Three of Wang Silai's followers rushed in as soon as they saw their boss being challenged, surrounding Fei Hu as if they wanted to devour him whole. Alice, seeing the situation, worriedly said, "Don't fight them; there are too many of them, and you'll be at a disadvantage. I should call the police."
"Don't! What are you calling the police for? This is just a trivial matter; there's no need to involve them. Just stand aside and watch," Fei Hu replied. As soon as he finished speaking, he lunged forward, throwing a left punch followed by a right hook. He suddenly crouched down, sweeping his right leg in a whirlwind motion. The guy standing at the edge didn't manage to dodge in time and let out a yelp as he was knocked to the ground by Fei Hu's kick.
Seizing the momentum, Fei Hu continued his assault, which was his usual fighting style. As soon as he retracted his right leg, he pushed off the ground with his left foot and leaped into the air, delivering a kick with each leg. With two loud thuds, the three men fell to the ground before they even had a chance to retaliate. Alice was completely taken aback by Fei Hu's impressive skills and couldn't help but shout, "Well done! Great job!"
Fei Hu stepped over the fallen men and advanced toward Wang Silai, who was cunningly retreating step by step. Suddenly, Wang Silai fumbled at his waist and pulled out a folding knife. With a flick of a spring mechanism, a twenty-centimeter-long dagger gleamed in his hand.
"Come back! We don't need to fight with this kind of person," Alice shouted anxiously from behind.
Seeing Wang Silai brandishing a knife at him ignited Fei Hu's anger. He despised people who relied on intimidation and threats. Wang Silai charged at him with the knife, swinging it menacingly.
If it were anyone else, they might not know how to handle such an attack. But Fei Hu swiftly extended his left hand, deftly twisting Wang Silai's wrist behind his back before he even realized what happened. With a sharp scream from Wang Silai, the knife slipped from his grasp and landed in Fei Hu's hand. Initially intending only to teach him a small lesson, Fei Hu tightened his grip upon realizing Wang Silai had drawn a weapon. With a crack, accompanied by Wang Silai's scream, it seemed that Fei Hu had dislocated his arm.
The three men on the ground saw their boss in distress and scrambled to their feet, desperately charging at Fei Hu. Not wanting to hold back any longer now that things had escalated, Fei Hu leaped into action again. His legs made sharp sounds in mid-air as he quickly dispatched the three men once more. This time was different; all three lay groaning on the ground, clearly injured.
Wang Silai leaned against a speeding car with his arm hanging limply at his side, beads of sweat rolling down his face. Despite his condition, he sneered and said, "You've got guts; you actually dared to break my arm. This isn't over—Dragon Tiger Gang's brothers will skin you alive."
Fei Hu initially thought about ignoring him but felt anger rise again upon hearing about the Dragon Tiger Gang. He stepped closer to Wang Silai and lowered his voice: "What use would Dragon Tiger Gang have for scum like you? Even if they needed someone to clean toilets, they wouldn't want someone like you."
"Hmph! Who doesn't know that I, Wang Silai, am from the same hometown as Dragon Tiger Gang's Abiao? As long as he gives a word to his boss Brother Tiger, taking your life will be as easy as squashing an ant," Wang Silai retorted venomously despite sweating profusely from pain.
Seeing Wang Silai's bravado only fueled Fei Hu's irritation further: "I thought you were part of Dragon Tiger Gang yourself; turns out you're just riding on someone else's coattails—how shameless."
"Hmph! Truly blind to the mountain, I, Boss, have been mixed up with the Dragon Tiger Gang for years. However, he didn't want to stay and left. The person is out, but the connections are still there; a casual call can summon a hundred responses." A guy who had been knocked down got back up and limped over.
Such a person wouldn't shed tears until they saw the coffin. Fei Hu couldn't hold back any longer. He reached into his collar and pulled out a white Jade Pendant, holding it in front of Wang Silai while softly asking, "Since you claim to be part of the Dragon Tiger Gang, you should recognize this, right?"
Wang Silai curled his lip and leaned forward with a hint of disdain as he glanced at the Jade Pendant. Slowly, his expression changed, becoming even paler. One of his lackeys behind him anxiously asked, "Boss, what's wrong? What's so special about this Jade Pendant?"
"Get lost! You only know how to talk nonsense!" Wang Silai turned around and kicked the guy behind him, causing him to stumble back. He couldn't understand why Wang Silai seemed to have lost his mind, unable to distinguish between friends and foes.
