Suddenly, Yingzi's phone rang. As soon as she answered, a joyful expression appeared on her face, and she said excitedly, "We're at the convenience store in the shed area, a man and a woman, facing inside and drinking beer."
After hanging up, Yingzi glanced at Fei Hu and signaled, "The reinforcements I called have arrived. You should put on your mask!"
Hey! Reinforcements, not borrowed help; it seems things are going well! Fei Hu chuckled to himself but quickly put on his mask. Seeing this, Fat Girl nervously said, "Please don't cause any trouble in our store; we can't handle it."
Fei Hu smiled and gestured for her to be quiet.
A moment later, two men in their thirties entered the store. Both were very muscular. Fei Hu took a quick glance and could tell they were definitely fighters just by looking at their tightly defined muscles.
One of the men, sporting a beard, surveyed the small shop before cupping his hands in front of Yingzi and asking, "Did you make the call?"
Yingzi hurriedly clasped her hands together and replied, "Yes, it was me."
"Oh! What proof do you have?" the bearded man asked with a skeptical look.
Yingzi was taken aback for a moment before quickly reaching into her collar to pull out a piece of jade. The young man glanced at it, and his expression changed immediately. He lowered his head and said, "I apologize for not recognizing your status. What orders do you have for us?"
"Haha, ignorance is no crime. Just the two of you?" Yingzi crossed her arms over her shoulders, looking very much like a boss. Fei Hu found it amusing; their dialogue sounded like something from a script. Could they really be part of a gang?
"Boss, I'm Biaozi, and this is Steel. Each of us has brought twenty people. If that's not enough, we can call more right away," the man who introduced himself as Biaozi said expressionlessly.
Fei Hu couldn't help but interject when he heard that so many people might not be enough. "That's plenty! Absolutely enough! Just lead them out to take care of business."
Biaozi glanced at the masked Fei Hu and quietly asked Yingzi, "Who is this?"
"My friend. What he says goes; follow his instructions and quickly bring everyone outside to wait for us," Yingzi commanded like a true leader.
Biaozi and Steel nodded and stepped back out. Yingzi turned to Fei Hu and said, "You should come with us to take care of this. If you go back like this and they find out who you are, it won't be safe for you here."
Fei Hu thought for a moment, nodded, and quietly said to Fat Girl, "Keep the accounts." After saying that, he prepared to walk outside.
Yingzi smiled, took out a hundred-dollar bill from her pocket, placed it on the counter, and softly said, "Deposit it here. Whatever he spends will be deducted from this." Fat Girl rolled her eyes in disbelief.
When Fei Hu and Yingzi came out, over forty people were already waiting at the alley entrance. Biaozi stepped forward and whispered, "It seems there are two groups here. One is Brother Tiger's, and the other... I don't know what they're up to." Upon hearing this, Fei Hu thought, oh no! Things have escalated tonight; even Brother Tiger's crew is out. It looks like they are really going to clash with the gang.
Yingzi glanced at Fei Hu, wanting to hear his opinion, but Fei Hu had no idea what the fight was about tonight; he was completely in the dark. However, regardless of the reason, the priority was to get out of this alley. The main road outside had police patrolling; no matter how tough these people were, they wouldn't dare to attack with weapons. With that in mind, Fei Hu said to Yingzi, "Let's all head out together. Whoever blocks our way, we'll take them on. Our goal is to break through this alley."
Yingzi was deeply impressed by Fei Hu and immediately said, "Everyone follow me!" She waved her hand and walked briskly toward the alley entrance alongside Fei Hu.
The alley was no more than two hundred meters deep. Just as they had walked halfway through, suddenly a group of twenty or thirty people rushed out from another alley. They were clearly fewer than those behind Fei Hu, but their leader was very arrogant. He shouted loudly, "Leave that short-haired woman; everyone else can go."
"How arrogant!" Fei Hu thought. Without saying a word, he suddenly unleashed his power, leaping into the air with a fierce move aimed at the guy who had shouted. In an instant, chaos erupted in the alley.
Unexpectedly, Biaozi and Steel were both strong fighters; their subordinates were not weak either. In just a moment, the group of yellow-haired thugs was sent fleeing with their heads down and disappeared from sight.
