Life sometimes enjoys playing tricks on people. Tonight's situation left Fei Hu at a loss for words; he couldn't possibly admit in front of so many people that he was just Zhang Jia's kept man! He had no choice but to swallow his pride and bear it all. To make matters worse, Ye Xiaofei happened to be there tonight, and she and her classmates saw everything clearly. What a predicament!
Li Qin couldn't help but burst into laughter, drawing the attention of those around her. Feeling a bit embarrassed, Li Qin stuck out her tongue at Fei Hu and said, "It seems you're even more wronged than Dou E tonight. However, this kind of thing can't be explained easily. The key issue is that there's now a rift between you and Ye Xiaofei, and you've lost the most basic level of trust. So whatever you say, she won't believe you. I don't know what exactly happened between you two; could you tell me about it?" Li Qin looked at him with anticipation, clearly sincere.
Fei Hu didn't want to bring up these matters again, but Li Qin's gaze told him that this woman was trustworthy. After hesitating for a moment, he recounted the whole story of why he and Ye Xiaofei were in their current situation. There were too many details involved, so he could only touch on the main points. As a result, Li Qin couldn't analyze whose fault it was after hearing his account.
As the drinks slowly diminished, Fei Hu found himself talking more and more, as if he needed to share all the frustrations that had built up in his heart with Li Qin. She was very good at conversation; every word she spoke made Fei Hu feel comfortable, and he sensed that the wounds in his heart were gradually healing.
This place seemed to be one where people stayed up all night; there were always people coming and going, some like them who sat down and didn't move again. Li Qin ordered two bottles of liquor, which Fei Hu quickly drank down to just a few sips left. Initially, Li Qin intended for Fei Hu to drink more; she just wanted to hint at it. However, as they got into the mood, she lost control herself and started drinking heavily alongside him.
"Listening to you talk is like hearing a story; I really enjoy it. In the future, we should keep in touch more often—drink some wine, sing some songs; that would be great. Life is short; if we don't go crazy now, we'll grow old. You've freed yourself now; why tie yourself down with love when you could live freely? Look at me—I'm doing great!" As Li Qin spoke these words, her eyes began to glaze over; it seemed she was getting a bit drunk.
Fei Hu had drunk quite a bit too but remained relatively clear-headed because he didn't want to get drunk in this place. Time flew by quickly; he genuinely wanted to chat more with this woman. However, when he turned around, he noticed a beam of light shining through the door—it was dawn.
Fei Hu gently tapped the slightly dazed Li Qin and smiled, saying, "The sun is up; we should head back. You can't drive anymore. Should we call a taxi to go home? You can drive once you're sober."
"Haha! I knew you guys would be here! Look at how drunk you are!" With a sweet voice, Chen Sisi walked over. Fei Hu had no idea when she had come in.
Li Qin swayed as she stood up and laughed, "Sisi, are you following us? We haven't done anything inappropriate; we've just been drinking here!"
"Let your imagination run wild! What do I care? I slept well last night; I wasn't thinking about following you guys around!" Chen Sisi replied with a smile while nodding at Fei Hu.
Seeing Chen Sisi arrive, Fei Hu shook himself awake and said with forced cheerfulness, "Miss Chen, you're just in time! Please take Li Qin home for me. I've had a bit too much to drink myself and won't be joining you two anymore. I'm heading back now." With that, he walked toward the exit.
"Hey! What do you mean by this? You leave as soon as I arrive. Do you look down on people or what?" Chen Sisi said with an unhappy expression. Fei Hu forced himself to look at the woman; she seemed to have gotten up early, her makeup was beautifully done, and combined with her charming figure, she must have captivated countless men on the street.
In a daze, Li Qin heard that Fei Hu was leaving and became insistent. She swayed over and hugged Fei Hu's arm, her eyes glazed with drunkenness as she said, "What are you afraid of? It's just the two of us women; we can't possibly eat you. Come with me to my place and get some good sleep. Once you're sober, you can go back. If you insist on leaving, then we'll pretend we don't know each other from now on." Wow! This woman really knows how to push it.
Fei Hu hesitated when Chen Sisi walked over and playfully glared at him, saying, "Come on! Help me support her. With her size, if she falls, she'll crush me." What she said was a bit exaggerated, but it was true; Li Qin was tall and big while Chen Sisi was petite.
It was only a few steps from the bar to the car, but Fei Hu felt dizzy as he walked. If he went back like this, he might not even be able to catch a ride before passing out.
