Over an hour later, Fei Hu and Yingzi arrived at Nangang City. Although it is considered a second-tier city, Nangang Dock is the third largest port in the country, with an annual throughput that ranks among the best in the world. The prosperity of the transportation industry has boosted the economy, so the urban landscape of Nangang is certainly not inferior to that of first-tier cities.
The beautiful scenery was right before their eyes, but Fei Hu and Yingzi had no time to appreciate it. They were well aware that the burden they carried this time was not light. As soon as they exited the airport, they took a taxi directly to the hotel that Yingzi had booked in advance, Seven Days Inn. According to Yingzi, this hotel is located near Nangang Dock. Due to its large scale, pleasant surroundings, and proximity to the dock, it has a high occupancy rate. If they hadn't booked in advance, there might not have been any rooms available.
Upon entering the hotel lobby, the luxurious decor immediately conveyed its upscale nature. Yingzi took out her ID card and showed it to the front desk. The staff checked on the computer, printed a receipt, and handed Yingzi a room key.
The sixteenth floor was considered the highest level of this hotel. Yingzi's room was a suite with a living room and two bedrooms. She probably made this arrangement for convenience since they were both single men and women.
As soon as Fei Hu entered the room, she felt awkward. It was one thing for a man and woman to share a space; if they weren't careful, issues could arise. Even if nothing happened, outsiders would have their opinions. Yingzi seemed completely unconcerned; as soon as she entered, she tossed her luggage onto the sofa, grabbed binoculars, and pulled back the curtains to look outside continuously, almost like she was conducting surveillance.
Fei Hu found herself a room and had just moved her luggage in when Yingzi called out, "Come look! This area is Nangang Dock; it's impressive—such a large scale!"
As Fei Hu walked over, Yingzi handed her the binoculars. Fei Hu raised them and looked in the direction Yingzi pointed. Wow! It was indeed an enormous area filled with containers stacked high like mountains. In the distance, large cargo ships were docked at the port, constantly loading and unloading goods. Cranes were busy operating overhead, moving containers around as easily as children playing with toys.
After watching for a while, Fei Hu felt dizzy and lost; with such a large dock, where would they find their goods? Yingzi noticed Fei Hu's thoughts and pulled her down onto the sofa. "Let's sit down first! There's no rush; we need to take our time."
Once they settled on the sofa, Yingzi took two bottles of drinks from the fridge and tossed one to Fei Hu. Then she said, "It seems that taking initiative isn't going to work; we can't find a way in. Let's adopt a wait-and-see approach instead—patience is key. What do you think?"
"Are you suggesting we stake out at the entrance of the dock?" Fei Hu asked excitedly after taking a sip of her drink.
Yingzi chuckled lightly: "Smart! It's a bit of a waste for you not to be a police officer; you catch on quickly."
Fei Hu shook his head and said, "I'm afraid that's not possible. With such a large dock and so many big gates, there are only the two of us. Who knows which gate they will use? If we wait in the wrong place, we might never see them again."
"Hey, I just said you were smart, and now you're getting confused! Everything has its patterns. With so many gates, is it possible that they would all let them through? That's impossible. It's just like taking a flight; there are schedules, and don't they separate the terminals?"
When Fei Hu heard this, he suddenly realized that Yingzi was the one who was truly clever. He began to suspect Yingzi's identity; why was she always so professional when analyzing problems? It was as if she had received special training. Even if she had served in the military, there shouldn't be training in this area! The more he thought about it, the more he felt that Yingzi resembled a police officer.
"What are you thinking? Why are you silent?" Yingzi suddenly asked as she glanced at the dazed Fei Hu.
Fei Hu looked Yingzi up and down and smiled, "I feel like you’re a police officer. Your logical reasoning is really strong; ordinary people wouldn’t think of these things."
Yingzi was taken aback for a moment but then burst into laughter: "You have a Divine Essence problem! Why are you pondering over me instead of the issues? Let me tell you, I’m as pure as jade, so don’t think too much; otherwise, you'll have to bear the consequences." After saying this, Yingzi picked up her luggage and went into the room.
Fei Hu sat alone on the sofa, secretly cursing, "Pure my foot; it's only a matter of time."
"Brother Tiger, this girl went straight to the airport. I don't know which flight she took, so I can't determine where she went. Also, there’s a little security guard who appeared at the airport. However, he was accompanied by a rich woman I've never seen before driving a Cayenne. This guy went straight through security. I checked the flights during this time; there are some going north and some going south. It's really hard to determine where he actually went," Little Four reported to Ye Wu, who was half-reclining on the sofa.
Ye Wu pondered for a moment, sat up straight, and looked at Little Four: "I heard you've been visiting your aunt often lately. Have you taken a liking to her beauty? You really have no taste! Once it's done, I won't treat you unfairly," Ye Wu said as he stood up with a rare smile on his face.
Little Four nodded and quietly asked, "Brother Tiger, if we find out that these two pose a threat to us after we arrive..."
Ye Wu's expression darkened as he gritted his teeth and said, "If that's the case, once we deal with them, we need to act quickly and cleanly. We don't have any acquaintances over there, so if something goes wrong, it won't be easy to settle. You all need to keep this in mind; we must leave no traces. If anything happens, you should know how the Four Great Kings handled things back in the day!"
Little Four listened to Ye Wu's words and began to feel anxious. This outing seemed perilous; Yingzi was a formidable character he had encountered before. If this little security guard truly was the one they had been hunting for months, then their chances of returning alive were slim. Moreover, Ye Wu had mentioned the Four Great Kings again, which clearly indicated that if anything went wrong, they would take the blame. Thinking of this made Little Four's legs tremble uncontrollably.
"Look at you, getting scared over such a trivial matter. You and your group are far from being comparable to the Four Great Kings of the past. However, as long as you sincerely work for me, I won't treat any of you unfairly. This mission may seem dangerous, but if you think about it carefully, it's not as bad as it seems. At that moment, a maid walked in and placed a bag on the coffee table next to Ye Wu, softly saying, "Boss, it's all here." After speaking, she turned and left.
Ye Wu pointed at the bag and smiled at Little Four, saying, "This contains fifty thousand cash. Take it out and deposit it into your card as your activity funds for this time. If it's not enough, ask Abiao for an advance; he has plenty of money on hand. Remember, your task is to deal with these two people; you don't need to get involved in anything else. Once completed, return immediately to City A. Understood?"
Little Four nodded and happily picked up the bag from the table. He weighed it uneasily before Ye Wu patted his shoulder again and said, "Looks like your legs aren't shaking anymore; this money really works wonders." Ye Wu laughed heartily.
Just then, Ye Wu's phone rang. He picked it up and answered with a forced smile, saying, "Second Brother, is there more good news? It's best not to mention any troublesome matters."
"Haha! Can there be good without bad? Let me tell you, the first batch of goods has already been shipped from the dock and is heading into the mountains. Now it's up to you.