Seeing these guys in such a sorry state made Fei Hu want to laugh, but he held it in. He sternly asked, "Wang Silai, you said you were part of the Dragon Tiger Gang; you must recognize this thing!"
Wang Silai gritted his teeth, enduring the pain in his arm. He lowered his head and said softly, "It's all my fault for being blind to the mountain; I didn't realize it was the big boss of the Tiger Gang. Ignorance is no excuse; please spare me this time. From now on, even if it kills me, I won't dare provoke you again."
Seeing that this guy had completely surrendered, Fei Hu quietly asked, "So are you still going to cause trouble for Alice?"
"I wouldn't dare; she's the boss's woman. I won't touch her again," Wang Silai said loudly enough for everyone present to hear.
"Alright! Since that's the case, everyone disperse!" Fei Hu said as he waved at Wang Silai's group. Just as he was about to leave himself, he was taken aback.
With the sound of sirens blaring, a police car came rushing toward where they were parked, flanked by several motorcycles. Seeing this, Wang Silai's group hurriedly tried to get into their cars, but it was too late. As soon as the police car stopped, several officers jumped out and surrounded Fei Hu and the others.
"Don't move! Raise your hands and squat down!" one officer shouted loudly.
The atmosphere suddenly became tense. Alice squatted down while saying, "Officer, we were just a few friends chatting; we haven't done anything illegal. Why are you arresting us? Is there some mistake?"
"Captain, these guys all have knives on them." This statement made Fei Hu's heart tremble—this was it; it was completely over. If they found knives on them, it wouldn't just be a simple detention. It was all because Wang Silai and his gang were too arrogant and always brandishing knives; now they had run into trouble.
A person resembling a Police Captain approached and sternly said to Alice, "Did you say you were just chatting with friends? Why are you carrying a knife? Do you think we're fools? We've been monitoring this for a while, and these guys not only got into a fight but also pulled out knives. Do you think we just arrest people randomly? Take them all away!"
Oh my! What is happening? How did they end up fighting under the surveillance cameras? Fei Hu regretted looking up; he had just realized that there were several cameras hanging under the overpass. In the heat of the moment, he must have forgotten about them. Now, great, he was going to be taken in again. The thought of the questioning inside made Fei Hu feel annoyed; this had happened so many times that it seemed like he was destined to have a run-in with the police.
As the police car wailed, Fei Hu fell asleep. He wasn't sure if it was because he was too tired or if the police car provided a sense of security. He remembered that he had fallen asleep in the car on two previous occasions.
"Hey! Are you sleeping well? Wake up, we're at the station now. We'll find you a room to rest properly," one of the officers shook the sleeping Fei Hu and shook his head helplessly. This might be the best sleeper he had ever seen; he could even sleep in a police car.
The questioning went on and on, then there were cross-examinations. By the time everything was settled and it was confirmed that Fei Hu had no involvement in the incident and that he acted in self-defense, the police praised him a couple of times before releasing him from the holding room.
When Fei Hu walked into the courtyard, Alice was already waiting there with a weary expression. She smiled and said, "I'm sorry for dragging you into this; I really don't know what to say."
"It's fine, but I feel a bit guilty about how harshly they dealt with Wang Silai's group. After all, I did break his arm, and now he's going to be detained," Fei Hu replied as he walked toward the exit.
Alice chuckled softly, "Hey! A person as capable as you still has a kind heart. You shouldn't feel guilty; Wang Silai is a notorious troublemaker that most people wouldn't dare confront. This time, it just happened to be you who dealt with him. You did a good deed for the community. Let him know that there’s such an impressive guy by my side; maybe he'll give up on bothering me."
Fei Hu accompanied Alice to pick up her car, and then they headed back together. Curiously, Fei Hu asked, "What kind of relationship do you have with Wang Silai? How does he know you and your other name?"
Alice thought for a moment and replied softly, "He targeted me when I first started out. Luckily, someone from my family stepped in to protect me, and he backed off. Later on, after we got married and moved abroad, he disappeared from my life. I didn't expect that recently he'd found out about my divorce and started harassing me again in City A. Thankfully you were there tonight; it seems you've managed to subdue him quite effectively! You must be some kind of gang leader."
Fei Hu let out a sigh and shook his head helplessly, "Gang leader? That's nonsense; I'm just an imposter."
