Richelieu has been feeling a bit troubled lately, partly because of the Admiral and partly due to running out of money.
As a fashionable girl leading the trends of the times, she is just like those ordinary human girls who always feel like their wardrobe is missing something.
To put it bluntly, ever since leaving the Naval Base, Richelieu has turned into a crazy shopaholic. Fortunately, she is a Fleet Girl and a powerful Mercenary, and the commissions from her missions are more than enough to support her extravagant spending.
But that was in the past; for the past six months, she hasn't received a single commission. Unfortunately, there aren't many companies that can afford someone as powerful as a Vice Admiral Level Ship Girl, so she is now facing a financial crisis. If she doesn't get any missions soon, she won't be able to buy clothes or even afford basic meals.
Amidst her worries, while working on Mass, this French Cardinal ship exploded in frustration, driving all the false believers out of the church and declaring that no one who is not devout to the Lord would be allowed to step into the church again.
In reality, she herself is also a false believer. Whether it’s spreading doctrine or acting like a spendthrift shopaholic, it’s all just to distract herself and pass the long hours of boredom, allowing her to forget about the Admiral, whom she has internally labeled as Faithless Bokukirou.
In the darkness, Richelieu stood quietly in the prayer hall, trying to calm her mind but finding that the night did not bring her any peace. Instead, the face that kept flashing in her mind made her increasingly agitated.
After eating and drinking well, Firefly pushed open the heavy wooden door of the church and slipped into the dark prayer hall under such circumstances.
“Who? Didn’t I say not to come to the church anymore? Do you want me to break your legs?” The voice was unusually cold, filled with an uncontainable anger.
“Ah! Break my legs? But big sister, why would you break my legs?” Firefly exclaimed in surprise but showed no signs of retreating as she walked toward the vaguely visible tall figure.
“A little girl? Why does your voice sound familiar?” Thinking this, Richelieu pressed the switch on the wall light, and an orange glow instantly illuminated the entire prayer hall.
In the bright light, two Fleet Girls with golden hair and blue eyes stared at each other for two full seconds before Loli broke the silence.
“Richelieu sister.” Firefly ran toward the woman dressed in a red cardinal robe.
Catching hold of Richelieu sister would surely earn her praise from Brother Chu Yang for being capable.
“Firefly?!” Richelieu exclaimed as she picked up the rushing Loli and affectionately rubbed Firefly's nose. “Firefly, what are you doing here? Were you also abandoned by the Admiral?”
"Richelieu, I'm here with Brother Chu Yang!"
"Brother Chu Yang?"
"That's Admiral!"
"Which Admiral?"
"The one from the former Naval Base!"
"The former Naval Base Admiral." In an instant, the face from the photo flashed through Richelieu's mind.
"Is the Admiral here specifically to find me?"
"No..."
"Where is he?" Richelieu's expression darkened like water, the anger and resentment that had accumulated over the past four years peaked with the firefly's answer.
"Brother Chu Yang is at the street stall." The somewhat confused Loli answered honestly.
With a flicker of illusory light, a knight's sword radiating a chilling glow was grasped tightly by Richelieu.
"Ah! Richelieu, what are you doing?" Loli finally understood and, without waiting for Richelieu's response, dashed out of the church.
Loli had previously traveled far and wide with Circus, her experiences rivaling those of adults. She recalled the plays and operas she had seen, such as "Qin Xianglian's Fury Kills Chen Shimei," "Juliet's Sword Cuts Romeo," and "Yang Guifei Hangs Herself, Emperor Tang." The images of a lovesick woman from a century ago and a wronged wife from a millennium ago flooded her mind. Thinking back to when she had seen Richelieu gazing longingly at Admiral's photo many times in the Naval Base, along with the gleaming sword in Richelieu's hand now, Loli felt her heart sink to the bottom.
No, she had to warn Brother Chu Yang to run before Richelieu found Admiral.
Thinking this way, Loli ran even more joyfully. To Richelieu, this only further confirmed Chuyang's identity as a heartless man.
Under the dim streetlight, a girl with long golden hair, dressed in church attire, held a gleaming longsword in her hand. She looked fierce and intimidating, drawing the attention of passersby. Those who witnessed this scene quickly fled to the nearby food stall to warn the young men who might have offended Lydia to escape for their lives.
To be honest, Richelieu never really intended to do anything to Chuyang; she was just unable to swallow the resentment in her heart.
Thinking about how she had spent all these years constantly thinking about that bastard who abandoned her, while he had never sought her out, Richelieu felt an overwhelming sadness. Looking at Firefly's appearance, it was clear that Admiral had come to Haitang Bay Town not to find her, which made Richelieu feel even worse inside.
But what good would it do for her to confront him? The Admiral had already abandoned her; as a discarded woman, what right did she have to teach him a lesson?
However, when Richelieu saw Lexington sitting together with the Admiral from a distance, the nameless anger in her heart flared up again.
Why? Why could Lexington receive a wedding ring and stay by your side while I was abandoned and left here in this desolate place waiting desperately for your arrival? What makes me less worthy than Lexington?
On the other side, Firefly had already run up to Chuyang.
"Firefly, what are you talking about? Richelieu is coming over? Which Richelieu?" Chuyang looked at the panting Loli with confusion.
"Do you have many Fleet Girls named Richelieu? Or have you completely forgotten about me?" The cold and emotionless words suddenly rang in Chuyang's ears.
When Chuyang turned around, what met his eyes was a sword tip glinting with cold light and a frosty face filled with determination.