Once in the car, Fei Hu collapsed into the seat. He felt his stomach churning, and the voices around him seemed so distant. Gradually, he lost consciousness. When a burst of laughter reached his ears, Fei Hu barely managed to open his eyes and found himself lying on a soft bed, the room filled with a faint fragrance.
The dim light coming through the window made Fei Hu doubt what he saw as he sat up in bed. How could it be dark again? Did he sleep for an entire day? Just as he was about to get out of bed, he realized he was only wearing underwear. Who had taken off his clothes? Where was this place? Was it a hotel? He couldn't remember anything at all.
Sitting on the bed, Fei Hu thought quietly for a moment. After getting into Chen Sisi's car, he had lost all awareness. Right! This could very well be Li Qin's villa. The thought excited him; who had taken off his clothes? Just thinking about it made him feel thrilled.
Fei Hu fumbled around on the bedside and pressed a button that turned on the lights in the room. Wow! The high-end decor and furnishings—this couldn't be anything but a villa. The soft and spacious bed, along with the sofa and television in the room—it was all complete. What made it even more comfortable was that there was a separate bathroom.
While Fei Hu was examining the room, another round of laughter came in; it sounded like Li Qin and Chen Sisi were in the living room playing games. It seemed Li Qin had already sobered up while he had embarrassed himself by being drunk all day.
Fei Hu got out of bed and opened the bathroom door only to find all his clothes washed and hanging inside. He walked over to touch them; they were already dry. Just then, he noticed a multifunctional washing machine in the corner with a button labeled "Dry." He couldn't help but shake his head; life for rich people really is different.
After finishing washing up, when Fei Hu stepped out of the room, he saw Li Qin and Chen Sisi squeezed together on the sofa playing games. As soon as they spotted him, they turned off the TV. Li Qin chuckled and said, "You really did it this time; you were so drunk that you slept all day long, making it impossible for us to go out."
Fei Hu scratched his head; he didn't know how he had gotten so drunk either. Could there have been something wrong with the liquor? Thinking about this made him feel a bit embarrassed as he smiled awkwardly and said, "I'm sorry for causing trouble for both of you; I just can't handle my liquor well. If it weren't for your laughter, I might have slept until tomorrow."
"Are you kidding me! Li Qin woke up at noon, didn't you both drink the same kind of alcohol?" Chen Sisi said, winking at Fei Hu. This woman was a bit strange; hadn't she said she was getting married soon? Why was she still hanging out with Li Qin?
Fei Hu was about to speak when Li Qin smiled and said, "I've slept all day; it's time for us to have dinner together. You two chat for a bit; I'll go downstairs to see if dinner is ready and if we need to add any dishes." With that, she swayed her lovely figure and went downstairs.
As soon as Li Qin left, Chen Sisi rushed over, squeezed next to Fei Hu, and giggled, "You should thank me properly. This morning, it was me and the nanny who got you into bed. You really are a big fool; once you fell asleep, you were dead to the world. It almost exhausted us! And your clothes? I personally washed them; they reek of sweat. Haven't you washed them in days?" Chen Sisi said, deliberately wrinkling her nose in a playful manner, completely unlike someone who was about to get married.
Fei Hu was secretly startled by this. He smirked mischievously and said, "So it was you who took them off! You almost stripped me completely; what a bargain for you! And you still have the nerve to ask me to thank you."
"Hey! You ungrateful person! I helped you take off your clothes so you'd sleep more comfortably. And here you are saying I took advantage of you. Do you think I've never seen anything? You're just a hideous sight; I'm not interested at all," Chen Sisi retorted, though her face turned slightly red, which Fei Hu noticed clearly.
Not one to back down, Fei Hu shook his head and continued, "Who knows! Anyway, I was out cold. Whether you had ulterior motives or not is anyone's guess. Even if something happened, I wouldn't know."
"Hey! What kind of person are you? You're so full of yourself!" Chen Sisi exclaimed as she grabbed a cushion from the sofa and started hitting Fei Hu on the head.
When Li Qin came back and saw Chen Sisi mercilessly hitting Fei Hu, she laughed and said, "What's going on? No wonder you're not getting married with that temper." She pulled Chen Sisi aside while Chen Sisi pouted, looking stubborn.
Fei Hu shrugged his shoulders and teased Chen Sisi further, "You nearly stripped me naked and still say you've seen nothing."
"What? Are you saying Chen Sisi helped you take off your clothes?" Li Qin asked in surprise.
Fei Hu stood up and said loudly on purpose, "Yes! And she even washed them for me!" Upon hearing this, the cushion in Chen Sisi's hand flew toward him.
