Fei Hu stood in the lobby of the Shengwei Group office building, dressed in a security uniform that made him look somewhat handsome, or at least he thought so himself.
In the morning, there were many people coming to work, mostly women. From their attire and demeanor, Fei Hu could tell they were all white-collar workers. Not only were they beautiful, but they also carried themselves with great confidence, especially those wearing high heels who walked with a straight posture. The way their chests swayed and their hips moved rhythmically caught Fei Hu's attention.
"Hey! Are you Fei Hu?" Just as Fei Hu was admiring the scene, a woman's voice suddenly came from behind him, startling him. He turned around to find it was Helena, the woman who had recruited him yesterday.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Fei Hu replied, "Yes, I am Fei Hu." Helena looked just as she did yesterday, but with her hands behind her back, her figure appeared even more pronounced.
"On your first day at work, don't keep your eyes fixed in one direction. This large hall is all within your scope; there are plenty of beauties to admire later," Helena said with a dismissive smile as she lightly stepped into the elevator.
Wow! It seemed that the HR department was already monitoring attendance on his first day. Fei Hu felt a bit nervous about his earlier behavior; it was clear he couldn't afford to be careless. This was no joke—if he messed up, he could be asked to leave before his probation period ended.
At that moment, a white BMW X1 pulled up at the steps of the lobby. A tall woman in her thirties stepped out, wearing an eye-catching red dress. Her wavy hair cascaded down her shoulders, and she wore a pair of black Big Sunglasses. The V-neckline of her dress revealed glimpses of her curves, and her legs were accentuated by sheer stockings paired with red high heels—she was incredibly sexy.
Fei Hu tried to control his gaze but found it impossible. When faced with such a woman, not looking would be an injustice to his eyes. As she approached him in her high heels, she glanced sideways and said loudly, "New here? Park my car properly." Before Fei Hu could respond, she had already entered the elevator.
Oh wow! It seemed like another high-profile individual; her demeanor suggested she looked down on everyone else. Fei Hu sighed and walked towards the BMW X1—after all, he was a security guard.
He opened the car door and sat inside. Wow! This luxury sedan felt completely different; the high-end interior and expansive view outside were impressive, especially with the scent of perfume wafting through the air—it was refreshing.
Just as Fei Hu parked the car, Team Leader Wang approached him quietly and said, "Brother, her car should be parked in the second spot at the front."
"Isn't it all the same?" Fei Hu asked in confusion.
Team Leader Wang shook his head and explained, "It’s not the same at all. The closer a parking spot is to the entrance, the easier it is to park and exit. Plus, it's a symbol of status; those with higher positions in the company park their cars at the front."
Wow! I didn't know that. Fei Hu quickly drove out and parked in spot 2. Throughout the parking process, Team Leader Wang stayed by his side to guide him. It seemed that the owner of this BMW X1 held an extraordinary position in the company.
After parking, Fei Hu smiled and asked Team Leader Wang, "Boss, who is this car's owner in our company?"
Team Leader Wang glanced at Fei Hu and smiled, "You parked for her without knowing who she is? She is our group's Vice President, Chen Qian."
Ah! Fei Hu was taken aback. He had seen this person's name on the training materials sent to him yesterday, just below Chairman Ye Wei, so he remembered it quite clearly. Fortunately, he had just been reprimanded by Helena today; otherwise, if he had looked at Chen Qian more than necessary like he usually did, he would have been in big trouble.
Fei Hu calmed himself and returned to the lobby. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, and he dared not look around carelessly anymore.
The morning passed uneventfully. Around three in the afternoon, Fei Hu's walkie-talkie buzzed: "126, go to the Chairman's office on the 28th floor. There's a safe you need to move to his car." It was the team leader's voice.
Fei Hu was startled; 126 was his number. He quickly picked up the walkie-talkie and replied, "126 received."
