Unable to care about so much anymore, after all, losing his virginity was worth celebrating. One day, when Fei Hu didn't go to work, he spent the entire afternoon entangled with Sun Li.
The two enjoyed themselves, chatting openly. That day, Fei Hu gained a lot; he realized that the teachings of his grandfather were no longer suitable for navigating this society. One must not forget their roots or morals, but they must also adapt to the trends; otherwise, they would only be sidelined. This was what Sun Li told him, as during their relationship, she discovered Fei Hu's rigidity and innocence. Ironically, these traits were his greatest obstacles in this city.
Strong and ruthless, Fei Hu kept muttering these two words while standing in the lobby. Helena walked over, slightly displeased, saying, "You were chasing girls yesterday and today you're here talking about Divine Essence."
"No way! Where are there any girls for me to chase?" Fei Hu protested vigorously.
Helena rolled her eyes at him and said, "The phone is answered by women. You still want to play innocent? Whether you chased anyone is none of my business. I just casually asked. By the way, your passport has been processed. Aren't you happy?"
"Passport? What passport?" Fei Hu was a bit confused.
Helena sneered, "You're such an idiot. Aren't you supposed to accompany Vice President Wang on a business trip to Hong Kong? How can you go without a passport? Let me tell you, it's better for you to stay away from that woman." As she spoke, she leaned in closer, the last two sentences were almost a whisper.
Fei Hu sighed and said, "How can I stay away? She's the Vice President; unless I quit my job here."
Helena shook her head with a strange smile and said, "She's got you wrapped around her finger."
What does that mean? Is she going to eat people? Fei Hu looked at Helena as she walked away, still unable to comprehend the meaning behind her last words.
Ye Xiaofei sat in her office, unable to focus on work. The events of the previous night left her feeling uneasy. She couldn't understand how her grandfather and two uncles had come to this point, completely disregarding familial ties. Even for the sake of profit, Third Uncle shouldn't have been so ruthless as to resort to using a gun; it was chilling just to think about it.
Suddenly, she recalled the young man who came with Yingzi that night. Although he wore a mask, it was still evident that he was somewhat handsome, especially his skills; he moved as if he were in a movie. Who exactly was he? When she asked Yingzi about him, she was vague and seemed unwilling to say much. That lecherous security guard also had impressive skills; it seemed Yingzi knew too little.
Ye Xiaofei paced back and forth in her office when her eyes fell on two potted plants in the corner. Suddenly an idea struck her; she couldn't let that lecher get away with it. Just thinking about what happened in the elevator made Ye Xiaofei blush even now. Although she had lived in America for a long time, she never got used to that Western lifestyle. It was the first time in her life that a strange man had seen her body.
With this thought in mind, Ye Xiaofei revealed a mysterious smile and picked up the phone on her desk: "Hello! Come up to the President's Office right now. Make sure it's you who comes up; don't send someone else."
When Fei Hu heard Ye Xiaofei calling him to come up, he felt both happy and worried. He knew that this woman rarely contacted him for good reasons, and he was aware that Ye Xiaofei had been troubled by what happened in the elevator. It seemed she wanted to get close to him, but this deadlock was impossible to break; everything felt futile.
Fei Hu arrived at Ye Xiaofei's door and thought to himself that since he no longer had a good image in her eyes, he might as well let go a bit. With that in mind, he knocked on the door and, without waiting for Ye Xiaofei to invite him in, pushed the door open and walked inside.
In the room, Ye Xiaofei was facing away from the door, looking out the window. Seizing the opportunity, Fei Hu took a moment to glance at her. She was wearing a light yellow short skirt that showcased her beautiful figure, accentuating her curvy hips, which created a small bulge in the skirt. Below it were her two snow-white thighs, evoking all sorts of thoughts.
"Did I say you could come in?" Ye Xiaofei suddenly turned around. Seeing Fei Hu's lecherous expression made her even angrier.
Fei Hu quickly straightened his face and said, "I knocked."
"Even if you knocked, you still need my permission. Get out; Zeng Xin has been here," Ye Xiaofei said with a raised eyebrow, looking somewhat intimidating.
