As soon as Yingzi left, Fei Hu felt extremely bored. He turned on the TV and flipped through every channel, finding nothing interesting to watch. It seemed like all the programs were nonsense, especially those exaggerated advertisements that made him feel like smashing the TV.
Just when Fei Hu thought he was going to go crazy, his phone rang. He saw it was Yingzi calling and quickly answered. Yingzi's cheerful voice came through the receiver: "Hey, silly! Are you feeling really bored? Why not go for a walk? The surroundings of the hotel are quite nice. Staying cooped up in a room for too long will drive you mad." Before Fei Hu could respond, she hung up.
Holding the phone, Fei Hu stared blankly for a moment before suddenly shouting, "I’m going out!"
Stepping out of the hotel invigorated him; everything felt different. The green lawn, the blue sky, and some chirping birds made him realize that life was actually quite beautiful.
"You’re really here!" a girl's voice suddenly came from behind Fei Hu.
Lost in nature, Fei Hu turned around abruptly and was taken aback to see Wang Yun standing there. She was dressed in a flight attendant uniform and was pulling a suitcase. At that moment, Wang Yun looked exceptionally beautiful, her long black hair cascading over her shoulders, and her figure accentuated by the uniform. She smiled brightly, waiting quietly for Fei Hu's response.
After a moment of surprise, Fei Hu scratched his head awkwardly and asked with a smile, "What are you doing here? You’re not staying at this hotel too, are you?"
"Pfft! We’re more likely staying at the Dormitory. A fancy hotel like this is not where we stay," Wang Yun replied as she set her suitcase upright and walked over.
Fei Hu asked Wang Yun in confusion, "Then what are you doing here? It can't be just a coincidence." There had been too many coincidences lately that almost made Fei Hu doubt his own beliefs.
Wang Yun tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and said lightly, "There aren't that many coincidences. Even though you don’t think much of me, I still came specifically to find you."
"You're just bragging. How did you know I was staying here?" Fei Hu asked in surprise.
Wang Yun glanced at him and sat down on a fake rock nearby, looking somewhat displeased as she said, "I know that neither I nor Chen Hui are to your liking. You're avoiding us; you'd rather stay in a hotel than at Chen Hui's place. When you all left yesterday, you didn’t even say goodbye to me. Do you know how sad that made me? Luckily, I remembered the number of the rental car and followed it all the way here. So what now? Are you going to kick me out?"
Fei Hu chuckled softly; he really didn't know where to start. The two fell into silence for a moment.
Finally, it was Wang Yun who broke the ice. She gently asked, "Where's that beautiful older sister who was with you? Why are you alone?"
"Oh, she just left, went back early. You are about to go to work," Fei Hu glanced at Wang Yun, who was dressed in a crew uniform.
Wang Yun nodded and said softly, "I’m getting on the train tomorrow afternoon. I came a day early just to find you."
"Is Chen Hui on the same shift as you?" Fei Hu quickly asked.
Wang Yun shook her head and replied, "We were supposed to be on the same shift, but she recently got a good opportunity to be an intern train conductor on the train the day after tomorrow. It's considered pre-job training, so she got promoted." As Wang Yun spoke, her expression was one of melancholy. Fei Hu noticed and couldn't help but shake his head lightly; why did she always have to compare herself with others?
Suddenly, Wang Yun's expression changed, and she looked particularly happy. She smiled and said, "Handsome guy, can I see what your Five-Star Hotel is like?" Saying this, she stood up and playfully shook Fei Hu's arm like a little girl.
Fei Hu couldn't resist this and smiled, "Alright, come with me. There's really not much to see."
Upon hearing this, Wang Yun jumped up joyfully, her earlier displeasure completely gone. Truly, a woman's mood can change like the weather. This saying is no exaggeration. Fei Hu walked over, grabbed Wang Yun's suitcase, and led her toward the hotel.
"Wow! Such a big room! I thought you were sharing a room with some beautiful sister. Turns out it's a suite! You guys are so rich!" Wang Yun exclaimed loudly as soon as she entered.
In fact, when Fei Hu entered yesterday, he felt pretty much the same way; he just didn't shout it out.