Oh my goodness, on his first day at work, he encountered the two highest leaders in the company. Fei Hu felt a surge of excitement as the elevator quickly reached the 28th floor. The words "Chairman's Office" were very prominent. He gently knocked on the door, and a soft female voice came from inside, "Please come in."
Fei Hu pushed the door open and walked in. A very young girl, looking about twenty years old with a pure and cute face, was sitting at a desk looking at her computer. Upon seeing Fei Hu, she smiled and asked, "Are you here to move something for the Chairman?"
"Yes," Fei Hu nodded.
The girl stood up with a bright smile and said, "Then follow me." Fei Hu was puzzled; this was clearly the Chairman's office, yet there was only this young girl.
Just as Fei Hu was wondering about this, the girl knocked twice on the wall behind her and then pushed it. To his surprise, there was an invisible door! Inside was a completely different world. As Fei Hu followed the girl forward, he stepped into a large office with high-end furnishings. The desk was as big as a bed, there were genuine leather sofas and chairs, and in one corner stood a large cabinet filled with antiques.
"Liu Juan, what is this person doing looking around?" A voice came from behind the large desk. A middle-aged man in his fifties was lounging in a big swivel chair with his feet propped up on the desk. His body was almost hidden within the chair; with the curtains drawn high behind him and bright light flooding in, it was hard to notice that someone else was present. Fei Hu couldn't help but feel startled; why did he keep stumbling into hornet's nests today?
"Oh! Chairman, he is here to move your items," Liu Juan said softly while lowering her head. It seemed she was quite afraid of this old chairman.
The middle-aged man stood up, and only then did Fei Hu see him clearly. He had a round belly and appeared somewhat overweight. His expression while looking at people seemed to be half-smiling; could this be Ye Wei, the chairman of Shengwei Group? This person looked rather ordinary compared to what Fei Hu had imagined.
Ye Wei pointed under the desk and glanced at Fei Hu saying, "Just this safe; move it to the car carefully."
Fei Hu quickly responded, "Okay," bent down to lift it. The safe wasn't large but had some weight to it. Fei Hu didn't dare be careless; he hugged the safe with both hands and walked out.
"You are new here, so remember this: don't look around when you enter my office, and don't talk carelessly when you go out," Ye Wei suddenly said to Fei Hu.
Fei Hu, holding a box, stopped in his tracks and quickly replied, "I understand, Chairman."
Once he left the Chairman's office, Fei Hu hurriedly made his way to Ye Wei's car. After finally managing to get the box into the vehicle, he let out a sigh of relief. Just as he sat down on a chair in the lobby, Helena approached him, prompting Fei Hu to stand up quickly.
"Don't worry, you can sit! Just make sure you know when it's appropriate. When there are no people around, it's fine to sit for a bit. However, when the Chairman and the Vice President pass by, it's best not to be seated. Do you understand what I'm saying?" Helena said with a smile that made her seem like a completely different person from yesterday.
Fei Hu nodded and said, "Thank you, I understand."
"No need to be polite; we will all be colleagues from now on." Helena walked over to Fei Hu's side, picked up the notebook on the chair, flipped through it, and seeing no unusual records, she set it down.
Helena took two steps back but suddenly turned around to ask Fei Hu, "This morning, the Vice President asked you to park her car; that wasn't your request, was it?"
Fei Hu quickly shook his head and said, "No, she asked me to do it."
"Really? That's strange. She usually parks herself. Even on rainy days, she always does it herself. What happened today that made her suddenly ask you? Luckily you can drive; otherwise... it's really puzzling and could catch someone off guard," Helena said while shaking her head helplessly. Then she flashed a sweet smile at Fei Hu and swayed her curvy figure as she walked away.
In just one day, Fei Hu realized that working here was not easy for anyone. Not only did he have to be careful with his tasks, but he also had to gauge his superiors' thoughts. A moment of inattention could easily lead to trouble for himself.
After work, Fei Hu felt a sense of relief. Although the day had been tense, he gained quite a bit from it. He believed that a man should have pressure and be able to withstand it; Fei Hu felt like he had matured significantly.
