Zhang Rui is extremely confused about his current situation. He doesn't know where he is, and the existence of the White Fox Immortal and the mysterious world of the Shadow Realm only adds to his confusion. He hopes that the White Fox Immortal can explain to him where he currently is.
The White Fox Immortal smiles and expresses understanding of Zhang Rui's confusion, then begins to explain: "The place you are in now is called the 'Shadow Realm.' White Fox Immortal continues to share the history of Shadow Realm in a low and mysterious voice.

Each world had its own order and laws, but regardless, the long-standing conflict between the heavens and the underworld always disrupted the peace of the human realm. Humans lived in fear, not knowing when they would be swept into the vortex of this war."
She continued, "Humanity began to pray for the help of the Creator god, hoping to end this endless war. The Creator god listened to their prayers and decided to permanently separate the three realms to protect the peace of the human realm. The heavens, the underworld, and the human realm were permanently divided, each world existing independently, and humanity finally obtained the long-awaited peace."
Her voice became more serious, "However, even though the three realms were separated, the long-standing war between the heavens and the underworld has left a profound impact. At the boundary between the human realm and the underworld, the power of magic and resentment gradually eroded a part of the human realm, forming the current Shadow Realm. This place is a transitional zone mixed with magic and dark forces, connecting the underworld and the human realm, and is influenced by the long-standing war between these two worlds."
"Currently, the Shadow Realm has become a dwelling place for many mysterious creatures and evil forces. It is filled with various peculiar creatures, some being messengers of hell, while others are monsters born from the Shadow Realm itself. Their existence makes this place dangerous and uncertain, while also allowing malevolent forces to enter the human realm."
White Fox Immortal continued to explain, her voice carrying a deep understanding and sense of mission towards the Shadow Realm. "As I mentioned before, the connection between the Shadow Realm and the human realm always exists. Although we have tried to impose sealing spells to maintain the separation, due to the deep-rooted nature of the connection, there are still times when creatures from the Shadow Realm accidentally enter the human realm, and sometimes even intentionally. Similarly, there are occasional residents of the human realm who enter the Shadow Realm."
She continued to explain, "That's why the existence of the 'Shadow League' is crucial. Our mission is to maintain peace between the Shadow Realm and all other realms, ensuring that this connection does not have any adverse effects on any party. Our members come from various backgrounds and possess different abilities, but our common goal is to prevent the creatures of the Shadow Realm from causing harm while protecting the Shadow Realm from external threats."
Zhang Rui listened to White Fox Immortal's explanation and slowly began to understand the truth of the world he was in. He took a deep breath and then cautiously said, "So... all those mysterious events, urban legends, they're all real?"
White Fox Immortal nodded slightly, her eyes filled with understanding and sympathy. "Yes, Zhang Rui. Many mysterious phenomena and legends have their origins in the Shadow Realm. You will now become a protector of this world, facing these mysterious creatures and ensuring the safety of the human realm."
Zhang Rui felt quite shocked; he had only been curious and exploratory about these things before, but he never thought he would become a part of it. His mind was filled with doubt and challenge, but at the same time, there was a hint of excitement.
Zhang Rui's curiosity was further ignited by White Fox Immortal's explanation, and he asked, "So how did I enter the Shadow Realm? I remember I just touched an ancient object, and then..."
White Fox Immortal interrupted him, "That object is a product of the Shadow Realm, it possesses special power. White Fox Immortal continues to explain, "Ordinary people cannot freely enter the Shadow Realm. The magical energy here is three to five times higher than in the human world. Imagine it like the gravity on Earth. When you are used to the gravity on Earth, if suddenly you have to bear a higher gravity elsewhere, you would feel extremely uncomfortable and even at risk of your life. The magical energy in the Shadow Realm is the same for humans."
She continues to elaborate, "The reason you can survive here is because your body and soul have undergone a certain degree of change, allowing you to adapt to this environment. But it also means that you will always be isolated from the life of ordinary people, because your existence has already transcended the limitations of humans."
Zhang Rui nodded, and he began to understand that his life was completely different from before. His horizons were broadened, and he saw a world full of mystery and danger.
