Ni Ling shook her head and said, "No, Old Master Ye is a decent person. Although he is considered a gang figure, many of the things he does are respected by us at the police station. Have you had any contact with Ye Wu? His reputation seems to be much worse compared to Ye Cheng."

Logically speaking, since Yingzi and Ni Ling were so close, she should have asked Yingzi instead of him, which left Fei Hu feeling somewhat puzzled.

A beautiful woman like her actually doesn't have a boyfriend; Fei Hu couldn't help but feel delighted upon hearing this.
By the time they returned home, it was already past ten o'clock. The dinner left Fei Hu feeling unsettled for a long time—partly due to the questions Ni Ling had asked him and partly because she said she didn't have a boyfriend, which genuinely made him happy. However, he soon realized that this had nothing to do with him; it seemed he had fallen into infatuation.
The next day at work, the atmosphere in the office was evidently tense. Team Leader Wang secretly told Fei Hu that there were significant internal adjustments happening in the company and that many people might be laid off. The rumors were swirling around, but Fei Hu couldn't figure out where they were coming from.
Around nine o'clock, the phone on his desk rang. Fei Hu picked it up and said very formally, "Hello! First floor lobby, how can I assist you?"
"I'm the chairman. Wait a moment; you need to take Miss Ye to the Corporate Management Office. She has a meeting to attend. Just drive her there; remember, it's not just driving—you're also her bodyguard. While she's in the meeting, wait in the car and don't wander off. If anything happens to Miss Ye, I won't let you off easily," Ye Wei said before abruptly hanging up the phone.
Fei Hu extended his index finger and cursed at the phone, "Damn it, I'm a driver again." However, he quickly reconsidered; this job wasn't so bad after all! Driving a luxury car with beautiful women and getting to go out for a spin sounded quite pleasant. Sitting here doing nothing was pointless, just going back and forth over trivial matters would bore anyone to death. As he thought of this, Fei Hu suddenly remembered Helena. If it weren't for her help, he wouldn't have gotten such a nice gig.
Just as Fei Hu was feeling disgruntled, the HR department's Xiao Li approached him with a smile. "Hurry up and change your clothes! You can't go out in security uniform today; it's an important meeting for major companies in the city. You need to make Sheng Wei proud."
"Make what proud? I'm just a driver; I won't even be on camera. Besides, I really don't have any decent clothes. I might as well wear this security uniform and look spirited," Fei Hu joked while standing up to tidy his desk.
Miss Li chuckled and said, "Stop pretending! Several women here have run into you outside and said you look like a star in that outfit—so cool and handsome! A few young girls even asked me to set them up with you for dinner."
"Oh! You're really good at flattering me; you're going to make me feel like I'm on top of the world. But as for dinner, I won't invite anyone else—just you, Miss Li. How about that? I'm not too bad of a person, am I?" Fei Hu nodded playfully at Miss Li.
At that moment, Ye Xiaofei walked out of the elevator and asked Miss Li, "Is the driver arranged? The route and address need to be given to him; make sure he doesn't take any detours."
"Don't worry; I've arranged everything," Miss Li replied casually.
As soon as Ye Xiaofei exited the lobby, Miss Li hurriedly handed Fei Hu a piece of paper saying, "The map and address are all on here. You handle it yourself; if you get confused, it's on you." This woman came in chatting away and only got around to giving him the important details now. Seeing that Ye Xiaofei had already left, Fei Hu didn't dare delay and grabbed the map before rushing out.
Once he reached the parking lot, he saw Ye Xiaofei standing there on the phone. Fei Hu nervously took the car keys handed to him by the security guard. Upon seeing it was the company's S350, he thought, "Speeding! Another dazzling car." Wasn't this supposed to be driven by a dedicated chauffeur? Why was he suddenly assigned this today?
Fei Hu opened the car door and sat down. After looking at the map and address for a moment, he realized it wasn't far away—just on the outskirts of town with a simple layout. He memorized the route after glancing at it once.
After finishing her call, Ye Xiaofei opened the car door and sat down. Seeing Fei Hu in the driver's seat surprised her. "Why are you driving? Where's the regular driver?"
As Fei Hu started the car, he replied softly, "I don't know; the chairman personally called me to drive you and said I needed to protect you."
Ye Xiaofei fell silent, seemingly lost in thought. After the car exited the company gate and traveled a short distance, she suddenly called from the back seat, "Pull over to the side of the road."
Fei Hu didn't understand her intention but complied, stopping the car at the roadside. Ye Xiaofei opened the door, jumped out, and then turned around to enter through the front door, smiling as she said, "Let's sit closer and have a chat."
Ah! So that's what she meant. Fei Hu smiled as the car started moving again. He felt quite happy; it seemed Ye Xiaofei was in a good mood today. So he jokingly asked her, "Are you looking down on me for driving?"
Ye Xiaofei smiled lightly and replied, "Nonsense. I'm just afraid of bothering you. Besides, there's always someone assigned to drive this car. It's a bit strange to suddenly have you today."
Upon hearing this, Fei Hu realized that Ye Xiaofei thought that way. However, he couldn't figure out what was off about it, so he shook his head helplessly and said, "Don't think too much about it. Didn't Grandpa say that you should remain calm in action? Just wait and see what they come up with."
Ye Xiaofei nodded and joked with Fei Hu. They soon arrived at the Business Management Office. Looking at the rows of luxury cars, it was clear that today's attendees were not ordinary people.
As Ye Xiaofei stepped into the venue, Fei Hu parked the car in a sunny spot and reclined his seat; he intended to take a good nap.
Meanwhile, in a private room of a massage parlor, Little Four stood with his head lowered in front of a woman. Up close, she appeared to be in her forties or fifties, but from a distance, her alluring and seductive figure could easily be mistaken for that of a woman in her twenties. This woman was Ye Wu, whom they referred to as their aunt.
Little Four didn't know why he acted like a servant around her; he stood there silently with his head bowed and hands hanging down when his aunt leisurely scolded him, "You're really useless. I treat you so well usually, yet when I ask you to handle something, you end up like this. Do you think you deserve all the cash I've given you?"
Little Four lowered his voice and said, "It's all my fault for not doing my job well and disappointing your expectations. However, this matter is indeed a bit strange; no one could have anticipated it. But judging solely from this point, he might not necessarily be the person we're looking for. After such a long time, he should have come out already and has even contacted Ye Cheng. Yet Ye Cheng seems completely uninterested in this matter as if he's forgotten about it altogether. Are we being too cautious?"
"Idiot! A cautious approach leads to long-lasting success!" His aunt suddenly exploded in anger. Little Four's face changed instantly; could this woman really be that formidable?
