Fei Hu dared not look directly at Ye Xiaofei. He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye and quickly turned away. Today, Ye Xiaofei seemed to be in a good mood, wearing a light smile and a pink dress that was both elegant and flattering, perfectly showcasing her curves. It could be said that she highlighted all the right places, which was once his exclusive domain. Now, he felt a twinge of sadness just from stealing a glance.
Yingzi lightly punched Fei Hu and said, "Have some self-respect, okay? People are treating you like air. You don't need to take it so seriously. Just don't show any weakness in front of so many people; otherwise, you'll really embarrass yourself." Fei Hu understood the meaning behind Yingzi's words and nodded hurriedly.
Ye Xiaofei raised her glass and expertly toasted everyone. She called out to the elders without hesitation, addressing them as grandpas, uncles, and brothers. Her poise earned her rounds of applause, and several older gentlemen couldn't help but give Ye Cheng a thumbs up, showering her with compliments.
The more composed and confident Ye Xiaofei appeared, the more uncomfortable Fei Hu felt. As he saw the toast coming his way, he truly felt uncertain. He feared that Ye Xiaofei might ignore him and humiliate him in front of so many people.
At that moment, Ye Wei and Ye Wu stood up with their glasses and approached Ye Xiaofei. They insisted on drinking with her, and seeing her struggle to drink made Fei Hu want to step in and protect her for a moment. Sometimes he felt so low; even though she hardly acknowledged him now, he still hadn't completely let go of the past.
"Kid! You're a man; men should be magnanimous. Go ahead and take the initiative to drink with Xiaofei, letting all unpleasantness fade away with this toast!" Sister Wu had somehow come over and leaned on Fei Hu's shoulder, whispering softly. Looking at the blissful smile on Sister Wu's face, Fei Hu found no reason to refuse her goodwill.
As Ye Wu and Ye Wei continued to pressure Ye Xiaofei into drinking more, Fei Hu walked over with a smile on his face and said to Ye Xiaofei, " Xiaofei, I toast you one; I'll drink mine, you do as you wish." Saying this, he raised his glass.
"Hey! Slow down; there's no rush to drink! Who are you to toast me? I don't recognize you!" Ye Xiaofei raised her voice high, causing everyone in the room to turn their attention toward her in an instant silence as they quietly watched her.
Seeing an opportunity, Ye Wei laughed heartily and said, "Niece, are you drunk? How can you not recognize him? Isn't he that Fei Hu, who used to be a little security guard at our Sheng Wei? Later on, due to improper conduct, I was about to send him to the police station when this kid actually ran away. You should remember this incident!" With this remark from Ye Wei, some people who were unaware of the situation began whispering among themselves. Fei Hu felt as if his face had been slapped twice; it turned bright red all the way down to his neck.
"A little security guard? I don't recognize him; there are just too many security guards at Sheng Wei," Ye Xiaofei shook her head and poured more wine into her glass, clearly not done drinking yet.
Seeing that things were getting out of hand, Ye Cheng immediately turned to Yingzi and said, "Quick! Yingzi, Xiaofei might be drunk. Get her into a room to rest for a bit; we can't let this affect everyone's mood."
"Slow down! Who said I've had too much to drink? Just because I don't know this little security guard, you say I've had too much? But the truth is, I really don't know him." Ye Xiaofei's expression changed, looking extremely angry, and Yingzi felt embarrassed and didn't dare to pull her back.
The atmosphere became awkward to the extreme, and Fei Hu wanted to find a hole to hide in. Ye Wu Yi pulled Ye Wei aside and smiled, saying, "Second Brother! You can't even say a word. What little security guard? Not everyone might know him! This kid is quite a big deal in our city; he's the pretty boy of Hong Kong's Great Star, Zhang Jia. Just the night before last, Zhang Jia publicly acknowledged him. It seems my niece was there that night too; how could you not recognize him?"
Ye Wu's words pierced Fei Hu's heart like a knife, causing his face to change instantly. He opened his mouth but couldn't find any words for a long time. Everyone else listened in shock, as if a bomb had gone off. Zhang Jia has been very popular lately; almost everyone knows her, and while people enjoy the shows she stars in, just thinking about her as a glamorous star tarnishes all her merits, making her seem like an unprincipled actress.
Ye Xiaofei's facial muscles twitched twice. She stepped forward and smiled, saying, "Oh! So you're the pretty boy of Great Star. Then I should toast you." As soon as Ye Xiaofei finished speaking, the drink in her hand splashed onto Fei Hu's face.
