"What's the appearance of the Fleet Girl in black clothing?" Chuyang asked eagerly. The person who could make North Residence follow her must have been one of the Fleet Girls from his previous Naval Base.
"She has short silver hair, red pupils just like North Residence, a serious expression, and rarely speaks. She looks very stern."
"Does she have a pair of cat ears on her head? No, the hair on top looks like a pair of cat ears." Chuyang raised his hands to gesture at his head. However, as a grown man making such gestures, it looked quite awkward, and Old Jack didn't immediately understand what he meant.
"Uncle, it's like this." Saying that, Richelieu styled her hair into a pair of cat ears.
With cat ears, Richelieu still had a calm expression, but she looked really cute. Speaking of which, should someone buy Richelieu a cat ear-shaped accessory? That thought was rather mischievous.
This time Old Jack finally understood and quickly nodded, "That's right, her hairstyle is like that, just much shorter than yours, miss."
"Bismarck."
That's right; with such an appearance, aside from Bismarck, there was no one else. Moreover, the only one who could easily move Tirpitz, who was such a homebody, was her sister Bismarck.
Thinking back to what Lexington said about the old Naval Base days, aside from going out on missions, Tirpitz hardly ever left home. Sometimes even Bismarck couldn't do anything about her sister; let alone anyone else.
"If the sister is named Bismarck, then North Residence must be Tirpitz," Old Jack said with disdain as he looked at Chuyang and teased, "Back in the Old World, she looked like someone who was neglected by her grandmother and unloved by her uncle. Who would have thought that after becoming a Fleet Girl, she still couldn't escape such a fate and was abandoned by that scummy Admiral? Poor child!"
".........." Chuyang was speechless.
After officially entering service in World War II, the Tirpitz rarely returned to Germany, spending most of its time operating in Norwegian waters, moving between several ports in Norway. It spent its days idly in Norway, either huddled down waiting for the Royal Navy to drop bombs or engaging in only three sorties, one of which provided a chance to fire back. As a result, the Norwegians affectionately dubbed it the "Northern Lonely Queen."
After the war, the already sunk Tirpitz was salvaged once more. However, the Norwegians did not intend to repair her; instead, they collaborated with the Germans to violently dismantle the ship in broad daylight using various tools, breaking it down into small pieces and selling it as scrap metal. Truly a gruesome fate!
In summary, throughout World War II, the Germans treated her like an unwanted child left in a distant and cold place (Norway), never allowing her to return home and showing no concern for her. They merely used her as a target to attract British firepower and ultimately failed to protect her from being sunk by the British. Thus, the real history of the Tirpitz is quite pitiful; she was like a neglected stepchild.
"Do you know where they went?" Chuyang brought up this question again.
"I don't know," Old Jack shook his head.
Although Chuyang had not held much hope when he arrived, hearing this news from Old Jack still left him feeling disappointed.
After more than ten days of traveling from Asia to Europe over thousands of kilometers, this was the outcome he received. Chuyang's frustration was understandable. More importantly, because of him, the Fleet Girls were scattered all over the world. Thinking about Andrea Doria's murmurs in her sleep and Richelieu crying as she held him tightly, begging him not to leave, Chuyang felt an overwhelming sense of guilt.
When a Fleet Girl loses her Admiral, it's akin to losing her spiritual anchor; there is little difference from losing life's purpose. Even if they appear glamorous on the surface, inside they remain lonely and restless.
This is why he was so eager to find all the Fleet Girls; he didn't want to miss any piece of information. But now, all leads had come to an end. Finding them again among the vast sea of people would be like searching for a needle in a haystack.
"By the way, North Residence entrusted me with something before leaving and said she would come back for it when she had time. Since you are her Admiral, I’ll hand it over to you; it might be useful in your search for her." Saying this, Old Jack stood up and opened a room door, dragging out a black suitcase from inside.
"What’s inside?" Chuyang asked with sudden interest.
"I don’t know; how could I casually open someone else's belongings?" Old Jack's face showed slight displeasure.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way." Chuyang said awkwardly as he scratched his head, taking the suitcase from Old Jack and placing it directly on the ground.
The suitcase was one of those with a combination lock. Fortunately, Tirpitz hadn't set a password, so Chuyang was able to open it quite easily.
However, when he saw what was inside, he couldn't help but feel a mix of amusement and exasperation. Instead of the clothes he had imagined, the suitcase was neatly packed with a pile of books. From their covers, it was clear that all these books were adult-themed.
"Such a nerdy girl," Richelieu muttered under her breath. She also understood why Tirpitz had chosen to store this suitcase here; if Bismarck found out about these items, they would surely be confiscated.
After glancing through the contents, Chuyang was about to close the suitcase when his attention was caught by a pink-covered book in the mesh pocket on the inside of the lid.
"It’s been three months since leaving Naval Base, and without any news. I should find a place to live; I can't keep sleeping on the streets."
"It must have been half a year! Finally got a reply from the publisher; now I can finally pay my rent."
"So boring. I miss my sister and Admiral; I wonder how everyone is doing?"
"Bastard Admiral, I swear I'll never draw those kinds of books again."
"My sister is coming! She said it wasn't Admiral who abandoned everyone; it seems something unknown happened at Naval Base. I wonder how Admiral is... I'm leaving here tomorrow. My sister wants me to go with her to find Little House and Admiral. I hope we can find them!"
The pink-covered book wasn't an adult-themed book but rather a diary. The black ink written in pen wasn't particularly neat, but it was clear it came from a girl's hand. Perhaps due to laziness, there were only five entries in the entire diary, and not even a date was noted. Rather than being a diary, it felt more like random thoughts jotted down by Tirpitz.
