"Yes, Director Sun, this person has some external injuries and needs a blood transfusion. He will be discharged tomorrow morning," the nurse said, turning to look back and noticing that Director Sun was staring blankly at Fei Hu on the hospital bed. Fei Hu's expression was even more exaggerated, with his mouth wide open and his eyes not still but blinking rapidly as he looked at Director Sun.
The nurse wrinkled her nose, thinking to herself that this guy was quite lecherous, drooling at the sight of a beautiful woman. She quietly reminded him, "What's wrong, Director Sun? Are you feeling unwell?"
"Oh! I'm sorry. He's an acquaintance of mine. I was just surprised to see him suddenly," the female director said with an awkward smile.
Fei Hu finally came to his senses and asked lightly, "Aren't you in the UK? When did you come back? You didn't even say hello." It turned out that Director Sun was actually Sun Li. She was still as beautiful as ever, tall and slender, her white coat perfectly outlining her lovely figure. Her dark hair was tied up under a white cap, making her exquisite face even more appealing.
Sun Li clearly wasn't mentally prepared; her face flushed slightly as she said, "I just got back not long ago. What happened to you? Did you get into another fight?" As she spoke, she sat down beside Fei Hu and reached toward his injury.
Fei Hu slightly recoiled and said, "It's nothing. The doctor has already treated it. They said I need a blood transfusion and I'll be discharged tomorrow morning." As he said this, he suppressed his inner displeasure. She had returned to the country without even a word; what did that mean? Did their previous interactions end silently like this?
The two sat quietly without speaking, creating a somewhat awkward atmosphere. Fortunately, the nurse brought in the blood plasma and started an IV for Fei Hu. She began chatting slowly with Xiao Li, and the mood in the room gradually eased.
Sun Li glanced at Fei Hu, who had his eyes closed tightly, and softly said, "You should rest for a while. I'll check on my rounds and come back to see you." After saying that, she turned to leave. Fei Hu's expression remained unchanged as he thought about why she would call him now when things were already like this! He hesitated for a moment but still followed Sun Li out of the ward toward her office.
The hospital before dawn was equally quiet; everyone in the building was sound asleep. As soon as they entered her office, Sun Li gently locked the door from the inside. Hearing the sound of the lock clicking made Fei Hu's heart skip a beat; he couldn't understand what Sun Li was planning.
Before he could react, Sun Li suddenly threw herself into his arms and passionately kissed him on the face with her warm lips. The emotional dam within Fei Hu that had been closed off burst open at that moment; he couldn't help but wrap his arms around her and pull her close. Their thick lips met with heavy breaths; Sun Li shivered slightly as their long-lost lips reunited in such sweetness and fervor.
Just as Fei Hu's hands were like a magician's undoing Sun Li's coat, his phone rang at an inopportune moment. It felt like cold water had been poured over him; all previous passion faded away. He loosened his grip on Sun Li and took out his phone to check— it was a call from Yingzi. A shiver ran through him; so early in the morning meant there must be some major incident happening.
"What's wrong, Yingzi? Did something happen with Grandpa again?" Fei Hu asked anxiously.
Yingzi paused slightly on the phone and then asked, "Fei Hu, I heard you were injured last night. Is it serious? Do you want me to come over and see you?" Her words were filled with concern.
"No need, it's just a minor injury. I'm fine now, and I'll be discharged soon," Fei Hu said, thinking to himself how impressive Yingzi's information network was; she already knew about last night's incident.
When Yingzi heard that Fei Hu would be discharged soon, she became a bit anxious. "What? You've been hospitalized, which means your injury isn't light! You need to listen to me and quickly send me your card number. I'll transfer some money to you so you can leave A City and go play in Shanghang for a while. This way, you'll recover and those people won't be able to find you for a while. After two or three months, you can come back, and that will really throw them off."
Fei Hu thought this plan was feasible; otherwise, he would be chased every day, and who knows when a major incident might occur.
"Why aren't you saying anything? This plan is something my grandfather and I came up with after staying up all night yesterday. Sun Li sighed and reproached him, "Stop joking around. I've already clarified our relationship. Do you know why I didn't contact you as soon as I got back?"
Fei Hu shook his head and said, "I don't know; is it because you didn't want to talk to me?" There was a hint of disappointment in his voice.
Sun Li stood up and looked at the light coming through the curtains. "I think you're a good person, so I don't want to waste your life. It's been almost a year since we separated; I thought you'd have someone special by now. Not contacting you was my way of not disturbing your peaceful life. But when I saw you last night, I immediately realized you're still single—it's really hard to change one's nature."
After carefully sending his card number to Yingzi, Fei Hu smiled and said, "Don't worry about me; this is just my fate. I've met several women who are not only older than me but also have careers like yours—they're all single-minded too. So it's destined that I'll have many romantic encounters, but who can walk through life with me? I really don't know; maybe I'll end up like you—single for life." As he spoke these words, he felt extremely lost inside.
"Excuses, are all the women you like older than you and not wanting to get married? This shows that there's something wrong with you; you have a sister complex," Sun Li said, unable to hold back her laughter.
It had been many days since he and Ye Xiaofei's situation felt like a stone weighing heavily on his heart, and he found it quite suffocating. Fei Hu let out a sigh and recounted to Sun Li all the women he had met during his year and more in A City, detailing his relationships with them without holding anything back. When it came to his relationship with Ye Xiaofei, Fei Hu spoke with a hint of emotion.
After listening to Fei Hu's story, Sun Li remained silent for a long time, staring at him as if she didn't recognize him. After a while, she shook her head and said, "I really can't tell that you have such good luck with women. To put it bluntly, you're really not suited for marriage because no woman could tolerate your romantic nature. You might as well stay single!"
At that moment, Yingzi sent a message saying, "Fifty thousand yuan has arrived. Don't worry about spending it; don't let yourself suffer. The money is from Grandpa." Fei Hu looked at the message and felt somewhat comforted; at least he still had so many people who cared about him.
Fei Hu tucked his phone into his pocket, smiled at Sun Li, and said, "Goodbye, my dear! I'm leaving now. When I come back next time, if it's convenient for you, I'll visit you at home."
"With so many women around you, who knows which one is your dear? Don't be so mushy in front of me from now on," Sun Li's words were laced with jealousy.
Fei Hu walked over and kissed Sun Li on the cheek, saying, "You're my first woman; of course, you're my dear." After saying this, he grabbed the mask from Sun Li's table and left without looking back.
Sun Li chased after him and grabbed his arm, her eyes red as she said, "I'll drive you."

Standing outside the side door of the hospital on the road, Fei Hu felt a surge of emotions; this place held too many memories for him.
