly closed his eyes, looking very relaxed, occasionally letting out soft sounds of pleasure.
"Brother Tiger, you're too tense. Your muscles are so tight; this is something you've never experienced before and isn't like you at all. You need to relax a bit. In City A, no one can compete with Brother Tiger," Juanzi said as her delicate hands continued to knead his body.
Ye Wu turned over and lay flat on his back, one hand boldly reaching under Juanzi's qipao to her thigh. He slowly opened his eyes and gently asked, "Juanzi, tell me, is it worth it for Brother Tiger to do this? Is it worth risking my life?" As he spoke, his hand had already moved to the inner side of Juanzi's thigh.
Juanzi let out a soft sigh and adjusted her sitting position before calmly replying, "It's worth it. How could it not be? A man should live passionately. If life is dull, it's better to die. Moreover, Brother Tiger is not an ordinary person; it's destined that he will make a major incident."
Upon hearing Juanzi's words, Ye Wu suddenly burst into laughter. He flipped over and pinned Juanzi down on the bed, which let out a sound of protest under their weight.
Ye Wei sat on the sofa in the hall with a grim expression. In front of him stood a rugged man in his thirties with a buzz cut and an imposing demeanor. The most striking feature was a scar across his forehead.
"Chen Jiu, you're an old hand at this. I'm asking you to come out of retirement this time to guard several major docks in City A aside from those controlled by the state. If this succeeds, you'll be a hero. You know how I treat my brothers; I'm sure you've heard something about it. But if this goes wrong, even if you jump into the river, I'll still drag you out and kick you twice on your corpse," Ye Wei said as he abruptly stood up and patted the man's shoulder.
The man who had just been somewhat smug suddenly changed his expression upon hearing Ye Wei's words. He looked at Ye Wei with some trepidation and quietly said, "My life was given by Brother Long. Naturally, I should do my job well. However, I've recently heard that Ye Wu has started using all his connections to prepare for the early release of the Four Great Kings. If that's true, we indeed have some pressure."
"Bastard! You dare believe such nonsense? Don't you think for yourself? What this country decides is impossible to change unless those guys behave well during their time inside and get their sentences reduced for early release—that's possible. But by then, the situation will be set; what waves can those four make? They might end up back inside again! They're not fools; they might go in once for Ye Wu but would they do it again?" Ye Wei's small green bean-like eyes were fixed intently on Chen Jiu.
At that moment, Chen Jiu's phone suddenly rang. He smiled awkwardly and hurriedly pulled it out only to shout angrily, "What is it? Speak quickly! I'm discussing matters with Brother Long!"
Chen Jiu suddenly pressed the phone to his ear, a hint of panic in his voice as he asked, "What? How many people did they bring... one or two hundred? Listen carefully. Even if it means dying tonight, you have to hold your ground. I'll be there soon." Chen Jiu's expression was extremely anxious. It seemed a major incident had occurred.
Ye Wei sternly questioned, "Did something happen at the docks?"
"Yes. It should be Ye Wu's people. There are about one or two hundred of them. They've already started fighting. What should we do?" Chen Jiu asked urgently.
Ye Wei remained silent, immediately grabbing the phone on the table and dialing a series of numbers. Then he shouted, "Get all your men to North Dock immediately. If you mess this up, I'll take your life." Seeing this, Chen Jiu silently retreated.
North Dock was located away from the bustling areas of City A, situated in the suburbs surrounded by farmland and undeveloped properties. Therefore, at night, aside from the trucks coming in and out of the dock, the most lively presence was the dockworkers. Although modern operations were in place, there were still tasks that only human effort could accomplish.
On a vacant lot by the river where containers were stacked, two groups of people were engaged in a fierce fight. The scene was quite shocking. Clearly, one group of yellow-haired individuals had the upper hand and quickly pushed the defenders into a corner.
Everyone believed that this group of yellow-haired individuals would surely win tonight. However, unexpectedly, at that critical moment, a long honk from a car sounded as a ten-meter-long pickup truck rushed over. As the vehicle sped along, its side door swung open. To everyone's surprise, the truck bed was filled with heads clad in black. As soon as the vehicle came to a stop, its occupants jumped down.