A gasp filled the room as everyone stared blankly at the scene that just unfolded, no one daring to speak. The alcohol dripped down Fei Hu's face and soaked into his white shirt, leaving a large wet spot. He held his drink without moving; at that moment, his heart began to bleed. He never expected that Ye Xiaofei would publicly humiliate him like this.
"Hey! You have some thick skin; can't you see? Our Ye Family doesn't welcome outsiders like you," Ye Wei said with his big belly, stepping forward and even pushing Fei Hu.
This finally triggered Fei Hu's eruption like a volcano. He roared angrily, raised his arm, and threw Ye Wei onto his back. He took one step towards the door and yanked it open before disappearing from sight, leaving only Ye Cheng's shouting behind.
Fei Hu didn't know how he made it down the stairs. When he came to his senses, he found himself wandering alone on the street. He kept running, sweat soaking his clothes without a care. He wanted to keep running because he feared stopping; if he stopped, he'd have to think about what just happened. The alcohol sloshed around in his stomach, and with the cold wind blowing against him, Fei Hu's steps began to falter.
Running gradually turned into walking as he gasped for breath. When he regained some awareness, he found himself inexplicably back in front of his rental apartment door. Just as he reached for his keys, he leaned against the door and sat down; he simply couldn't move anymore and had no strength left to stand up and open the door. Thus, Fei Hu leaned against the door and slowly fell asleep while his phone rang repeatedly in his pocket. He vaguely heard it in his dreams but didn't want to answer because he truly didn't want to move.
"Hey! Why are you sitting here?" A fragrant scent wafted over him, followed by a smooth arm wrapping around his waist and struggling to pull him forward.
Fei Hu tried hard to cooperate and stood up. He slightly opened his eyes and found that it was a beautiful woman holding him. Fei Hu thought he was dreaming but felt that this person looked familiar. As he slowly recalled, his heart began to race; this woman was none other than his neighbor Alice from across the hall.
As Alice dragged Fei Hu into her room while complaining, "How could you get yourself into this state? Luckily I heard your phone ringing; otherwise, if you slept here all day at the door, something bad would definitely happen."
Alice tossed Fei Hu onto the sofa, but due to her excessive force, she stumbled forward and fell on top of him. Her soft body pressed against Fei Hu, stirring the drunken man's Divine Essence. Fei Hu instinctively wrapped his arms around Alice's slender waist, causing her to let out a gentle moan.
This sound was like a battle cry, igniting something deep within Fei Hu. He suddenly rolled over, pinning Alice beneath him. The woman exhaled softly, burying her head in Fei Hu's embrace, and said lightly, "You've had too much to drink; you need to get some sleep."
At that moment, Fei Hu was like an arrow shot from a bow; he wouldn't rest until he reached his target. His hand slid under Alice's thin shirt. My God, this woman might have just gotten out of bed; she was completely bare underneath. As Fei Hu's hand climbed to that peak, both conqueror and conquered let out heavy breaths.
He couldn't wait any longer. This woman had always been in front of him, and while he had considered Ye Xiaofei, now he wanted nothing more than pleasure. Roughly, Fei Hu tore off Alice's clothing, and when they rolled together, she let out a deep moan as if it had come a bit late.
That afternoon, Fei Hu seemed to go wild, constantly toying with Alice. The woman greedily enjoyed the storm of passion, saying, "Women are the earth; men are the oxen. Only the oxen can be exhausted; the earth never wears out."
As night fell slowly, the two exhausted individuals finally sat up. Alice leaned against Fei Hu's chest and softly said, "What’s wrong with you? You’re acting like a bull today; you could really wear someone out."
Fei Hu shook his head and replied, "A heartless person can't be hurt by anything. I drank too much and lost control of myself. If I've wronged you in any way, please forgive me!"
"Ha! If you hadn't drunk too much, I wouldn't have had this opportunity," Alice said as she put on a robe and walked toward the bathroom. Soon after, the sound of running water could be heard.
As Fei Hu sat up and prepared to get dressed, his phone rang again. It was so annoying; it had rung countless times that afternoon without him answering. He realized that if he didn't answer this time, it would be hard to explain.
He picked up the phone and saw that Yingzi had called more than ten times, along with two calls from old man Ye Cheng. A twinge of guilt hit him; after all, this was between him and Ye Xiaofei, and there was no need to drag others into it. With that thought in mind, Fei Hu immediately answered the call. Instantly, Yingzi's irritated voice came through: "Why didn't you answer your phone? Have you no conscience?" Fei Hu was taken aback.
