A sense of foreboding suddenly washed over him. Could it be... Fei Hu dared not think further. He tilted his head slightly, wanting to see what was happening, when he felt something hard pressing against his back. Immediately after, a cold voice came from behind, "Sit still and don't look back. Be careful or you might lose your life." 0

Upon hearing this, Fei Hu's heart sank. A gun? Is that what’s pressing against my back? My goodness, what is happening? This person must be having a bad day; even drinking cold water could lead to trouble. No wonder the driver was driving so unnaturally. 0

Seeing that Fei Hu did not move, the person in the back seat removed the object pressing against Fei Hu's back and continued, "You two are lucky today; I've chosen you. In a moment, I need you to do something for me. If you do well, not only will I let you go, but there will also be a reward. If you don’t listen, I’ll have no choice but to end your lives. Next year on this day will be your death anniversary." 0

These words sent chills down his spine. What on earth is going on? Have I encountered a robber? But it doesn’t feel like it! What’s there to rob from this rental car? Why would he trick me into getting in? Fei Hu couldn’t help but feel resentment towards the driver. 0

"Sir, where should we go now? Continuing straight will lead us nowhere," the driver suddenly asked. Fei Hu looked and saw the driver sweating profusely; it seemed he was extremely nervous. Perhaps he was threatened into this as well. With this thought, Fei Hu felt a bit of sympathy for him. 0

Then the person in the back shouted, "Turn left, drive past the Garbage Dump, and stop at the small grove by the seaside." The voice remained icy; could this guy really be a cold-blooded animal? 0

Fei Hu kept wondering what this person was up to and why he had dragged him into this mess. It surely wasn’t anything good; carrying a gun might mean he was a wanted criminal or something worse. Oh dear! Has my luck been so bad these past few days? How could I encounter such nonsense? He was nearly going insane. 0

The area they were driving through was desolate—an abandoned farm road full of potholes. The car bounced along as if it were dancing. No driver would willingly come to such a place unless threatened. The stench of garbage wafted in; even with the windows closed, it was still unbearable. 0

Fei Hu deliberately asked softly, "Sir, what exactly do you want us to do? You should at least tell us so we can prepare and avoid ruining your Major Incident." 0

"Shut up! You talk too much. I'll arrange everything when the time comes; why are you in such a hurry?" The man in the back snapped angrily. Fei Hu was infuriated; if he were alone in the car, he would have punched him already. What’s so scary about a gun? I’ve seen guns before! 0

The car jolted and gradually came to a stop. Through the window, Fei Hu realized they had entered a small grove. It turned out to be a hillside that sloped down to meet the coastline. Perhaps due to its remoteness and lack of development, large rocks lined the seaside while mud covered one side instead of sand like other beaches. 0

"Don’t look around; listen to my instructions. I didn’t bring you here for sightseeing. Listen carefully: there are two boxes in the trunk; each of you will carry one down the slope. Once you reach behind the big rocks, someone will exchange boxes with you. After that, bring the boxes back here—that will complete your task. Each of you will receive a reward of ten thousand dollars. If either of you tries anything funny along the way, all I have to do is press a button and you'll both be done for," said the man in the back ominously. 0

The driver quickly interjected, "Please don’t press it! We’ll do as you say!" Seeing how terrified the driver was made Fei Hu think that he must be overly timid—was it really that terrifying? 0

At that moment, Fei Hu felt the man in the back stand up and coldly commanded, "You two raise your hands—your left hand and his right hand." Immediately after that, something pressed against Fei Hu's back again, prompting him to hurriedly raise his left hand. 0

With a sharp sound, a shiny handcuff pinned Fei Hu's left hand to the driver's right hand. Fei Hu glanced back with his peripheral vision and saw a person wearing large Big Sunglasses and a hat, though the figure was not very tall. 0

Suddenly, Fei Hu felt a sharp pain on his head as the person shouted, "If you keep looking around, I'll gouge out your eyes. Start moving to the left slowly and do as I say. Understand? The timer starts now." Just as he finished speaking, Fei Hu heard a beep, but he could never figure out where the sound came from. 0

As they slowly got out of the car, Fei Hu let out a sigh of relief. He and the driver walked side by side towards the back of the vehicle. As they passed by the rear window, his eyes involuntarily glanced inside and saw that the person was holding a gun, pointing it directly at them, while his left hand seemed to be holding something else. 0

Opening the trunk revealed two small safes. Fei Hu and the driver each picked one up and followed the instructions given by the person in the car, walking down the slope towards the sea. 0