By the time these yellow-haired individuals realized what was happening, those newcomers charged at them with their weapons. Amidst cries and the clanging of metal, the yellow-haired group fled in disarray under the combined assault from both sides. Weapons they had dropped—machetes, steel pipes, and even shovels—littered the ground.
"Grandpa! You have to see today's front page!" Yingzi exclaimed while waving a newspaper as she ran.
Ye Cheng, who had just finished his morning exercises, took the newspaper from Yingzi's hands. Facing the rising sun, he unfolded it and saw the bold headline: "Gang Fight at Docks: Hundreds Involved; Police Have Intervened." After reading the title, Ye Cheng couldn't help but curse angrily, "What a bunch of bastards! Do they really need to wait for the police to step in before they feel comfortable?"
Yingzi supported Ye Cheng as they walked back together and softly said, "These two groups must be fighting over control of the docks between Ye Wei and Ye Wu. Thankfully there were no casualties; otherwise, this could escalate and involve you."
Ye Cheng nodded and replied, "That's what I'm worried about too. While they feast on meat, I’m left to clean up their mess—it doesn’t seem right."
Sister Wu noticed Ye Cheng had returned and immediately served some dim sum. She smiled and asked, "What’s got you looking so gloomy this early? It's not worth straining yourself over."
Ye Cheng remained silent and simply shoved the newspaper into Sister Wu's hands saying, "Take a look for yourself. With something like this happening, how can I not be angry?" As he spoke, he stood up in frustration and began pacing back and forth in the hall.
Sister Wu was quite patient. She read the newspaper from beginning to end and then smiled, saying, "It's fine. This matter isn't our concern for now. The newspaper says the police have grasped the clues about the disturbances and have summoned the parties involved. As for us, we haven't received any news on this front. So for now, it won't reach us. However, it is necessary to make some preparations."
After Sister Wu said this, Ye Cheng finally settled down. He let out a sigh and said, "The Dragon Tiger Gang's good reputation is about to be ruined by these two bastards. It seems I can't just sit back any longer; I must take action."
Yingzi glanced at Ye Cheng and quietly asked, "Has Grandpa made any preparations?"
"Yes. The day before yesterday, A-Dong called me and said that several elders of the Dragon Tiger Gang in hiding have all been contacted. Once they arrive, we will hold a senior meeting within the gang to elect a new leader and reclaim all power from Ye Wu and Ye Wei. Zeng Xin will integrate the Dragon Tiger Gang and ensure these two bastards do not ruin our Major Incident."
Yingzi looked at the rising sun outside the window and thoughtfully said, "Grandpa, Ye Wu and Ye Wei are becoming increasingly powerful. To reclaim their power, it seems we may have to resort to bloodshed. It would be better if we could avoid that."
Ye Cheng looked at Yingzi's hopeful eyes for peace and shook his head, saying, "I don't want that either. But there’s no other way. It's all my fault for being careless in choosing people back then, which has led to today's troubles. It's too late for regrets."
"Let's not worry about this for now. If they escalate things, the police will naturally come to deal with them," Yingzi said, seemingly troubled. Today, she had been reluctant for Ye Cheng to get involved in this matter, which was completely unlike her usual character.
Ye Cheng glanced at Yingzi and pondered before asking, "Is it because Fei Hu refuses to meet with me?"
Yingzi shook her head without responding.
"Just say it directly. Are you worried that Fei Hu won't be willing to help us again? I've thought about this too. That kid isn't like that. Although Xiaofei is very rude to him, he is someone who considers the bigger picture. So you can rest assured and arrange to meet him. I'll handle it myself; I won't make things difficult for you," Ye Cheng smiled as he walked over and gently patted Yingzi on the shoulder.
Yingzi reluctantly said, "Alright." In truth, she still felt uncertain. After all, Ye Xiaofei had hurt Fei Hu quite badly back then; she just didn't know how he would react now.
