Fei Hu's arm wound healed quite quickly, especially since Sun Li had been changing the dressings at home several times. By the seventh day, the gauze was removed because the wound had completely healed.
Without the constraint of the gauze, Fei Hu felt much lighter. Last night, there was an emergency at the hospital, and Sun Li called Fei Hu, which resulted in her not returning home all night. So early in the morning, Fei Hu got up and did some stretching on the balcony, practicing two sets of martial arts taught by his grandfather, feeling much more energetic.
It seemed that he was destined to be miserable; such a comfortable life made Fei Hu feel utterly bored. If it weren't for Sun Li accompanying him for a while after work every day, he might have left long ago. Just thinking about Sun Li invigorated him, especially recalling their conversation from the night before, which moved him deeply. Sun Li said that one day, when she was held in Fei Hu's arms and heard about how he had saved someone only to be chased afterward, she felt that this wild man before her was truly rare in society.
Watching him leap from the third floor, navigate through the grape trellis, and climb trees with ease made Fei Hu appear heroic in Sun Li's eyes. Her long-sealed heart stirred; beautiful women love heroes, after all. Many times, Sun Li had encountered Fei Hu in her dreams, but upon waking, it all felt empty. She even tried to inquire about the elderly person's hospitalization that day, but there was no information about Fei Hu left at the hospital.
It was fate that couldn't be resisted. When they met for the second time, how could Sun Li let Fei Hu slip away from her side again? Thinking about how Sun Li spoke back then made Fei Hu feel sweet inside; he had never experienced a woman treating him like this before. The feeling of being liked was intoxicating.
"What are you daydreaming about? I'm back and there's no response," came Sun Li's sweet voice from behind.
Startled, Fei Hu turned around to see Sun Li, dressed in a white short skirt. Although she looked tired from working the night shift, she was still beautiful. He walked over and couldn't help but kiss her smooth white cheek.
Sun Li smiled and said to Fei Hu: "The results of the pill test have come out."
"Oh! Really? Tell me quickly what it is that caused me to be chased everywhere and almost lose my life," said Fei Hu, visibly excited as he helped Sun Li sit on the sofa. They had been showing off their sweetness like this for days.
With a mischievous smile on her face, Sun Li said: "The result is quite amusing; the English on the capsule says it's an imported Fast-Acting Heart Rescue Pill, but the powder inside is actually imported Viagra."
"Viagra, isn't that advertised outside many pharmacies? I've even heard people jokingly ask if someone took Viagra last night when they were angry. What exactly does this medicine do?" asked Fei Hu, looking puzzled.
Sun Li almost laughed out loud; this man was like a blank slate, seemingly disconnected from the big city. How could he not even know this? How could she explain it to him? Sun Li found herself in a bit of a dilemma. Although their relationship was already quite close, there was still a distinction between men and women, and it felt somewhat awkward for a woman to explain such matters to a man.
Fei Hu did not expect that the usually generous Sun Li would be at a loss for words, her face even showing a hint of redness. What exactly was Viagra that made Sun Li so uncomfortable? It was just a pill, after all.
As a doctor, Sun Li had more exposure to issues related to male and female physiology than the average person. Explaining such matters should have been easy for her, yet she still couldn't bring herself to speak.
"Oh, I see! This Viagra might be a medication for women, and giving it to men could lead to other complications, right?" Fei Hu asked, trying to clarify with Sun Li.
Finally unable to hold back, Sun Li burst into laughter, bending over with tears streaming down her face. Fei Hu was completely bewildered, unsure of what he had said that was so funny.
After laughing, Sun Li wiped her tears with a tissue and then seriously told Fei Hu: "You big fool! You really know too little. Let me explain from my perspective as a doctor what Viagra is actually used for. But you mustn't laugh; otherwise, I'll get angry."
Upon hearing this, Fei Hu thought to himself that there was nothing funny about it; it was just a pill. How could she make such a big deal out of it? So he nodded earnestly.
Clearing her throat, Sun Li seemed to gather her courage before saying: "Viagra is used to treat Erectile Dysfunction and premature ejaculation; it has significant effects on improving these conditions."
"What nonsense is this? The old man is over seventy; how can he take such medication? Isn't that risking his life?" Fei Hu suddenly understood.
Sun Li let out a sigh of relief; she had finally clarified the issue for him. It seemed he wasn't stupid but rather uninformed, the kind of person who needed just a little information to understand.
Feeling anxious, Fei Hu paced back and forth in the living room with an expression of worry. As he walked, he said: "This is bad; it seems someone is trying to frame the old man. Clearly, something has been tampered with in the medication—it's very clever."
"Yes! From the packaging of the pills, it's evident that the old man has Heart Disease, which is why he prepared Fast-Acting Heart Rescue Pills. When he had an episode and took what he thought was medication, it turned out to be Viagra. This undoubtedly accelerated his heart rate. If he were to die from this, no one would know what happened—it's a conspiracy, a very clever scheme. That's why they won't let you off so easily," Sun Li added, echoing Fei Hu's thoughts and revealing the truth behind the situation.
"Then should we find a way to locate this old man, return the pill to him, and let him be prepared in advance to avoid falling into the schemes of bad people?" Fei Hu asked eagerly.
Sun Li shook her head and said, "It's difficult! If we go looking for him, it might backfire. It's better to wait for him to come to you; that way, things will unfold naturally and there will be less danger." After hearing this, Fei Hu couldn't help but nod.
Sun Li got up and carefully took the pill out of her bag, handing it to Fei Hu.
Receiving the pill, Fei Hu felt as if he had strapped a ticking time bomb to himself. He was in quite a predicament; he couldn't just throw it away, and he had no way to return it. He frowned at the thought of this troublesome situation.
Sun Li walked over, patted Fei Hu on the shoulder, and said softly, "It's okay. You still have me. I will help you get through this safely."
Hearing Sun Li's words warmed Fei Hu's heart. He turned around and hugged her tightly. Sun Li shyly leaned her head against his chest and said, "You are the safest here; any girl with good taste would like you."
"Is that so? Then you must be one of those girls with good taste," Fei Hu boldly teased as he playfully poked Sun Li's nose with his finger. Sun Li burst into laughter; these moments were truly wonderful. Fei Hu wished he could stay like this forever. However, he was a man, and as a man, he should take responsibility and act accordingly—something his grandfather often taught him.
Noticing Sun Li's tired appearance, Fei Hu bent down and picked her up, carrying her to the bed. After gently placing her down, just as he was about to leave, Sun Li reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck. With her eyes slightly closed and her alluring lips raised, Fei Hu felt himself getting lost in the moment. He suddenly lunged forward; beneath him, Sun Li squirmed restlessly. With his eyes closed, it felt like he was floating on clouds.
After a passionate kiss, Fei Hu's hands moved downward—first exploring her curves before gliding across smooth skin. As his hand inched closer to the mysterious place in his heart, he silently prayed that she wouldn't reject him. But just as he thought this for the third time, Sun Li pushed him away and softly said, "Let me sleep for a while. Be good and go out for now!"
Every time they reached this point, Sun Li would do this. Fei Hu felt frustrated; it seemed that dealing with women was indeed an art form. No wonder people often talked about being skilled at wooing girls—he used to think otherwise but now realized how true it was.
Fei Hu walked out of Sun Li's room with his head down and a look of disappointment on his face. Suddenly, he remembered that today was Thursday; tomorrow was Sheng Wei's recruitment day—a chance he couldn't afford to miss. However, he couldn't let Sun Li know; if she found out, she would definitely disapprove. He decided to wait until she went on her night shift before sneaking out. Being careful was essential, so he returned to his room and went to sleep.