After walking about thirty to forty meters, Fei Hu quietly asked the driver, "What does she want? Why are you so nervous?" 0

"Remote-controlled bomb, brother!" The driver replied as he lifted his shirt with his handcuffed hands. To Fei Hu's shock, there was indeed something strapped around his waist with a timer on it, lights flashing and wires tangled everywhere, just like in the movies. No wonder the driver was so tense; anyone would be in his position. 0

Fei Hu thought to himself that in situations like this, one must remain calm; otherwise, things could go terribly wrong. So he quietly reassured the driver, "Don't worry; I know how to disarm this thing. I'll take care of it." 0

The driver shook his head and said, "No, no, no! He said that once it's assembled, no one can disarm it. It's better not to take that risk. After we switch the boxes, we can go back; he should be able to disarm it for us." Fei Hu remained silent; he knew that at this moment, saying anything would be pointless. He just wondered what was inside those boxes. 0

They quickly reached their destination. Following the instructions from the person in the car, Fei Hu and the driver cautiously walked behind a large rock. Strangely enough, as soon as they stood still, two masked figures suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Each of them was holding a box and silently placed them on the ground. Just as Fei Hu and the driver approached to pick up the boxes, they heard a loud shout: "Don't move! Raise your hands!" 0

Despite being quite brave, Fei Hu was startled by this sudden command. He hurriedly looked around and thought to himself, oh my God! The area was surrounded by police officers with guns pointed at them as they advanced step by step. Suddenly, the two masked figures crouched down and instantly pulled out guns of their own while firing at the police as they dashed towards the sea. 0

Upon hearing gunfire, the driver's legs went weak; he stumbled and fell to the ground. Seeing this, Fei Hu followed suit and sat down beside him as bullets whizzed past them. The two masked figures didn’t get far before they were taken down—either injured or killed. 0

In an instant, police officers surrounded them. Fei Hu wanted to stand up but realized that the driver was frozen in fear like a lump of clay on the ground. Then he remembered about the bomb strapped to him and shouted loudly, "He has a bomb!" 0

"Step aside! Let me take a look," came a voice as an agile female officer rushed over. When her gaze met Fei Hu's eyes, both were momentarily stunned before quickly regaining composure. Oh my God! This female officer was Ni Ling, but she seemed not to recognize him at all. 0

Fei Hu hurriedly said, "He has a timed bomb strapped around his waist! You need to find a way to disarm it!" 0

Seeing that Fei Hu's hand was still cuffed to the driver's hand, Ni Ling immediately shouted, "Get someone to uncuff them!" The police quickly sprang into action and managed to uncuff their hands in no time. 0

Fei Hu quickly stood up and pointed towards the small grove, saying, "The person with the remote control is in the rental car." 0

Upon hearing this, Ni Ling raised her eyebrows and shouted, "Xiao Li, quickly surround the small grove with everyone and capture the person in the car. Leave Xiao Zhang here with a few people to clean up the scene." 0

A male police officer waved his hand, leading most of the officers towards the small grove. 0

At that moment, the driver, frightened and on the verge of tears, said, "Officer, please help me disarm the bomb. I can't die; I have several people at home depending on me. If I die, how will they survive?" 0

"Shut up," Ni Ling said calmly. 0

Just as Fei Hu was about to see how she would disarm the bomb, a male police officer approached him, grabbed his hand, and with a click, put handcuffs on him. Fei Hu was about to argue when the officer shook his head and said, "Don't rush to speak. You'll have your chance at the station." 0

For reasons unknown, Fei Hu was escorted by the police and stopped about thirty-four meters away from Ni Ling and the driver. His heart sank again as he saw two more officers on the ground assisting Ni Ling in disarming the bomb. 0

Time passed slowly, and Fei Hu feared hearing a loud explosion. Suddenly, Ni Ling laughed and said, "Got it! It was just a fake bomb." As soon as she spoke those words, the atmosphere around them changed; the two officers accompanying her finally let out a sigh of relief. 0

Soon after, the driver was also handcuffed and led out of the small grove. Seeing this situation, Fei Hu hurriedly shouted to Ni Ling, "We were being threatened; this has nothing to do with us!" 0

Ni Ling glared at him and said, "Whatever you have to say can wait until we get to the station. Whether it has anything to do with you is not for you to decide." 0

Upon hearing this, Fei Hu's heart raced. Why did he have to go back inside? If he was wrongfully accused, who would he turn to for justice? Fei Hu was so angry he felt like he might go crazy. 0
