Today is Monday. For office workers, it is undoubtedly a painful experience to squeeze onto public buses or trams early in the morning, still not having recovered from the indulgence and revelry of the weekend. Yet, despite their reluctance, as the sun's rays illuminate the entire Rongcheng, the streets and alleys of this coastal metropolis are filled with pedestrians of all kinds. 0

There are students with backpacks chasing and playing by the roadside, humming: "The sun is shining bright, flowers smile at me, little birds say good morning, why are you carrying a bundle of dynamite..." There are sanitation workers sweeping the streets with brooms. There are office workers with neatly combed hair carrying briefcases, as well as factory workers dressed in blue uniforms. There are hardworking individuals riding bicycles through the crowd, and social elites sitting in black sedans. There are middle-aged women in simple clothing busy at stoves making pancakes for nearby customers. There are also hostesses in bright red dresses standing at the entrance of a fast-food restaurant, welcoming guests for the grand opening... 0

"Firefly, you can stay home and play today. If you feel bored, just go to the amusement park for Fleet Girls located to the north of our community. Just walk to the end of this road and turn east; you'll find it there," said Chuyang, squatting down to tidy up Firefly's slightly messy hair. To be honest, Chuyang was quite skilled at household chores like cooking and cleaning, but when it came to styling Firefly's hair into pretty pigtails, he was at a loss. After all, counting his past life and this one combined, he had never styled a girl's hair before—except for Firefly. 0

So this morning, Firefly's hairstyle was a bit... well, you know. 0

"Got it, Brother Chuyang. If you don't leave soon, you'll be late," Firefly reminded him. Her bright eyes sparkled with light blue irises rolling around; it was hard to tell what mischief was brewing in little Kiddo's mind. 0

"Okay, I'm leaving now. Be careful when you go out to play, especially with those bad guys holding lollipops..." Chuyang chuckled at himself. How could he forget Firefly's identity as a Fleet Girl? Not to mention those child traffickers; even fully armed special police couldn't harm little Kiddo in the slightest. So instead of worrying about Firefly, he should be concerned about those clueless bad guys and hope they wouldn't provoke her; otherwise, the consequences could be dire. 0

"Oh, I know that, Brother Chuyang. I'm not a little kid." 0

"Alright then, when I get back from school this afternoon, I'll take you shopping for clothes. Make sure to wait for me at home." Chuyang originally intended to return the pink tutu dress to Children's Clothing Store but Firefly insisted it wasn't necessary. However, when Chuyang opened Firefly's suitcase to fetch her change of clothes, he discovered something quite strange. 0

In that small suitcase, aside from the intimate clothing Firefly wore, there were only two outer garments: one was the Winter Combat Uniform she mentioned earlier and the other was an identical blue campus outfit that had a strong British style—just like what she wore yesterday. It was obvious that both pieces were old clothes. No matter how clean they were washed, due to prolonged wear and repeated washing, the fabric had faded significantly and there were many little fuzz balls on the collar and cuffs. Thus, Chuyang planned to buy some new clothes for little Kiddo. 0

What he didn't know was that during her time at Squirrel Circus, both Feilin as the leader and the staff had bought many clothes for Firefly. Unfortunately, no matter how beautiful those clothes were, she had never worn them once but instead passed them on to other children in the Circus who were around her age. 0

As for why little Kiddo did this: even without wearing clothes bought by others, she could afford to buy herself many beautiful outfits with her own income. However, in Firefly's heart, she only liked the clothes Admiral bought for her; hence her suitcase contained only those two outer garments. 0

The Winter Combat Uniform is a topic best left untouched, as it remains an everlasting pain in Loli's heart. However, the two British-style sweaters paired with short skirts, which are elementary school uniforms, are Firefly's favorites. This is simply because one was worn right after she was created by Admiral, while the other was packed in the suitcase that Admiral prepared for her. In a way, both identical outfits were bought by Admiral for her. Therefore, even though they are old and worn, Firefly cannot bear to throw them away. She carefully washes them and takes them to a tailor for repairs. She still finds joy in wearing this old garment, which has been washed and mended countless times, on certain mornings after waking from her dreams. 0

"Are you blind when you walk?" A sudden roar exploded in Chuyang's ear. 0

The speaker was a middle-aged man in his forties, dressed in a black suit and tie. 0

At that moment, the man was sitting in the driver's seat of a black sedan, his slightly balding head poking out of the window as he glared angrily at Chuyang, who stood in front of the car. 0

How could this middle-aged man not be angry? It was clearly a green light when suddenly someone dashed out from the side. If he hadn't reacted quickly enough and if the car hadn't been going fast, it would have definitely resulted in a collision. If it weren't for the fact that the other person was dressed entirely in white Admiralty attire, he would have certainly unleashed a torrent of curses instead of merely questioning him. 0

"I'm sorry," Chuyang quickly apologized and hurriedly stepped back from the middle of the road. However, his gaze involuntarily swept over to the half-rolled-down window of the back seat of the black sedan. 0

"How beautiful." Although he already knew that there was a Fleet Girl inside the car, Chuyang was still taken aback by her stunning appearance. She was a young woman with flaxen hair and sky-blue eyes. 0

Noticing Chuyang's gaze upon her, she returned his look with a modest smile. 0

"What am I thinking? With someone like me being African, how could I possibly have such good luck to meet a ship?" As he watched the black sedan disappear at the end of the road, Chuyang couldn't help but chuckle at himself and walked towards the entrance of Rongcheng Naval Academy across the street. 0

Yet, why did that Fleet Girl give him a sense of familiarity? Chuyang could absolutely guarantee that he had never seen her before; where could this feeling possibly come from? 0
