At 8:15, Fei Hu had just finished packing and was about to head downstairs when his phone rang. It was the time he had agreed upon with Yingzi. He took out his phone and saw that it was Yingzi calling. He quickly answered, and Yingzi said, "After you leave, go straight to the airport without making too many stops. Go through security, and we'll meet in the waiting area. I was going to pick you up, but I think I might have a tail behind me, so you can come on your own."
"Okay, no problem," Fei Hu quickly hung up the phone.
As soon as he stepped outside, he saw Alice approaching with a big smile on her face. When she saw Fei Hu, she laughed and said, "Wow! The sun must be rising in the west today; I can actually see you! Are you going far? You’re carrying such a big bag."
Fei Hu smiled and replied, "Just going back home for a visit; my grandfather is sick." After saying this, he silently cursed under his breath. His grandfather was perfectly fine; it was Early in the Morning who wished him ill. If that curse actually worked, what would he become?
"Oh! Then you should go back and check on him," Alice said jokingly as they walked down the stairs together. The weather had warmed up a bit, and Alice had already put on her beautiful short skirt. Fei Hu followed behind her, feeling his heart race. This woman really knew how to dress; everything she wore drew attention.
Fei Hu couldn't help but tease, "Alice, dressed like that on the street, the traffic police might have something to say."
"What could they possibly say? Is it not pretty?" Alice stopped in her tracks, her curves accentuated as she looked at Fei Hu.
"Oh! It's too pretty; once you hit the road, all the men driving will be staring at you. It’s either going to cause a traffic jam or an accident. Don’t you think the traffic police would have something to say about that?" Fei Hu laughed heartily as he took two steps ahead, leaving Alice behind in a daze.
Realizing that Fei Hu was teasing her, Alice wasn't having it anymore. She quickly caught up to him and playfully tugged at his ear while whispering angrily, "Hey! You keep teasing me; just wait until you come back—I'll show you what’s what!"
The close contact allowed Fei Hu to catch a whiff of Alice's delightful fragrance; it was intoxicating. He instinctively leaned closer to her, his gaze falling on her two rounded curves that seemed to playfully sway as if trying to attract his attention.
As he stared, an evil thought crossed his mind. Alice noticed Fei Hu's unusual reaction and let go of his ear. She teased him softly, "Fake man, all you can do is look." Fei Hu understood her meaning but pretended not to.
The antics of Fei Hu and Alice did not go unnoticed by several old men at the gate who were watching them closely. As they left, these old men began pointing fingers and likely gossiping about them.
Alice went to get the car while Fei Hu stood by the roadside waiting. Unexpectedly, Alice backed the car up and leaned out of the window shouting, "Get in!"
"Thank you, but no, I need to go to the airport," Fei Hu waved goodbye to Alice.
Alice glanced at Fei Hu and said somewhat displeased, "I'll take you to the airport. You can't refuse!" Seeing that Alice was unhappy, Fei Hu hurriedly opened the car door and jumped in.
The car drove along the overpass leading to the airport, and Alice wore a joyful expression. She cheerfully asked Fei Hu, "Are you really afraid of dealing with beautiful women, like me?" This woman was not modest at all.
"That's not it. That man doesn't like to associate with beautiful women. I was just thinking you are too busy running all this way to send me off, which would delay your work. After all, you are the boss," Fei Hu replied with a smile.
"That's not what I meant. I'm not just talking about this matter. For example, he thinks too much. To say something you might not want to hear, a woman like me would only attract men; how could I cling to a man as poor as you? Don't worry, I won't cling to you. We'll just go about our business and enjoy ourselves," Alice said without changing her expression. It seemed her understanding was indeed bold and straightforward, which surprised Fei Hu somewhat.
Upon arriving at the airport, Fei Hu got out of the car and thanked Alice a couple of times before heading directly to the ticket counter to exchange his ticket. He smoothly passed through security; luckily, he wasn't unfamiliar with the process since he had gone to Hong Kong with Wang Qian last time. When Fei Hu arrived at the waiting area, he saw Yingzi holding a pair of binoculars, looking out through the glass window.