Seeing this, Yingzi waved her hand for everyone to quickly gather at the alley entrance. Fei Hu thought they would definitely make it out this time; however, just then a cold voice called out, "Please stop! Put down what you have in your hands; otherwise, tonight's events are far from over."
With that voice came a surge of people pouring in as if they had fallen from the sky. Fei Hu saw that this group was not any smaller than his own; it seemed another bloody battle was about to unfold.
Yingzi waved her hand for everyone to halt. The two groups stood less than ten meters apart. Fei Hu began calculating how they could pass through smoothly; fighting head-on wasn't a solution. He didn't want things to get too bloody; if a few people could resolve the issue without violence, that would be best.
Time passed slowly in the quiet alley as everyone tested each other's patience; neither side wanted to make the first move. Suddenly, a gap opened in the opposing crowd as someone stepped forward while retreating and called out, "Fourth Brother!"
Oh no, it's that troublemaker again—Yellow-Haired Xiao Si! How come he shows up everywhere? What a jinx! When Fei Hu recognized who it was, he couldn't help but curse inwardly.
Little Four cupped his fist toward them and asked loudly, "Which crew are you brothers with? You look unfamiliar; can you reveal your names?"
"Which side are you on?" Fei Hu blurted out, speaking without thinking. Logically, this question shouldn't have come from him, nor should it have been asked in such a manner; it was an unconventional approach that happened to hit the mark.
Little Four noticed that this guy spoke quite boldly, and with so many people behind him, he might be someone not to be trifled with. So he cautiously said, "Brother, I'm working for Brother Tiger. I heard that the person we're looking for is in your hands. Please do us a favor and let this person go. Everything that happened tonight is a misunderstanding. I, Little Four, will personally come to make amends another day."
Exposing his backside while thinking he had a big face, Fei Hu impatiently replied, "What Brother Tiger? I don't know him, and we don't have the person you're looking for. Hurry up and get out of the way, or don't blame us for being rude." Tonight was strange; Fei Hu couldn't control himself and spoke up first as if he were the real boss here. However, Yingzi felt extremely satisfied; someone was standing up for her, giving her a sense of being protected. Sometimes women need this kind of protection.
Seeing Fei Hu being so arrogant, Little Four's expression changed immediately. In City A, when mentioning the Dragon Tiger Gang and Brother Tiger's name, people on the street usually give some face. Even if they didn't, they wouldn't be so direct; this was tantamount to disrespecting Brother Tiger's existence. He couldn't help but get angry and shouted sternly, "It seems you are not from our circle; you’ll regret it if you don’t leave. If you want to fight, then bring it on! Let's settle this with force."
"Hahaha! Fourth Brother wouldn’t happen to not recognize Brother Tiger's men, would he?" Biaozi, who was standing behind Yingzi, suddenly stepped forward and stood beside Fei Hu.
"What? You’re one of the big brother’s men? Why do you look so unfamiliar?" Little Four squinted in the darkness, trying to recognize him. Unfortunately, the light was too dim and he was a bit far away; after staring for a while, he still couldn't confirm.
Fei Hu suddenly had a thought and said mockingly, "I didn't expect Brother Tiger's men to be so timid. Why not come closer and see if we’re real or not? Isn’t it obvious? Hiding like this—are you afraid we’ll eat you?"
Little Four thought to himself that as a powerful subordinate of Brother Tiger from the Dragon Tiger Gang, they wouldn’t dare do anything to him. Moreover, he had so many people behind him. With that in mind, Little Four strode forward a few steps until he was about one or two meters away from Fei Hu and stopped. He leaned his head forward and noticed that Fei Hu was wearing a mask late at night; something seemed off. But it was too late—before he could react, Fei Hu had already taken a step forward and locked his arm around Little Four's neck.
The speed was so fast that neither side had time to react. Fei Hu had already dragged Little Four back. At that moment, Little Four's subordinates finally realized their leader had been captured and rushed over waving their clubs.
Fei Hu tightened his grip and shouted loudly, "Don't come any closer! Be careful or I'll strangle him!"
Little Four's eyes rolled back as he struggled against the chokehold; he never expected Fei Hu to have such strength. He desperately squeezed out four words from his throat: "I'll listen to you."
