In the red sedan, Xia Yan looked Fei Hu up and down, chuckling, "Wow! You've really changed. If I ran into you on the street, I might not even recognize you. With just a little grooming, you're quite handsome. I wonder how many women you would charm."
"Really? I don't feel that way at all," Fei Hu replied, his eyes drifting over Xia Yan. This woman was still the same—stunningly beautiful, enough to make any man’s heart race.
"Why didn't you give me a call? We could hang out sometime," Xia Yan said, pressing the accelerator as the car entered Bright Avenue, completely disregarding whether Fei Hu wanted to join her.
Hang out? What could I possibly do with you? I have no money, no connections, and I'm just an unremarkable virgin. Although that last part isn't worth much, Fei Hu still didn't want to give it to Xia Yan. Despite feeling energized at the sight of her, even his little brothers protested frequently. He knew he had to maintain some boundaries. As he thought this, his hand couldn't help but gently caress Xia Yan's leg clad in black stockings; the sensation was exhilarating.
As Xia Yan drove, she was taken by surprise when Fei Hu suddenly made his move. She felt a jolt of excitement and instinctively shuddered, causing the car to swerve slightly and prompting a chorus of honking from other vehicles on the road.
The car stopped in front of Dynasty Club. After parking, Xia Yan smiled softly and said, "Come upstairs and have some fun with me."
Fei Hu glanced at the flashing neon lights outside the club and the female attendants standing at the entrance. He realized that this place was extravagant and filled with beautiful women—definitely not a place for someone like him, a broke guy. Besides, wearing a security uniform made him feel out of place in such an environment.
So Fei Hu shook his head and said, "No thanks, I'd rather go back! I'm afraid I'll run into someone I know in a place like this."
"Nonsense! What familiar faces could you possibly see here? It's not like it's your security company," Xia Yan replied with an unhappy expression. She stood up and grabbed two large bags from the back seat, tossing them onto Fei Hu.
This woman really has no sense of reason; we’re just not on the same wavelength. Fei Hu felt a bit angry too. But as his hand brushed against the clothes inside the bag, he remembered Xia Yan's kindness towards him and what she had left for him. His heart softened a little. "Xia Yan, it's not that I don't want to go with you; it's just..."
"Enough! I know what kind of person I am; I'm well aware that you look down on me no matter how I treat you," Xia Yan interrupted angrily, banging her fist on the steering wheel.
"Can you let me finish? I've gotten into trouble with some people; I'm worried that if we run into them here, it could cause you problems. Can you understand?" Fei Hu raised his voice, clearly frustrated as well. This woman always used this kind of argument; it was something he couldn't tolerate.
Xia Yan widened her eyes upon hearing this, realizing she might have misunderstood Fei Hu. She quickly said in a low voice, "I'm sorry, I was a bit anxious earlier because I had an appointment. But in your current state, hardly anyone would recognize you. Besides, I've prepared some clothes for you, and I was thinking of adding a little mustache. Just think about it—wouldn't that look special? Who would still recognize you?"
Fei Hu thought this idea was quite good. He remained silent as he opened the bag to find a black suit, a white shirt, and a checkered tie. He thought that once he put on this outfit and added a little mustache, it would indeed be hard for anyone to recognize him.
"Let's change right here," Xia Yan said as she closed the car window. Then she stood up and climbed onto Fei Hu's lap, twisting her hand on his seat, which immediately reclined flat like a small bed.
At that moment, time seemed to stop. The softness of Xia Yan's chest pressed against Fei Hu's, causing him to shiver. He really wanted to push Xia Yan down onto the seat, but just then, several young men passed by the car. They seemed to notice something unusual and turned to look inside. The scene of Xia Yan leaning over Fei Hu was caught right in front of them.
Fei Hu hurriedly pushed Xia Yan off him, reluctantly doing so. In his haste, one of his hands accidentally landed on one of Xia Yan's breasts. Xia Yan shyly scolded him in a soft voice, "Pervert."
A pervert is a pervert; as long as he benefited from it, Fei Hu happily lay back on the seat and quickly changed into the black suit Xia Yan had bought for him. After tying the tie, without even looking in the mirror, Fei Hu felt quite dapper.
