Under the blazing sun, which made everyone want to dive into the water and never come out, Fei Hu was busy loading a ship with cargo at the dock. The heavy burlap sacks weighed over a hundred pounds each, leaving the workers with no chance to catch their breath. By mid-morning, two people had already fainted. To avoid delaying the ship's departure, the Boss raised the pay to one yuan per bag, but few could still manage to carry them. 0

As time passed and noon approached, the ground temperature rose. A bead of sweat fell from Fei Hu's face and shattered into four pieces upon hitting the ground, disappearing instantly. By the end, he could no longer sweat; walking on the concrete felt like walking on cotton—light and weak. He realized he might be suffering from heatstroke. When the last bag hit the deck with a thud, Fei Hu lost consciousness. When he awoke, he found himself lying in the air-conditioned office of the ship's Boss. 0

As soon as Fei Hu opened his eyes, his fellow workers gasped in surprise, and several of them gave him a thumbs-up in unison. The Boss approached with a bottle of mineral water and said with a smile, "You really worked hard, young man. Even though you suffered from heatstroke, my ship left on time without affecting my delivery. Your wages for today are doubled." He handed Fei Hu two crisp hundred-yuan bills, making the other workers envious. 0

Fei Hu's constitution was truly remarkable; after resting in the air-conditioned room and drinking three bottles of mineral water, he regained his energy. He transitioned from lying down to sitting up and felt revitalized after eating two boxes of free lunch provided by the Boss. 0

Just as everyone was preparing to take a break, the Boss walked in with a smile and raised his voice: "Alright, staying in the air-conditioned room too long can lead to colds. Zhang Boss next door has just received a shipment of timber; you all need to go help him unload it. You won't be shortchanged." 0

Although everyone complained about having to work in such heat, they knew they had to comply since they had eaten his food and taken his money. 0

The group jogged toward the cargo area with their clothes on their heads. As they entered through the gate, they encountered a guy with yellow hair and a dark face wearing large sunglasses. Perhaps due to the heat, he was walking briskly. Suddenly, an unusual gust of wind swept through the clear sky, scattering their clothes everywhere—a strange occurrence given there wasn't a cloud in sight. 0

As the yellow-haired man passed by Fei Hu, who was picking up clothes, he paused slightly and glanced at him from behind his dark glasses before quickly speeding away. 0

In an instant, two dark clouds appeared in the previously clear sky and spread rapidly. Just as Fei Hu and his coworkers began working, the sun was obscured by clouds. One worker cheered, "Haha! The heavens are afraid we'll get sunburned and changed the weather!" 0

Fei Hu looked up; based on his experience living in deep mountains, he recognized that such clouds meant heavy rain was imminent—nothing to celebrate since it likely meant their afternoon work would be wasted. 0

A flash of lightning split the sky followed by booming thunder. At that moment, over twenty yellow-haired men armed with wooden sticks appeared at the cargo area entrance. Leading them was none other than the guy with sunglasses. 0

Seeing these yellow-haired men while watching Zhang Boss unload cargo, he hurried over with a smile and asked, "Fourth Brother? Didn't you just leave?" 0

"Stop wasting time; close the cargo area gate," said the yellow-haired man as he removed his Big Sunglasses. Oh no! It turned out he was Little Four from Dragon Tiger Gang—Fei Hu was about to get into trouble again. 0

At that moment, with a loud thunderclap, heavy rain began to pour down from the sky. Fei Hu felt a chill run through him. Just as he lowered his head, he saw Little Four leading a group of yellow-haired thugs charging towards him. In an instant, Fei Hu raised a half-log that he had just unloaded from the boat and swung it at the group. 0

With a scream, the yellow-haired thugs scattered in all directions. Seizing the opportunity, Fei Hu dashed out in a few quick steps. By the time Little Four shouted for his men to catch Fei Hu, he had already reached the entrance of the cargo yard. He pushed open the door just as Boss Zhang was about to close it, and in an instant, he was on the road by the riverbank. At that moment, the rain poured down as if it were being dumped from the sky. 0

Since he was already soaked to the skin, Fei Hu didn't care about finding shelter anymore. He walked through the heavy rain like a madman, thinking that with such heavy rain, the yellow-haired thugs probably wouldn't chase after him. He figured he might as well enjoy a natural bath. 0

