Ye Wu did not expect to be under the old man's control again, and he felt extremely displeased. This time, he didn't lash out but was worried about another matter: how did his aunt get a gun? If something went wrong, he would be in trouble. 0

"Little Four, come in for a moment," Ye Wu called out to the spacious living room on the first floor. 0

The door opened, and Little Four entered with his head down, looking panicked. He thought Ye Wu was going to explode with anger over the gun that had been taken two days ago. Ye Wu glanced at Little Four and lowered his voice, gently asking, "Little Four, you said the guns in your hands were given to you by your aunt?" 0

Ye Wu's overly gentle tone surprised Little Four. After years of being beaten and kicked by this person, he felt like a traitor in enemy territory. He was just here to collect a paycheck, so when he heard Ye Wu ask that question, his heart sank. Did Ye Wu catch wind of something? If so, his life could be in danger; he had experienced Ye Wu's ruthless methods—cruel, cold-blooded, and utterly inhumane—which made everyone fear him. 0

"Are you stupid? I'm asking you a question!" Ye Wu raised his voice involuntarily. 0

Little Four trembled and quickly replied, "Yes, boss, it was given by my aunt." 0

Ye Wu pondered for a moment and said, "Tell me the details of how she gave it to you or what else she said." 0

Little Four's eyes darted around as he thought it best to tell the truth. Any issues were between them; he had no reason to get involved since he couldn't afford to offend either of them. So he took a step closer to Ye Wu and said, "That night when you asked me to go to the northern suburbs, I had just left when I got a call from my aunt. She told me to rush over to her place. I had no choice but to call two of the Brothers and head over. When I got there, she said you were in trouble and asked me to help out. Then she handed each of us a gun." 0

"Are they all empty guns?" Ye Wu looked at Little Four, fearing he might be lying. 0

Little Four stretched his back and sighed, "No, my gun has bullets; the others' guns are empty. My aunt said they should just scare people with them. Mine shouldn't be fired unless absolutely necessary." 0

Ye Wu nodded, his tone filled with calmness. He smiled and said, "Little Four, you've been with me for many years; even if you haven't contributed much, you've worked hard. I can't treat you unfairly. Starting next month, I'll raise your salary by one level." 0

Little Four was taken aback; he thought he misheard. This was the first time such good news had come after so many years. He quickly said, "Thank you, boss! I will do my best in my duties." 0

Ye Wu waved his hand dismissively as Little Four exited. Immediately afterward, Ye Wu's brow furrowed again. His aunt—she seemed to know everything about him and even gave them guns. This wasn't saving him; it was putting him in danger. This woman was somewhat sinister; it seemed he had to be on guard. 0

At that moment, Ye Wu's driver Abiao knocked on the door and walked in. He smiled slightly and said, "Big Brother, I've found out that Little Four has been getting close to your aunt lately. The Brothers say Little Four often spends the night at her club and has even gotten involved with a girl there." 0

"Looks like this kid has been sold out," Ye Wu replied. "Just keep this between us; no one else can know about it. Treat Little Four as before—don't alarm him. However, I need you to handle what I've arranged immediately: replace all those little leaders who are close to Little Four with your own people. You also need to train five capable individuals for me; I'll assign them to manage different areas starting tomorrow. You won't need to drive anymore; just focus on what I've arranged for you. Do you understand?" Ye Wu stood up and stuffed a stack of cash into Abiao's pocket. 0

Abiao immediately bowed his head respectfully and said, "Big Brother, rest assured; I will take care of this." 0

The clock on the wall chimed clearly in Ye Cheng's study, where no one spoke. Ye Xiaofei, dressed in pajamas with a coat draped over her shoulders, had clearly been asleep and was now called awake. Yingzi, still in her daytime clothes, yawned twice, indicating that it was already quite late. 0

"I thought about it for a long time and decided to wake everyone up so we can discuss the gun situation. Please share any good ideas you have," Ye Cheng said, full of energy and showing no signs of sleepiness. 0

After a moment of thought, Ye Xiaofei replied, "Just hand it over! Give it to the police." 0