"Hi! I'm here! Pretty fast, right? There's still an hour until boarding," Fei Hu said as he sat down in the empty seat next to Yingzi.
Yingzi turned around and quietly asked, "Who is she? I've never seen her before."
Feigning surprise, Fei Hu asked, "Who do you mean?"
"The beautiful woman driving the Cayenne who dropped you off. Who else could it be?" Yingzi said angrily as she playfully punched Fei Hu's arm. She was somewhat annoyed by his feigned ignorance.
Fei Hu chuckled and said, "Oh! Her name is Alice. She just returned from Australia; I guess she's a local now! She owns a beauty salon and is currently our landlord across the street. Pretty detailed explanation, right? If you didn't catch that clearly, I can tell you again."
Yingzi rolled her eyes at Fei Hu just then her phone rang. She took it out and answered, saying, "Why aren't you answering your phone? Early in the morning can't still be busy! Or is it about what I mentioned? If you have time, please help me out; I'll reward you when I get back. Oh! This number will be suspended soon; once I get a new number where I'm going, I'll contact you again. Alright! Bye!"
After finishing her call and putting her phone back in her pocket, Yingzi looked at Fei Hu and said, "You little rascal are now mixing with a whirlwind of beauties lining up around you—rich ladies and all that—not simple at all! You're completely different from the Fei Hu I knew back then; I'm truly impressed!"
Fei Hu scratched his head awkwardly and said, "It's not as exaggerated as you say. What rich woman? Where is she? Besides, am I that kind of person?"
"Cut it out! You're just too embarrassed to admit it. Wasn't the one who sent you just now either a rich woman or a wealthy sister? Just look at her; she obviously has a husband. What are you trying to argue about?" Yingzi said, kicking Fei Hu's foot in frustration.
Fei Hu still refused to give in and muttered softly, "Anyway, she's currently single. Besides, whether she's rich or not is none of my business. She's just my neighbor."
Yingzi didn't expect Fei Hu to be so stubborn today. She shot him an annoyed glare and turned her face away. Fei Hu also felt something was off about this woman today; why couldn't she let go of this matter? In truth, he didn't understand women's thoughts at all.
Finally, the announcement for boarding began, but Fei Hu felt uneasy. Ye Xiaofei was really something! No matter what, he was going out of town for her family's matters; she should at least make a phone call! However, Fei Hu still didn't receive any call. Just before boarding, he reluctantly took out his phone and saw, to his dismay, that it had shut down at such a critical moment.
Fei Hu pressed the power button several times in annoyance, but the phone showed no response. It seemed like it was truly dead this time. Yingzi glanced over with a hint of amusement and tilted her head when she saw Fei Hu's phone had malfunctioned. She couldn't help but laugh, saying, "Big brother, you should have thrown that away long ago. A grown man using such a phone is quite embarrassing."
"If you want me to throw it away, then buy me a new one!" Fei Hu shouted unhappily upon hearing her. He was both pained by the money and thought that the phone wasn't bad at all; it had cost him around seven or eight hundred yuan and had served him well for two years. Those phones costing several thousand yuan weren't necessarily better.
Originally, according to the ticket, Fei Hu should have been sitting by the window. However, Yingzi seemed to be deliberately causing trouble and insisted on sitting by the window instead. Fei Hu shrugged and smiled at Yingzi, saying, "Sitting in the aisle isn't bad either; it's convenient to see the flight attendant." He kept his eyes fixed on a flight attendant walking toward them.
"Pervert, lecher!" Yingzi whispered into Fei Hu's ear with a teasing tone.
Oh! This woman even wore perfume today; it smelled quite nice! Fei Hu couldn't help but lean closer to Yingzi and said, "This perfume smells really good."
Yingzi smiled upon hearing this and softly asked, "Are you serious?" Fei Hu shrugged and nodded in response.