At that moment, Xia Yan received a phone call and said repeatedly, "Okay, Brother Ye, I'm already at the door and will be there soon."
"Hey! I haven't asked you what exactly you're taking me for," Fei Hu suddenly remembered this matter, realizing he looked like a groom.
"Stop asking questions; I'm not going to sell you off or anything. Just follow me and play it by ear; it's best if you act mute," Xia Yan said as she took out a small plastic bag from her purse. She tore it open and pulled out a little mustache, sticking it onto Fei Hu without giving him a chance to protest. She looked at it from different angles and pressed it down with her hand as if afraid it would fall off.
Fei Hu was completely confused; he had no idea what kind of scheme this woman was up to. Regardless, he decided to leave himself in her hands.
"Hurry up; you really look like a little Japanese guy," Xia Yan glanced at Fei Hu and picked up a small black handbag from the back seat before pulling him out of the car.
As soon as they got out of the car, Xia Yan linked her arm with Fei Hu's as if they were a loving couple. The two walked silently toward the Dynasty Club. The club's dazzling decor made Fei Hu widen his eyes in amazement. When their reflections appeared on the glass wall, he could hardly believe that the well-dressed man with a little mustache was actually himself. Standing next to Xia Yan made them look like an extraordinary match.
Following Xia Yan felt like navigating through a maze for Fei Hu; he sensed they were going up and down continuously. Moreover, the further they went, the darker the lights in the passage became. At every turn in the corridor stood someone on guard. From experience, Fei Hu felt that Xia Yan was leading him down to the basement.
In front of the gate guarded by two men, Xia Yan took out a card and handed it to the person at the entrance. Only then did she lead Fei Hu to push the door open and walk inside. Oh! Fei Hu was stunned by the scene before him. It was a room of moderate size, with a large oval table placed in the center. Surrounding the table were men and women of all ages, each adorned in luxurious attire, shining brightly.
The soft and comfortable red carpet made Fei Hu hesitant to step on it. The walls of the room were made of an unknown material, depicting mountains and rivers in vivid detail. While Fei Hu was lost in thought, Xia Yan gently tugged at him, bringing him back to reality. He hurriedly followed Xia Yan to the large table.
"Miss Xia, this is unacceptable. Do you think it's appropriate to keep so many people waiting for you?" said a middle-aged man sitting at the head of the table, his voice cold and harsh.
Xia Yan pulled Fei Hu along and sat down in two empty seats before laughing and saying, "Brother Ye, don't be angry. I was stuck in traffic; I was anxious too."
"Who is this person? Is he reliable? You know the rules here. If something goes wrong, you better be careful; Brother Ye won't go easy on a beauty," the middle-aged man's tone was filled with indifference, sending chills down one's spine.
Xia Yan whispered, "Brother Ye, rest assured, this person is absolutely reliable. He is my boyfriend; I guarantee it with my life."
"Hahaha, it seems the rumors aren't true. The famous socialite Miss Xia Yan from City A actually has a boyfriend; what a joke! Alright, enough chit-chat; let's get started," the man laughed before changing the subject.
Fei Hu listened in confusion to their conversation but felt that this woman had brought him to a place full of trouble tonight. He couldn't help but raise his head and quietly assess the man from earlier. He looked to be in his forties, with shifty eyes but very spirited. Behind him stood two blond men; upon seeing them, Fei Hu involuntarily shuddered—one of them was Little Four, who had been hunting him down everywhere.
It was a narrow escape from an enemy; no matter how he tried to hide, he couldn't avoid it. Fei Hu clenched his fists, preparing for a fight. However, Little Four didn't even glance at him, acting as if he didn't recognize him at all. It dawned on Fei Hu that he had undergone significant changes; even if they were acquaintances, if he didn't greet them first, they certainly wouldn't recognize him. With that thought, Fei Hu slowly relaxed.
At that moment, a very attractive woman approached the table holding a deck of cards. She let several people check them first to confirm everything was in order before she began dealing cards—three for each person. Then she pressed a button on the table, and the cards were delivered to everyone in front of them. Fei Hu suddenly realized that Xia Yan had brought him into a gambling game.
Three cards meant they were likely playing a variant of poker called "Zha Jin Hua," which Fei Hu understood well. His heart filled with curiosity and excitement.