"That won't work at all. If you hand it over, they'll definitely ask about the source of the gun. This would just complicate things and even involve us. It could lead to a situation we can't explain," Yingzi immediately opposed. 0

Ye Cheng glanced at Sister Wu sitting nearby, clearly wanting to hear her opinion. 0

Sister Wu remained silent for a while, evidently considering how to handle the matter more cautiously. While it seemed like a trivial matter, mishandling it could lead to a major incident, so she hesitated to speak. 0

"Feel free to say whatever you think! Don't hold back too much; we're here to discuss this," Ye Cheng said kindly to Sister Wu. 0

Finally, Sister Wu cleared her throat and said, "I believe we shouldn't hand over the gun. We should keep it but not leave it here. If someone complains and it's found during a search, the consequences could be serious. We should move it to the suburbs where it's safer; that should be fine." 0

"The suburbs? Where exactly? I don't know any places," Ye Xiaofei asked in surprise. 0

Ye Cheng chuckled and said, "Silly girl, you've been in America for years; I can't ask you about everything! I have a villa in the suburbs registered under Sister Wu's name, so no one knows about it. It's a place I use for emergencies; if something happens, we can go there. You don't have any objections, do you?" 0

"Well... Grandpa always jokes about me," Ye Xiaofei said, lowering her head shyly. The others in the room laughed, and the atmosphere lightened considerably. 0

Ye Cheng stood up and glanced at the clock on the wall before softly saying to Sister Wu, "It’s going to be tough for you; you need to leave right away with Yingzi to take the gun to a safe place. We can't delay this; I have a feeling something is going to happen." 0

Sister Wu smiled gently and said, "Alright! We'll head out immediately. It's best not to drive; let's take a taxi and switch vehicles along the way for safety." 0

Yingzi nodded and said, "Sister Wu has thought this through very well; let's go right away!" 0

Ye Cheng waved his hand and quietly instructed, "Take the elevator down to the basement, then open the ventilation fan and crawl out; that will get us outside the villa. Sister Wu has the keys." 0

Sister Wu nodded and quickly left with Yingzi. 0

Ye Xiaofei looked confused and asked Ye Cheng, "Grandpa, why are we avoiding the front door? Can Sister Wu really fit through that basement window?" 0

Ye Cheng smiled lightly and said, "Child, you are too naive. Your way of thinking is not mature at all. You should take some time to learn from Yingzi. We are currently surrounded on all sides. Outside the villa, or even inside, there are countless eyes watching us. We need to be very careful with every move we make. Last time, Xiaojun was the best example." 0

Upon hearing this, Ye Xiaofei suddenly realized that she really needed to learn from Yingzi. 0

After a long night of commotion, when dawn broke, Sister Wu and Yingzi returned together, followed by someone delivering groceries. Sister Li, who was cleaning the living room, smiled at Sister Wu and said, "Sister Wu, you're really early! You must not have slept at all just to buy fresh vegetables!" 0

"Hahaha, you’re absolutely right," Sister Wu laughed with a few of the housekeepers and went upstairs with Yingzi. 0

Ye Cheng was practicing martial arts on the balcony when he saw Sister Wu and Yingzi. He quietly asked, "Is everything ready?" 0

Sister Wu nodded and was about to head back to her room when Sister Li, who had been sweeping the floor, rushed up. Out of breath, she said, "Boss, Major Incident! It's bad! A lot of police have arrived and surrounded the villa. Some armed officers are already in the living room!" 0

Ye Cheng let out a sigh and calmly told Sister Li, "It's fine. You can go downstairs. I'll be down shortly." 0

Ye Cheng exchanged a knowing smile with Sister Wu, called out to Ye Xiaofei and Yingzi, and they all headed downstairs to find several housekeepers waiting for them. 0

A police officer approached, showed his badge, and asked loudly, "Are you the homeowner Ye Cheng?" 0

Ye Cheng nodded and replied, "I am Ye Cheng." 0

"There has been a report stating that you are illegally possessing firearms in your home. Here is the search warrant," the officer said as he revealed a document stamped with a red seal. 0
