"I can help you," I said calmly, "but you must agree to one condition."
"What condition?" the man asked eagerly.
"Tell me, who is your sister's boyfriend?"
The man was taken aback for a moment, seemingly not expecting me to ask such a question. After hesitating for a moment, he whispered, "I... I don't know his name, I only know his last name is Li, and he's an Antique Dealer."
"Antique Dealer?" I frowned slightly, feeling more puzzled. "How long has your sister been dating him?"
"About... two months, I guess." The man lowered his head, as if lost in thought. "They met at an antique auction. My sister is very interested in antiques, so..."
"An auction?" I caught the key information in his words. "Which auction house?"
The man looked up, a hint of confusion flashing in his eyes, but he answered honestly, "It's the one in the west of the city, called... what's it called... 'Treasure Pavilion.'"
"Treasure Pavilion..." I repeated the name softly, a vague suspicion forming in my mind.
"Why are you asking these questions?" The man finally couldn't contain his curiosity and asked, "Does this have anything to do with my sister's death?"
I glanced at him and said calmly, "It's not certain yet, but I need more information." I paused for a moment before continuing, "How about this? Take me to your sister's grave; maybe we can find some clues there."
The man seemed hesitant. He looked at me and then at the jade pendant in his hand, as if weighing the pros and cons.
I did not urge him; I simply stood there quietly, waiting for his decision. I knew that for someone who had just lost a loved one, any glimmer of hope was incredibly precious.
"Alright..." The man finally made up his mind. He lifted his head, his eyes filled with sadness and hope. "I'll take you there. Just find out the cause of my sister's death, and I'll do whatever you ask!"
"Good." I nodded and turned to walk outside. "Let's go."
The man hurriedly followed my steps as we walked out of the Funeral Home, one after the other.
I reached the roadside and hailed a taxi, while the man silently trailed behind me.
"To Southern Cemetery," I told the driver.
The driver nodded and started the car.
Throughout the ride, the man remained silent, tightly gripping the jade pendant in his hand as if it were his last hope.
I closed my eyes, repeatedly recalling what the man had said and the strange aura emanating from the pendant.
My intuition told me that this matter was not simple.
An hour later, the taxi stopped at the entrance of Southern Cemetery.
I paid the fare and got out of the car with the man.
"This is it," he said, pointing deep into the Cemetery with a low voice.
I followed his finger and saw a green tombstone that appeared particularly glaring under the sunlight.
Taking a deep breath, I stepped deeper into the Cemetery, while the man silently followed behind me.
We walked through rows of graves until we finally arrived at his sister's grave.
This was a New Grave, with the girl's name and dates of birth and death engraved on the tombstone.
The man stood in front of the grave, gazing at the tombstone for a long time, the sadness in his eyes almost overflowing.
I did not disturb him; I simply stood quietly to the side, observing the surroundings.
This was a newly developed cemetery, with the surrounding trees still quite small. The sunlight shone down unobstructed, making the area feel particularly spacious and silent.
I closed my eyes, carefully sensing the surrounding Energy Fluctuation.
Suddenly, I felt an unusual Energy Fluctuation coming from deep within the cemetery. It felt like a cold flame silently burning.
I abruptly opened my eyes, my gaze locking onto a grove deep within the cemetery.
There must be something there!
