"Ha ha ha, what a young man! Strong and sturdy, truly a good material for martial arts training, just like I was when I was young," Old Chief laughed, inviting Fei Hu to sit on the sofa.
The sudden change from cold to warm left Fei Hu momentarily unable to accept it. Just last night he was a prisoner, and today he was sitting side by side with the police chief. Fei Hu felt as if he were dreaming; life really had a way of playing tricks on people!

Fei Hu finished his tea in one gulp and then looked up with a smile. "What can I help you with? You’re not going to send me with Officer Ni to catch bad guys, are you?" Fei Hu said, laughing at his own joke.
Seeing that Fei Hu's mood was stabilizing, Old Chief and Ni Ling shared a knowing smile. Ni Ling poured another cup of tea for Fei Hu and sat down, saying, "Actually, it's pretty much what I just mentioned. However, we need you to operate alone. Unexpectedly, we found the person we were looking for—Lai Er—was taken down by you. He was one of the culprits and died from an overdose after injecting drugs. The excitement from running away after attacking you accelerated his blood circulation, leading to his death on the spot. The woman you saved is named Bai Jing; she is the main culprit in this case."
Upon hearing this, Fei Hu finally understood that Lai Er had died an untimely death. He wondered what the police chief's true intention was in telling him all this.
Ni Ling continued where the chief left off: "Bai Jing is a drug dealer. A year ago her boyfriend—who is also her partner—known by the alias Blackie was arrested during a violent brawl. There were five people arrested at that time, but we still haven't confirmed his identity among them. So this time we want you to infiltrate their circle and help us find out who Blackie is."

Upon hearing this, Fei Hu felt that the situation was becoming more serious. It was then that Fei Hu realized how late it had gotten.
In a room where female prisoners were held, Xu Ling sat at a table with Fei Hu and a female police officer. Opposite them sat Bai Jing. It was only then that Fei Hu realized what kind of woman he had saved last night. Bai Jing, true to her name, was indeed fair and clean-looking. If it weren't for her current situation, her slightly haggard appearance would surely reveal that she was a beauty.

Once Bai Jing finished speaking, she lowered her head quietly like a wilting white peony.
As they walked out of Bai Jing's room, Ni Ling smiled and asked Fei Hu, "You aren't angry with me, are you? Using such methods and leaving you inside."
"I won't be. This matter is actually simple; as long as Blackie makes a move and I can subdue him, just by looking behind his left ear I can confirm whether he is Blackie or not." Although Fei Hu said this with his mouth, he still felt somewhat anxious inside.
The night was already very deep. Lying in bed with his hands behind his head, Fei Hu gazed at the dim light in the room. His heart was filled with endless longing. Although he had only been here for a short day, it felt as though he had been here for several years. He thought of his grandfather, Sun Li, Yingzi, but most of all he missed Ye Xiaofei.