If she wanted him to leave, then so be it; it wasn't a big deal. The angrier she got, the happier he felt, Fei Hu thought as he walked out of the room. He raised his hand and knocked twice before hearing Ye Xiaofei call from inside, "Come in."
When Fei Hu entered again, he noticed a slight smile at the corner of Ye Xiaofei's mouth. He immediately understood that this woman was looking for trouble again and might have some new tricks up her sleeve; he needed to be cautious.
"Hey! I heard you have great strength. How about this? I won't ask anyone else; you move those two potted plants over to the window where they won't get too much sun," Ye Xiaofei said while pointing with her hand.
Fei Hu looked at the potted plants and thought to himself that each one must weigh at least two hundred pounds. Clearly, she was trying to make things difficult for him. However, two hundred pounds was manageable for him; if it were someone else, they would really struggle. His strength came from both his natural abilities and the rigorous training his grandfather had given him, so he wasn't afraid.
"Why aren't you saying anything? Are you a bit scared? You look like you have a good physique but seem useless after all. Should I find someone else?" Ye Xiaofei deliberately provoked Fei Hu with her words, which he understood perfectly.
Fei Hu glanced at Ye Xiaofei, placed his hat on the table, and muttered softly, "I never said I wouldn't move them."
Ye Xiaofei secretly laughed to herself; she thought to herself that she'd make him regret being so stubborn.
Fei Hu bent down and wrapped his arms around one of the pots. To his surprise, it felt heavier than he had estimated. The pot was also smooth and slippery, making it difficult to grip properly. After struggling for quite some time, he still couldn't lift it off the ground.
Covering her mouth and watching the excitement, Ye Xiaofei said at the right moment, "Be careful not to break it; this bonsai is worth more than your salary."
Fei Hu nearly exploded with anger upon hearing this. This woman always used this to pressure him. He secretly cursed her in his heart, thinking that one day he would pin her down and show her the true power of Fei Hu. He could curse all he wanted, but he had to move the bonsai; otherwise, this woman would look down on him and find another way to mock him.
Fei Hu looked around for a while but didn't manage to move it an inch, leaving him drenched in sweat. Suddenly, he slapped his forehead, realizing how foolish he had been. Why did he have to lift it? It was so heavy; he could just push it little by little. This would save him a lot of effort. With this thought, Fei Hu felt delighted and immediately got to work. Sure enough, this method worked well, and in no time, he had moved both bonsais to the window. Ye Xiaofei looked disappointed, not expecting this man to be so strong.
At that moment, Wang Qian walked in. She seemed to be looking for Ye Xiaofei to sign something. Upon seeing Fei Hu, she first smiled charmingly and then exclaimed in surprise, "What are you doing? Isn't it nice here? The sun shines through the window; it's not good for the bonsai to be in direct sunlight every day. Besides, who can see it there? It's blocked by the desk!"
Ye Xiaofei's face lit up upon hearing this. She chuckled and said, "You're right! How did I not think of that? Then please help me move it back to its original place." Ye Xiaofei waved at Fei Hu, who was already at the door.
Fei Hu nearly fainted with anger upon hearing this. It was all Wang Qian's fault for being so talkative; couldn't she keep her mouth shut until he left? Wang Qian looked at the sweating Fei Hu and couldn't help but pat him on the back, saying, "You’re really strong; you’re practically invincible!"
Ye Xiaofei shot a glare at Wang Qian as if blaming her for being so frivolous with her subordinate.
Seeing that Ye Xiaofei was no longer paying attention to her, Wang Qian felt it was pointless and turned to leave.
Suppressing his anger, Fei Hu struggled to move the two bonsais back to their original positions. Only then did he realize that the breakfast he had eaten earlier was long gone; he felt both thirsty and hungry. Just as he was about to leave, Ye Xiaofei smiled and said, "Don't blame me! I thought it looked fine where it was, but Vice President Wang insisted it didn't look good, so I had no choice but to move it. It wasn't too tiring for you, was it?"
"Piece of cake. Do you want me to move it back again?" Fei Hu replied irritably.
Ye Xiaofei pretended not to understand his tone and laughed, "Sure! If you have the strength, moving it back would be best."
Upon hearing this, Fei Hu nearly fainted again. That venomous-hearted woman! He secretly cursed in his heart.