Wang Yun flopped onto the spacious sofa and laughed, "Handsome guy, such a big room is too wasteful for just one person. How about you pity this little girl and let me enjoy it for one night?"
"Sure, what's the big deal? It's empty anyway," Fei Hu casually replied in his excitement. Unexpectedly, Wang Yun immediately jumped off the sofa, dragging her suitcase straight into the room where Yingzi had slept last night.
At that moment, Fei Hu realized that his agreement might have been a bit rash. Wang Yun was somewhat different from Chen Hui; judging by her behavior from the night before, Wang Yun was an enthusiastic and bold woman who could be quite daring. If they ended up staying together and something happened between them, it could become complicated. However, since she had already run into the room, he felt embarrassed to take back his words. He decided to go along with it; after all, it was just how things were.
After a while, Wang Yun came out of the room. Perhaps due to the rising temperature close to noon, she had taken off her crew uniform and was only wearing a white shirt on top. When she sat next to Fei Hu, her chest moved up and down enticingly, causing Fei Hu's gaze to drift involuntarily. He caught sight of her red lace bra peeking through the gaps in her shirt buttons.
A woman adorns herself for those she loves; Wang Yun shyly lowered her head and softly asked, "Fei Hu, between me and Chen Hui, who do you think is prettier?"
This woman was as bold as Fei Hu expected; she didn't shy away from such questions and blurted it out without hesitation. After pondering for a moment, Fei Hu replied, "It's hard to compare; each has their strengths. Anyway, both of you are very beautiful in my eyes."
Wang Yun shook her head and smiled lightly, "Actually, in your eyes, neither of us is beautiful because your heart belongs to someone else. Just the day before yesterday, I thought you were really Chen Hui's girlfriend, and I was so jealous that I couldn't stand it. To be honest, after returning from KTV, I hardly slept that night; your image filled my mind. Just last night, I chatted with Chen Hui for half the night, and only then did I realize that between you two, it was a one-sided love. No wonder you moved to the hotel."
Fei Hu nodded and said, "Chen Hui is a good girl; I can't hurt her."
"Hmph, why do you sound so old-fashioned? What era are we in? Why talk about hurting or not hurting? If two people are together and get along well, they stay together; if not, they part ways. There's no harm done, and no responsibilities involved. I've had three boyfriends; those past relationships feel like dreams now. I've come to understand that living one day at a time means being happy today, regardless of what tomorrow brings," Wang Yun said casually. Fei Hu felt ashamed in comparison; he realized he couldn't keep up with the pace of society.
The two continued chatting freely about everything under the sun—from work to personal lives—discussing a chaotic mix of topics. Fei Hu didn't expect Wang Yun to be so talkative; it was clear she had rich life experiences accumulated over time that couldn't be faked.
Talking with someone like her felt completely pressure-free. He could say whatever came to mind without needing to think too hard or strategize in conversation, which he found quite distasteful.
Around eleven-thirty, Wang Yun stood up and smiled, "You stay put; I'm treating today. We're not going for a big meal or anything fancy from the hotel. I'll go get you some local snacks from Shanghang; I promise you'll enjoy them."
"Then I'll go with you," Fei Hu also stood up.
Wang Yun shook her head and said, "You should stay here and watch TV. I'll be back soon. Aren't you hiding yourself away? What if you run into someone you know?" As she spoke, she went back to her room, grabbed a vest, draped it over her shoulders with flair, and opened the door to leave.
Fei Hu sat down after a moment of surprise. Wang Yun was right; what if he ran into someone familiar? The events of the past few days were hard for him to believe. In his wandering around, he had even ended up at Chen Hui's house and unexpectedly encountered Wang Yun there. Moreover, Wang Yun's brother was Ye Wu's subordinate—these chaotic events seemed almost scripted.
Fei Hu turned on the TV and lay back on the sofa, thinking that as long as there was food and drink, everything would be fine. He relaxed so much that he fell asleep. When a knock on the door startled him awake, he suddenly thought that maybe Wang Yun had returned.
Opening the door, Fei Hu was shocked to exclaim, "Tang Zong!"