Suddenly, the screech of tires startled Fei Hu. He quickly turned around and saw a pickup truck splashing water as it came to a sudden stop behind him. A large group of people jumped out of the truck, waving their belongings and surrounding Fei Hu. As they got closer, he realized it was the same group of yellow-haired thugs. It was too late to run now; besides, they were in a vehicle, making it clear that shaking them off wouldn't be easy. 0

Fei Hu couldn't help but feel anger rising within him. "Damn it! I have no grievances with you; why are you pressing me so hard? It's just a pill! Even if it's some kind of elixir, it shouldn't cost me my life!" 0

In the pouring rain, Little Four panted heavily and said, "Brother, I respect you as a man, but you shouldn't have gotten involved with the Dragon Tiger Gang. Hand over the pill, and I'll let you live; today you won't escape." 0

Fei Hu thought to himself that if he had intended to hand it over, he would have done so long ago. Why wait until today? He didn't want to back out of his promise; that was his principle in life. As for whatever gang nonsense this was about, he couldn't care less—wasn't that something only seen in movies? It was possible that this yellow-haired thug was just trying to intimidate him. 0

As the rain gradually lightened up, Little Four realized that Fei Hu wasn't saying anything and understood that this wild-looking guy was not going to back down easily. It seemed they would have to resort to violence; if they let him escape today, he would either be beaten to death by their boss or scolded severely. 0

"Go!" Little Four waved his hand and produced an iron rod. This kid really seemed intent on causing harm. 0

The yellow-haired thugs brandished wooden sticks under Little Four's command and closed in on Fei Hu. The sticks swung towards him one after another. Fei Hu quickly retaliated but found his wet clothes clinging to him and hindering his movements. Meanwhile, these yellow-haired thugs were all bare-chested; from this alone, Fei Hu had already lost an advantage. 0

Before long, Little Four's iron rod grazed Fei Hu's arm, causing blood to gush out. The yellow-haired thugs seemed invigorated today as they charged forward recklessly. Soon enough, Fei Hu felt like he could barely hold on—was he really going to be beaten to death here? If so, he would die with regrets because none of his life dreams would be fulfilled. 0

Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, two motorcycles with sirens blaring approached rapidly. Seeing this, the yellow-haired thugs' expressions changed dramatically as one shouted, "Get in the car! The police are coming!" 0

Despite their seemingly unremarkable appearance, these yellow-haired thugs were incredibly fast at fleeing—some crawled while others swung themselves away—and in an instant, the small pickup truck splashed through puddles and disappeared from sight. 0

"What happened?" A young police officer jumped off one of the motorcycles and asked Fei Hu. 0

Fei Hu covered the wound on his arm with one hand and exclaimed in a panic, "Robbery." 0

Young Police Officer looked Fei Hu up and down and said, "Robbery? What valuable things did you have? Did they come with a whole gang?" 0

Little Tiger remained silent, thinking to himself, since you all know this, why not hurry up and chase them instead of asking pointless questions here. 0

Young Police Officer glanced at Fei Hu's bleeding arm and quickly said, "Let's get you to the hospital first! We will investigate this matter." With that, he helped Fei Hu onto his motorcycle. 0

The police car cleared the way, and they soon arrived at the hospital. Young Police Officer handed Fei Hu over to the emergency room staff and left. Perhaps due to being caught in the rain, the doctor found that Fei Hu had a high fever after bandaging his wound and immediately decided to keep him for observation. This frightened Fei Hu half to death; he hoped it wasn't an infection. 0

From his pocket, Fei Hu took out two wet bills he had gotten today and barely managed to pay for his hospitalization. The Cashier initially refused to accept his damp money, but seeing that he truly had no other funds, reluctantly accepted the two bills with an unhappy expression. 0

Lying on the hospital bed, Fei Hu recalled the awkwardness of paying and felt extremely upset. It seemed that people could have everything except for illness; they could have nothing but money. 0

"Which one is the new patient?" A pleasant female voice accompanied a nurse in a white coat as she walked in. 0

Fei Hu quickly sat up and said, "That's me." 0

The nurse glanced at Fei Hu and suddenly asked softly, "How is it you?" 0

Fei Hu looked puzzled; did she recognize him? But he had no recollection of her at all. Seeing his confusion, the nurse smiled slightly and removed her large mask. When Fei Hu saw her face, he nearly shouted; she was actually Head Nurse Sun Li. 0
